There is a deleted scene that shows that Zira willingly falls into her death and denies Kiara's help by answering "Never." They left it out, because they thought it would be too dark for kids, but there's a tiny piece of it left, which is why it seems like Zira is smiling before her fall. Fun fact kiara actually has a lil brother, his name is Kion he’s the leader of a lion guard who basically protects and helps the animals of pride land, but by the time all of this happens he’s not around he’s on a journey to the tree of life pretty far from the pride land because his eye is injured by a snake and the tree of life is the only option that can heal him. He’s back to pride land when he heard that it was attacked by Zira and her colony but he was too late, by the time he’s back Zira had already died and kovu is finally joined the pride. He then gives his title as the leader of the lion guard to vitani and becomes a king of the tree of life alongside queen rani, his girlfriend (well now wife). Yeah, Kovu was supposed to Scar's son, when writers realised "oh wait, then our romance would be cousins dating" so they quickly added "he's not Scar's son, don't worry!" explanation 😂

In that, Kiara had two other lioness cubs as her friends AND a brother as well. Surprisingly though the series as a whole was quite solid. Add Bambi 2 and 101 dalmations 2 up there, its quality is amazing similar to TLK2 for the former while the latter is quite dynamic and fun for what it is! I also remember having a soft spot for Lady and the Tramp 2...tbh nearly all the animated sequels are better than nearly every live action movie nowadays. Id take sequels over most remakes
The "Do you think Scar is up there?" line hits so hard, because the first instinct is to say no, because we saw what he'd done, so naturally why would he be among the other kings? But then the movie keeps going, and we're reminded that the Outlanders are still the same lions they were before they were banished, and whether anyone is ready to acknowledge it or not, Scar meant something to them. All of which is to say yes, I do think Scar is up there. A King who was assassinated by his own subjects is still a king. I don’t count the Lion Guard. Don't @ me.
Well, the subjects who assassinated Scar were the hyenas, the very ones who he used to seize the crown and the throne right up until he sold them out when he was cornered by Simba so agree to disagree.
The events in the lion guars is as real in the lion king universe as the events in the movies. P.S Kion is my favorite lion king charecter after Timon and Pumba.
I discovered the concept of danger when a wasp stung me. Every child finds danger one way or another. Falling to the floor, crushing their heads against a street lamp because they weren't paying attention... no matter how much parents care, they can't protect their kids every second. Even if they try, something will happen.
The Lion King II is one of my fav sequels and We are One my fav song of the movie. It seems interesting to me that as a child I saw both Kiara, Kovu and Simba as the protagonists, the story focused on the three of them.
this is my favorite sequel of any movie :') when i was a kid i used to watch this at my grandma's old house all the time! sometimes i pass the house when i'm driving home and it reminds me of those good memories with her 🖤🖤
The Outsiders were lions banished for being loyal to Scar, but we never seen any lionesses get banished in the first movie. Tge onmy things we know of lionesses in the first movie was that they were a part of Mufasa's & Simba's pride in the Pride Lands who were forced to overhunt under Scar's rule to feed the hyenas. The hyenas were the only animals who supported Scar at the time. After Scar was killed by his own hyenas, the lionesses except Simba as their new king.
IM SO FRIGGIN LAAAATE😭😭 I always get hopeful that people will watch LKe2 when i see them react to the first one, but most times, they never do so safe to say I'm beyond happy rn😆 Personally i love this one as much as the first 😌
Yeah, this is one of three Disney sequels that people generally like, let alone love. The others being Cinderella 3 and Alladin 3 (at least I think it was 3).
Depends if you mean Return of Jafar or King of Thieves. There's been some debate on which is better. It mostly seems to depend on whether you can tolerate listening to Iago for a whole movie.
As a bit of a disappointment of an older brother, I've always related a bit too much to Nuka for my own liking and find it extremely heart-breaking when he dies because he just wanted to do what all of us disappointments want; to make our parents happy with us. That's just one example of the thing the second movie does better than the first; the characters are more fleshed out. The story isn't as solid, the scope isn't as epic, the animation isn't as pretty, but the characters are perhaps more relatable because the story is about reconciliation and forgiveness rather than responsibility, and I think a lot of the music is equally as good as the first one.
