I doo about 50% or more of my training with shotguns. When you are limited to 5 rounds in your rifles you can get your shotgun in battery so much quicker. A determined man can do a hell of a lot with a 12 gauge pump and a couple big ass knives than most people think.

Advantage #1 Throws a lot of lead...3" shell of # 4 buck throws 41 (24 cal. ) bullets with one pull of the trigger #2 Can take out more than one person with each pull of the trigger. #3 Versatile Different size of projectiles for hunting and self defense......Get a shotgun with choke tubes... Some Bird loads BB - #4 (especially in Tungsten ) will kill a human quickly out to 30 yards. Tungsten is 40 percent denser then lead. I have the best pattern load with a full choke, Mossberg 500, Federal 000 buck....at 40 - 45 yards all 8 pellets hit a man size target. Thanks for the video

the hell you can't. It wont pierce soft armor and buckshot wont pierce ONE sidewall of a tire, windshield or car door beyond 10m and wont do so at 5m if the angle of the shot is much less than 90 degrees. The shotshells are heavy, bulky, fragile, expensive, awkward to carry , slow to reload. TRY getting 7 hits per second with a pump 12 and buck shot like Micelek can do with an AR, and the autorifle can be SILENCED, with subsonic ammo. You cant take down conceal the shotgun, nor use it effectively with one arm. Given a riot barrel and normal 00 buck, there's head and shoulder sized holes in the pattern at a mere 30m, so you can be centered on a cover-user and never touch him, Ditto if he's head on prone to you and wearing a helmet. NOBODY is much good with $1+ per shot 12 ga slugs. If you were inclined to spend that much money, youd have a silenced AR with a 22 unit, saving you $1 per shot. You have no intention of using slugs swiftly, I know that cause if you were, youd use the rifle instead. Your blasts will call in every enemy within a mile radius and tha'ts likely to be dozens of them. Anyone can tell the difference between a shotgun blast and a rifle's crack. It says "I'm right here and I"m stupid/easy pickings"

@@thelasthuntsmanoutdoors TAC-14: AFAIK they were reliable but not that many in circulation before Remington folded. Being able to one hand before reloads is huge, makes a (soft/3A) shield workable (racking a pump off a shield isn't great, you're set-up for jams and you need a bumper customized to grab with your slide assembly) without a buddy, actually usable for home defense.
How does the recoil feel one handing a TAC-14 though? A fullsize 590A1 with a raptor grip isn't bad, actual shockwaves are 2-3 pounds lighter, a tac is about the same but the gas system timing is a wildcard.... you know what you need to do.

I'll put em in 3"chedditte clear hulls with 30gr Longshot, bpi brushwad, nitro card, slug, roll crimp. Basically the Same recipe for 00 buck with a clear overshot card. I love me a shotgun!! Like yoy said, several times, shotgun is limited. A shotgun is a fat little pig that stays hungry and slow to reload, but when Piglet connects, it makes a mess.
But if we were going to war, it would be a rifle, all the way.
My first time seeing your video, pretty good, guys.
Had a robbery once, guys dressed up like Burger King employees and were still on the scene. Had it not been for the presence of the shotgun, it could have been ugly for a couple of officers.

@@woodman1701 The hard side saddles are outdated and often require permanent gunsmithing and modification to your shotgun that can damage reliability. Another thing about them is the plastic shell holders will wear out with actual use, so then you’ll have to do more gunsmithing vs the Esstac or other soft system obviously can wear out but it’s a throw it away and get another and they are cheap which require No gunsmithing, also they do not potentially ruin your shotgun’s reliability. Finally with the soft ones as you use your rounds up you can slap another soft one on the side, having more shells at the ready while you can’t with a hard side saddle.
