Your patern testing with all the different combinations of guns, chokes and shells is outstanding. You guys have to have a small fortune tied up in all of this and the turkey hunting public needs to give you a big THANK YOU! I have been watching since I bought a Rossi Turkey 410 for my grandsons to use, but have not been able to find any TSS of any brand for it. I will be ready with the TSS for next turkey season in the fall. For the past several years I have used a smoothbore 62cal. flintlock that I built for turkey and fortunate enough to harvest 2 gobblers a year for the past 3 years here in PA and 1 bird the year before that. With that gun they have to be close, way inside 40 yards. My little grandson enjoys shooting the Rossi and with a little over a week of the season left we are going to try to get a gobbler within 20 yards for him to try to kill with 3" lead #6 shot in the Rossi.

Yessir that will work! And yes I do it’s over 10K spent on the channel just last year it isn’t cheap but I love doing and I don’t mind working a ton of OT to fund it!
It will pay off in the end i know it!

Also hawk would be EXTREMELY jealous of that flintlock! It’s been his goal for a couple years now to take one that way

Tell Hawk the hardest part is building the gun. There are a lot of excellent builders out there. I personally won't go back to cartrige guns because of the fun I have with flintlocks. The only more excitment I got was shooting one with a longbow, but this year I turn 70 and it gets harder to use the longbow accurately in all the contorted positions you get in hunting spring gobblers. The movement of drawing the bow at the right time usually kills the deal.

      That is extremely impressive!

This pattern series is best info for experienced and new hunters on the internet rn on choke gun and ammo combos hands down. Punched my first ky tag of the season today and I probably wouldn’t have had my setup shooting as good as it does without this series! Spoiler the rouge #9s are pretty much the grim reaper for turkeys in my 301 lol

You can’t shot one shot and call it data in my opinion. Love the videos regardless keep it up

We call it reference, that’s why we do it so you don’t have to waste a shell or any money for that matter to see what a setup could do on paper

I'm sorry Brothers...camera dude made me laugh out loud...."its centered, you just shot his feet off". I truly appreciate you honesty on the shells...I was holding my breath. I've had nothing but issues with Browning shells...I'd like to see those shells at 20yds. If you're using Browning; you will be talking that bird in close. Can you add a lit of hand load companies ??
Absolutely the best Honest pattern tests on the Tubes

Burgess creek, Wilson custom loads, rogue apex etc all solid
      Appreciate that man!

Thats one reason i am hoping for a 3 shot consistency test with tss loads without any component changes. I think it will b surprising

To me that just goes to show you that the Ammo suppliers don`t care at $ 40.00 plus for 5 shells you can`t afford to have a bad of shells bunch like that. Put the 385 Choke back in and a new Target up and try it again. With this said I guess I need to start looking around for a Reloader and then see how hard it will be to get Primers, Power, Wads, Hulls Enjoyed it

Just have to invest in quality hand loading companies if you’re gonna get tss

Sorry guys I must take a stand for Browning 410 tss I have pattern my G2 viper with sig Romeo 5 and factory choke. It’s light’s out every time. You would have to shoot at least all 5 shots out of that box to prove anything. I think you flinched from the recoil. 😂 probably the code black turd choke

It’s just so hit or miss with them shells, when they shoot good they are impressive but as you can see when they fail ya they are AWFUL

  • @-lovefromnh
    @-lovefromnh 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Why not shoot another one to show the comparison? The Browning TSS has always been garbage from my experience.

It’s been lights out and it’s been trash it’s way to inconsistent
Also that was the last two shells of that box as I went over in the video

I have to agree. I had a guy laugh at me for recommending Burgess Creek TSS to someone. Turned out to be a guy from Foxtrot. I won't do business with them.