So I’m not sure about all the details but there’s a popular theory that Simba and Nala actually had a son named Kopa at the end of the first movie, but Zira killed him and that’s why she and the Outlanders were banished. And with no heir, Simba and Nala had another cub, Kiara.
I concur, Sophie. This movie doesn’t have the grandeur and the essence of the first film but that’s alright. Heck, even the animation is nowhere near the same as the original. Nevertheless, it’s a pretty solid film of how this story continues. The Outsiders were those who were loyal to Scar during his reign and Zira was, of course, his queen. People tend to believe that Simba is being too hard on Kovu but let’s put ourselves in his position. After his father was killed, he nearly lived his entire life believing that he was the cause by the one person who he thought was the only family he had left until the truth was revealed to him in the most despicable way possible. The Pride Lands was a literal mess when he returned and for that, it took him so much time to restore its former glory. Now that he himself is a father, all he wants is to give his only daughter the life that he nearly lost as a child. With Zira and the others out there, they’re nothing but reminders of a king who abused his power that costed the lives of many without having a ounce of remorse for his actions and with Kovu being the spitting image of his late uncle, it was really pushing the limit. So much so that in the song “Not One of Us”, there were lyrics that said, “Someone once lied to us. Now, we’re not so blind.” If that wasn’t bad enough, before he left, Kovu saw himself as Scar in his reflection in the water where he was standing. Later on, we get to see that he, more or less, broke the trope of antagonists having scars as their mark of their wicked ways when in reality, our scars make us who we are. It shows that we’ve struggled and survived. Therefore, serving as lessons of our experiences. Glad to see that you enjoyed this one, as well P.S. That’s not snow. Those were ashes of the fire that Nuka and Vitani started to enact their plan against her father earlier.
The part with Simba's nightmare is both tearjerking and nightmare fuel due to it recreating the Stampede from the first Lion King that caused Mufasa''s death.
I still can’t believe Simba’s daughter is Sidney Prescott from the Scream movies. All on all as a sequel it wasn’t too bad the Disney direct videos were hit or miss mostly miss but this wasn’t so bad as it plays into themes from the last movie. Sure Simba may have been a jerk but for good reason he trusted Scar and his father was killed and he spent his life believing it was his fault he wants to keep Kiara safe from his uncle’s heir. Story was pretty much Romeo and Juliet much like the last movie was Hamlet unlike the actual story this ended happily.
Great, the sequel, one of my childhood favorites. Thanks, Sophie, and a happy sunday to you as well. Take care and God bless you. And greetings from Colombia
I am SO glad you actually noticed Nuka's character motive so quick. It's so great to see a reactor who understands Nuka just wanted Zira's love, most people brush him off as annoying so easily.
This movie is good especially the song and animation but i have one issue; Why Vitani, Kovu's sister, would instantly abandon her mother and accept peace? She was never interrested in that before and always helped Zira. Why suddenly she would think '' Enough war, i'm switching side! '' ? That doesn't make sense 🤨
It's thought in fan fiction that Simba and Nala's original son Kopa was killed by Zira in revenge for Scar's death, and that's why she and everyone who supported her were banished. And Zira is one of my favourite villains for one reason: her completely opposing ambition compared to Scar. Scar wanted the throne, and only saw killing Mufasa and Simba as a means to an end. Zira wants to kill Simba and simply sees the throne as a nice bonus prize.
Following the recent unfortunate events, James Earl Jones, who voiced Mufasa both in the original and in this sequel, although only briefly, has sadly passed away. Jason Marsden, a known voice actor for Disney & other media, voices the striking Kovu. Neve Campbell, voices the adult Kiara. Just 2 years after her breakthrough role as the iconic Sidney Prescott in the original Scream in 1996, directed by Wes Craven.
The Soundtrack is good and He Lives In You, is to me the better song then CIRCLE OF LIFE, Zira is way scarier then Scar, and man i feel bad for her kids
I will not deny that lion king is technically a better film than its sequel however lion king 2 will always be my favourite out of the two as it was the one I watched the most when I was younger.
Man, this film is a good sequel and to be honest the LK is a great movie, the sequel is a good successor, and man the Shakespeare theme is good too, but man Zira`s end was darker in the deleted scenes where she willingly let go and die rather than being saved by her enemy!
