@@harryocallaghan8082 Shaw was an amazing lock, great hands, super in the tight - 6ft 8” 122kg. He had a lot to offer, played several lions tours. Not a leader like Johnson or O’Connell, but an amazing player with a really long career for club and country!
He'll probably look to sign a longer more lucrative one next year when there is more money in the game. No point in signing a long term one now while purse strings are tight.
Anyone else feel Joe Molloy has become overly familiar with guests and frankly has forgotten his place? Someone ought to show him a tape of Bill OH. Bill was a master at his craft. He achieved a great balance between asking good questions, allowing a touch of banter, and yet keeping the appropriate level of professionalism and respect. But above all else, he never, even after 20 years, pretended he knew FA about football in the context of having a conversation with the John Giles, or tried to act as if he was an insider in the game. He was the conduit of all us outsiders looking in, but he was one of us, not them. Joe interviews sportsmen in the same way as recently retired has beens interview their mates when they get the pitchside media gig. Going for the lockeroom buddy joke, dismissing what the expert says with a mmmmmm, not addressing the experts point but rather offering his own dilatant theory.... Inserting himself into the story, a touch of the Kimmages about it all... Alot of good qualities in joe but a dose of humility is needed before he turns into dave mcintyre.
I agree @alanc, he's too familiar. Very smart, use of language, clarity of ideas, he has all of that. But, while it's not easy to make the guys comfortable and still show respect, but I think he's gone too loose of late.
This is the annoying thing. The squad of centres has no balance and you end up having to pick a hit em up 12 at 13. He's left Davies, Ringrose and Slade at home so there's zero creativity in midfield
Great interview.
Could listen to the two lads all day.
Fantastic Rugby chat, amazing insights (from all of them), a really polished interview.... legends all over the place!!!
O Connell is a top man, you can see how he takes an interest in what other people are saying
Tadhg completely drifting of while the boys are talking.... Wonder what he was daydreaming about 🤔
The 🦁's 😄
The schpuds
Paul O’Connell, what a hero. Up there with Martin Johnson and Simon Shaw, absolutely devastating in the tight.
They’re up there with him, and he gave them a boost!
O’Connell is clear of Shaw
Shaw!? 😂 O’Connell & Johnson are legends. Shaw is not...

@@drchrisdavies2941 he wasn’t a legend though
Did Paulie just say Donncha O'Callaghan was a fatty 😂😂😂
Jukebox is just like his father
Need to get a meme of Paulie as Obi Wan, Tadhg as Luke

Nervous? Tadhg must of been one of the most assumed selections of the entire squad!
He is 28 should got 5 year contract at least
He didnt want a bigger contract...he chose how long his contract is

Would listen to the two lads all day great players ! But some of Molly thinking he is a Star ..
Joe Molloy thinks he's a star?? I don't think so. Very professional, asks great questions.

Farrell at 12 or Daly at 13? There's lots of creativity.
