- Loin King 2 is an amazing Disney sequel!! Loin King 2 is such a lovely movie! I absolutely love Kiara and Kovu's relationship. I was so happy to see what Simba was like all grown up! I just enjoyed everything about this movie, from the music to the villain, I even started liking scar more from this movie! The ending was so wholesome and it was a beautiful twist! I hope you guys enjoyed my reaction to Loin King 2 and I will see you all next time! Thanks for watching guys and I will see you all in the next one! May Jesus bless you all! Take care!

I really loved this Sequel, Kovu and Kiara is one of my favorite characters in this movie, they are the power couple
Right! Them as a couple was just a 10/10 I hope to see more of them
And way better and cuter than "Simba and Nala"

When Zira scolds Kovu for “killing his own brother”, there’s some irony there as that is exactly what Scar did.

There's a deleted scene from Nuka's death that makes it even more heartbreaking. In it, he has one more line and says something close to, "At least I finally got your attention." Then he dies. It just makes the scene so much darker and more tragic, and is another nail in Zira's bad parenting coffin. Poor Nuka 😢😢

Fun fact Zira let go of the rock willingly when Kira tried to help her.
They cut the bit of animation that confirms it but you can still see her smiling as she falls.

They probably cut it because they didn’t want to show an intentional suicide. If she died of her own stupidity but didn’t do it on purpose then it’s technically wouldn’t be suicide.

Fun fact: apart from Zira’s cut line of ‘never’ after Kiara tries to save her, they also cut Nuka’s last line of ‘I got your attention now Mother, didn’t I.’ Which gives his last words a lot more sense.
😖 that’s such a sad line for Nuka I wish they kept that line
Out of all the songs in the movie, my top 4 favorites are "We Are One", My Lullaby", "Upendi" and "Not One Of Us".
I love how this movie was loosely based on Romeo & Juliet, while the first one was Macbeth.

It matches up with the original story. Two families who hate each other are united by their star-crossed lover children....although in this version, Kovu's mother was the one who dies.

There's some things I can't help but notice. It's a curse of having autism. The original Lion King is like Hamlet, since it involves an envious younger brother who murders his own brother and exiles his nephew to become the king. Side note: the song that opens this movie "He Lives In You" is taken right from the Broadway show of The Lion King. In the scene where Rafiki talks to Simba in the oasis.

This sequel is one of Disney's best!! This alongside Bambi 2 manage to stay faithful to the original films beautifully

I was so mad that Simba’s mother wasn’t apart of this movie, then I heard that her voice actress Madge Sinclair died just after the release of The Lion King 1.
Well, it's common this kind of things. Unnecessary for most people, but it's a way show some respect for deceased actors and actresses.
23:39 I understand why Simba couldn't trust Kovu. He had severe trauma about his father's death. He is scared about Kovu doing like Scar with tricks. Had to protect Kiara because he doesn't want her to go through like what he went through.
Yeah, Simba's dream sequence may have been a bit too on-the-nose, but (unlike Mufasa) he did survive multiple attempts on his life....
"Them? Us? Look at them. They are us. What differences do you see?” this is why liked this movie. This is what helps me in life. I don't see color.. it matters who you are and what's in your heart.
When you said that Kovu “looks like the villain” in that scene where he got exiled, it was actually Simba who was being antagonistic. Think of this tale as Romeo & Juliet. Both sides of the conflict are villainous. Only Romeo(Kiara) & Juliet(Kovu) are the straight up “good guys.”
The irony of Simba’s reign as king is that he tries so hard to be exactly like Mufasa, yet he instead ends up being more like Scar. He’s so concerned about the idea of Kovu following in Scar’s footsteps, yet Simba is the one who’s closer to the mark. It’s so ironic.
If you have the time, I recommend watching The Lion Guard series. It focuses on Simba’s second-born child, Kion, who has the powers of “The Roar” which is the Lion King’s version of The Force. But don’t let it being a Disney Junior show fool you.
The show at some points have some of the darkest moments in the Lion King franchise. One of the later episodes even has a warning at the being advising parents that younger kids should not watch it alone.
Finally, a person who speaks about The Lion Guard in a positive way, I know perfectly well that the series is not the masterpiece that the original film is, but personally I consider it a series with many incredible ideas, it is true that it also failed to take advantage of all its potential, but it really is a series that knew how to expand the lore of The Lion King franchise.❤️
There's some fact that you may not notice.
In swahili, Zira means 'hate'. Shown her hateful towards circle of life.
Vitani's first name referred to be 'Shetani'. But, they change it to vitani due meaning of devil.

So with Kovu. They had to make sure they made a point of telling us that Kovu is not Scar's son. However much they wanted him to be his son. Becausd it'd be weird for Kiara and Kovu to be a couple if Kovu was Scar's son. Becausd that'd make Kovu and Kiara cousins. So they were careful with the relation they made between Scar and Kovu.

My headcanon is that Nuka may be Scar's actual son (in which case he obviously inherited Scar's "shallow end of the gene pool") -- he's clearly from an older litter than Kovu and Vitani who (being the same age as Kiara) were born well after Scar's reign ended.
I wish someone revealed to Zira and the outsiders that the hyenas killed Scar during the ambush, so Nuka doesn't die :(

Hi there, Tiana there are some things you should know about a midquel known as The Lion King 1 1/2 that tells the story from Timon and Pumbaa’s perspective during the events of the first lion king film, and there’s also a tv series on Disney Junior known as The Lion Guard that focuses on Simba’s younger son named Kion that happened after when Kiara met Kovu. Just so that I’m letting you know on that.

Lion guard is a fantastic show with animation rivalling the first film. However they made Simba way too pompous and snobby- just wasn’t him!

If I had a nickel for every time Kiara was featured in Lion King content, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice, right?
This is by far my fav Disney sequel... and one of the best (not that the bar was set high in the first place)

kiaras right the only differences with the outlanders (aside from the leader being batshit crazy) is they have dirty fur & skinny bellies from being exiled nothing a bath & a couple good meals can't fix

Zira wasn’t gonna let Simba kill her son it’s good she offered kovu bc she knew simba wouldn’t kill a child and Simba would let them leave unharmed

This sequel provides a good example between a villain simply _dying_ during the final act vs. being _defeated:_ Zira may have died by flash flood, but she was defeated when Kovu stood up against her, then Vitani, then the rest of her allies decided they would no longer fight for Zira's cause anymore.

Fun fact Scar wasn’t originally going to be biologically related to Mufasa or Simba but they changed that unfortunately also in this movie I feel like their should have been 3 Pridelander cubs Kiara Mansa and Annette and for the Outlanders a cub friend for Kovu
Then I guess we can stop complaining about Disney's CG prequel establishing Mufasa as originating from a different pride than Taka (Scar).

However, I have a problem with Pride Rock being likened to a hood. I feel that it’s inaccurate and it’s an insult. Pride Rock is metaphorically the White House, Windsor Castle, Palatine Hill, etc. It is an empire & governmental residence, not a criminal area or thug territory, which is the definition of the term “hood” in this context. The place in The Lion King universe that should be compared to a hood is the Elephant Graveyard and/or the cavern where the Outsider lions live.