I’m glad you enjoyed one of Disney’s best sequels. In the Broadway musical, Mufasa sings “They Live In You” when teaching Simba about the Kings of the Past. When Adult Simba meets Rafiki years later and is visited by the spirit of Mufasa, they sing “He Lives In You” showing the lesson Simba is taught comes to a complete circle. If you did want do The Lion Guard but not all of it, I recommend the 3 specials (Return of the Roar, The Rise of Scar, and Battle for the Pride Lands) and S3 E10-19. 🦁👑✌️💛🧡❤️
My two favorite lines from this film: 1 - When Rafiki shouts "I hope you know what you are doing!" to Mufasa's spirit. 2 - Kiara's "You will never BE Mufasa!" to Simba. That second one is the type of line that cuts deeper than the speaker actually intended. It's also applicable to the Kingdom Hearts series, specifically _Kingdom Hearts 2_ when you visit the Pridelands for a second time -- Simba may have reclaimed his kingdom but he's haunted by both the legacy of his father and the (in this case literal) ghost of Scar. Your party is able to snap him out of it eventually ... basically, he stops asking worrying about "what would Mufasa do?" and starts deciding "what will Simba do?"
Well... In the first movie, Disney did all they can to prevent us for realizing that Simba and Nala are brother and sister (have you seen any other alpha male than Mufasa ? Cause Scar wasn't obviously allowed in his private harem). It's obviously not for admitting in the second one that this is a romance between cousins, so of course they won't state in black and white that Kovu is Scar's son, but they aren't fooling anyone. All the youthlings in the banished tribe are Scar's children. But it's right that Scar might have chosen Kovu over his brother and that's an interesting fact. We don't know, but assuming Scar was the elder, that meant he lost the throne to his younger brother (which may have alimented his hatred), and choosing Kovu is like for him to somehow recognize that Mufasa actually was a better king than him. If Scar was the younger bro, then choosing Kovu is the obvious choice (he did for Kovu what his parents didn't do for him), but then, we have one reason less for Scar to hate Mufasa to begin with.
@@Ahmed-qi7my Well, actually, what's surprising is that Scar was still allowed around them... If I remember well documentaries on lions I could have seen, unlike wolves, were you can have beta or omega males in a pack, a lion alpha male either kills or chase away any potential threat to its dominance, and is the only male allowed in its harem (aside from cubs). And even lions brothers generally splits apart to each found their own females.
The best sequel! I also hope that you will listen to Zira's song in Russian (And it seems to be in German) Maybe it's because of childhood memories, I usually prefer the original, but this song in Russian is very good for me.
Out of all the songs in the movie, my top 4 favorites are "We Are One", My Lullaby", "Upendi" and "Not One Of Us" Also, the first and second Lion King take loose inspiration from William Shakespeare's storytelling. The Lion King-Hamlet The Lion King II: Simba's Pride-Romeo & Juliet
Hi, first of all, thank you for the video. Your love your "tiger" at home :-) You asked an interesting question... how can you recognize danger as a kid... see, to kids you have to say: "Don't touch, it hurts!" and not "don't touch, you could die" or "it is dangerous", 'cause they don't understand death and danger yet. You have to use emotions they know. It is not only children, you know... teenagers and young adults still make mistakes, also the same mistakes over and over. Only at the age of 20-25 the brain is ready, built up, to recognize danger/fear. Yes, there are children and teenager with fear, but they can not really understand the consequences, even if they learn it.
I think you should check out The Lion King 1½ (aka The Lion King 3), it's like the first movie all over again, but from Timon and Pumbaa's perspective.
This one is one of the most forgotten classic of Disney, but it still holds up pretty well to the first one. But for truly forgotten, there is actually a third one in that trilogy: "The Lion King 1½" (yeah, creative title there). It's centered more on Pumba and Timon and is unlike any movie I have ever seen. I hope you'll give it a try. Also, closing in on 50k subs, you'll probably get there by the end of the year!

20:22 Awww… your cat is so cute!!!
This and Cinderella Twist in Time are the only dvd sequels we care about. They did not hold back and complete stories.
1 1/2 is pretty good
I haven’t seen them in years but I remember really liking Lion King 1 1/2, Cinderella 3, both the Aladdin sequels, Tarzan 2 and Lady and the Tramp 2.
Don't @ me.
Well as someone who has seen the Lion Guard
No he's not up there
He's a Firey face down here being a Mastermind in a children's cartoon
Well, the subjects who assassinated Scar were the hyenas, the very ones who he used to seize the crown and the throne right up until he sold them out when he was cornered by Simba so agree to disagree.
I never thought of it like that. The great kings of the past are up there and he was great to the outlanders.
Ouch, I’ve been stung before too by a wasp on the side of my knee, now I’m scared of them.
The Lion King II is one of my fav sequels and We are One my fav song of the movie. It seems interesting to me that as a child I saw both Kiara, Kovu and Simba as the protagonists, the story focused on the three of them.
My favorite song is love will find a way.
this is my favorite sequel of any movie :') when i was a kid i used to watch this at my grandma's old house all the time! sometimes i pass the house when i'm driving home and it reminds me of those good memories with her 🖤🖤
The Outsiders were lions banished for being loyal to Scar, but we never seen any lionesses get banished in the first movie.
In the lion guard in the episode "Lions of the outlands", Rafiki show the lion guard with some paintings when Simba banish zira and her pride.
I am serious lion king 2 is one of the best ever disney sequels
One of the only good ones
IM SO FRIGGIN LAAAATE😭😭
I always get hopeful that people will watch LKe2 when i see them react to the first one, but most times, they never do so safe to say I'm beyond happy rn😆
Personally i love this one as much as the first 😌
Yeah, this is one of three Disney sequels that people generally like, let alone love. The others being Cinderella 3 and Alladin 3 (at least I think it was 3).
Aladdin 3 is worth it for Aladdin daddy :'D
Depends if you mean Return of Jafar or King of Thieves. There's been some debate on which is better. It mostly seems to depend on whether you can tolerate listening to Iago for a whole movie.
Kovu isn't Zira adopted son but her actual kid lol
After that new Mufasa trailer (which is prequel obviously)
It now make more sense why Zira is so "THESE lands belong to SCAR!" like
Don’t try to connect them. In the animated movies Mufasa and scar are biological brothers
@@GeorgeKittiras The truth is that for biological siblings they don't look alike at all, so I don't think it's so crazy that they aren't.
@@Dragonbolt124 Scar literally looks like Asiatic lion while Mufasa is like Barbary lion
I like how in The Lion Guard it shows why the characters of the show arent present in this movie and still makes everything canon.
Kovu is adorable I 🥰 love him
So I’m not sure about all the details but there’s a popular theory that Simba and Nala actually had a son named Kopa at the end of the first movie, but Zira killed him and that’s why she and the Outlanders were banished.
Glad to see that you enjoyed this one, as well
P.S. That’s not snow. Those were ashes of the fire that Nuka and Vitani started to enact their plan against her father earlier.
The soundtrack to this film is so underrated!
Agreed! There are some real bangers in this movie.
Another revelation: Kovu was an adopted son in Scar's family- Nuka said Scar took him in- hence Kovu is not related to Kiara
The part with Simba's nightmare is both tearjerking and nightmare fuel due to it recreating the Stampede from the first Lion King that caused Mufasa''s death.
The Lion King > Hamlet modified
The Lion King 2 > Romeo and Juliet modified
If your going down this rabbit hole I hope you will watch lion king 1 1/2 it's mostly about timon and pumba but still just as good.
I love this movie and most underrated soundtracks of this movie
the baboon can live up to like 45 years adult males 8-10 years so the baboon will live for 4-5 lion generations
Just started the video.
This is one of those few sequels that are actually good. And "ALMOST" as good as the first.
Great, the sequel, one of my childhood favorites. Thanks, Sophie, and a happy sunday to you as well. Take care and God bless you. And greetings from Colombia
Not to mention that Nick Glennie-Smith composed the musical score for The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride (1998).
You should react to The Lion King 1 1/2! It’s really entertaining
I am SO glad you actually noticed Nuka's character motive so quick. It's so great to see a reactor who understands Nuka just wanted Zira's love, most people brush him off as annoying so easily.
Honestly this is one of Disney's best sequels and no one can convince me otherwise. This was a great video!
Btw the good lions have their claws in while the evil lions have their claws retracted out the whole time until they joined Simba's pride.
Following the recent unfortunate events, James Earl Jones, who voiced Mufasa
both in the original and in this sequel, although only briefly, has sadly passed away.
Jason Marsden, a known voice actor for Disney & other media, voices the striking Kovu.
Neve Campbell, voices the adult Kiara. Just 2 years after her breakthrough role
as the iconic Sidney Prescott in the original Scream in 1996, directed by Wes Craven.
9:27 i just realised.. Simba with that roct in the back.. it creates a shape that looks like a controversal gesture ..
Wait till you see what 1 1/2 delivers you!
YIPPEE ypu liked zira's song as i thought, it's really a banger and it deserved much more attention
The Soundtrack is good and He Lives In You, is to me the better song then CIRCLE OF LIFE, Zira is way scarier then Scar, and man i feel bad for her kids
Please do Lion King 3 next, it's a prequel about Timon and Pumba, highly recommended it!
I will not deny that lion king is technically a better film than its sequel however lion king 2 will always be my favourite out of the two as it was the one I watched the most when I was younger.
You also have to watch the 3d movie! It's about Timon and Pumba!
This is such a fanfic.
My favorite Disney movie!!
It was actually Shenzi's hyena clan that killed Scar. Simba just knocked him off the cliff.
Man, this film is a good sequel and to be honest the LK is a great movie, the sequel is a good successor, and man the Shakespeare theme is good too, but man Zira`s end was darker in the deleted scenes where she willingly let go and die rather than being saved by her enemy!
Its crazy because i was just watching that yesterday
People say Zira was a scarier than Scar
I’m glad you enjoyed one of Disney’s best sequels. In the Broadway musical, Mufasa sings “They Live In You” when teaching Simba about the Kings of the Past. When Adult Simba meets Rafiki years later and is visited by the spirit of Mufasa, they sing “He Lives In You” showing the lesson Simba is taught comes to a complete circle. If you did want do The Lion Guard but not all of it, I recommend the 3 specials (Return of the Roar, The Rise of Scar, and Battle for the Pride Lands) and S3 E10-19. 🦁👑✌️💛🧡❤️
Pease tell me how I didn’t know that this even existed maybe I’m just the definition of living under a rock my whole life…
Plot Twist: the Outsider lionesses are actually the hyenas who got magically reincarnated
My two favorite lines from this film:
1 - When Rafiki shouts "I hope you know what you are doing!" to Mufasa's spirit.
Also, react to Lion King 1 1/2 next! 🧡
The crocodile scene in this movie is also in Mufasa: The Lion King, except that this time it's Taka who saves Mufasa instead of Kovu asaving Kiara.
Would definitely recommend the jungle book 1967
What happened to other male lions ? , It's like Mufasa and Scar were the only and first lions in their wild
I also hope that you will listen to Zira's song in Russian (And it seems to be in German)
Maybe it's because of childhood memories, I usually prefer the original, but this song in Russian is very good for me.
we need to get this girl to react to George of the Jungle
Out of all the songs in the movie, my top 4 favorites are "We Are One", My Lullaby", "Upendi" and "Not One Of Us"
Also, the first and second Lion King take loose inspiration from William Shakespeare's storytelling.
The Lion King-Hamlet
The Lion King II: Simba's Pride-Romeo & Juliet
Awesome reaction of my favorite Disney movie!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you❤
I think you should check out The Lion King 1½ (aka The Lion King 3), it's like the first movie all over again, but from Timon and Pumbaa's perspective.
please do lion king 1/2 so many people hate it but i find it hilarious! underated!
Yeahhh you make my day is my second favorite movie ❤❤❤❤
I think I’ve seen a little bit of Lion King 2 but I haven’t seen the whole thing so I’ve been looking forward to this reaction! 🦁 🧡
Haven't seen this since I was little. Maybe 20 years😳
This and inside out 2 best Disney sequels of all of the time
Some of the songs in this one are from the Broadway musical, like He Lives in You
I had this movie on VHS 📼
Best Disney romance sequel of all time. Love this movie.
You should see The Lion King 1 and 1/2
There is a spin off series called "The Lion Guard", and I would highly recommend it.🦁
Gotta react to The Rescuers Down Under. Hardly ever see any reactions to it.😊
Great reaction once again, you should see the third too ❤️
AMO ESTA PELÍCULA ❤❤❤ 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
