You are my new Fallout building hero! I've been battling with those abominable wall pass-through pieces ever since I got the advanced power plans and this is a COMPLETE game changer! Thank you!
This is awesome! I've watched so many wiring guides on here and no one explained conduits, their range, and how to hide them in a general sense with quick easy BASIC methods
Thank you I tried using conduits in my base with no guides and I completely over complicated everything I was completely amazed when you said that putting a conduit on the wall will basically power the entire building I tried putting conduits all around my base just to power one thing
Great video. I found this a lot more helpful than some other videos I have seen and you are one of only a few I have seen use the terminal. The building mechanics in this game really need improving though as a lot of ideas I have for my camp can't be done. I would love to see more videos like this explaining the different connections such as the counter and traps with how they work.
In the end any building game is a learning curve. I genuinely like the challenge of building in 76. The mechanics are definitely a Bethesda thing. I kinda think of building in 76 like one of those slide box picture puzzles. Once you figure out the order of placement you can place most anything where you want it. Some recent changes reduced being able to do some things as easy but most things are place able. My biggest annoyance is seeing something green and it not place. Camp Shelters will free up a lot of annoyances in the near future. If you have any build questions feel free to ask. Even catch a 76 stream on Monday or Tuesday and I can answer them in real time as well as show how to do something.
@@rotomon Awesome. I don't have a twitch account so I'm not sure if I'll be able to aask questions there but hopefully I'll still be able to view the stream. I've just never been a fan of watching others play live unless it's something like this but maybe I'll get one set up in the near future. I understand what you mean though with the builds as there is more sense of accomplishment when you have completed a build that should exist.
@@DeanD1990 I am dual streaming to youtube as well as twitch, Do note I have yet to sort out the delay so If you ask a question Its going to take a bit to respond. Same time same days. I get you. For a lot of people watching streams do not make sense. Because it does initially feel like you are just watching someone play a game. Depending on who you are watching (bigger creators) interaction is almost zero but once you get used to one who will read and react its a different experience.
My god this video has helped me out so much lol I could not figure out how to power some signs and my jukebox I have been messing around with conduits and they blow
Conduits I mostly use for decoration or if I want to have some things on switches. But yeah I agree. I use hidden power more than anything. I have a newer video that has some more tricks you may make use of. Its similar title just updated.
Yep, Make the wall a door or window, connect the wire, convert the wall back to a solid wall. Could also use conduit as well. I have a newer video on electrical as well. should be newest one in the tips and tricks playlist.
It produces 100 power same as large generator so as long as you're not running more than that sure. If you are just running lights all you need is to provide spot power. I have a newer video explaining that more.
This is good! I'm wondering, how u do this with prefab? I got bungalow from bos quest steel reign and I wanna put fusion core recharger and vending machine inside
You can do this in one of a few ways. Place a generator inside and connect directly. Get the city fusion generator skin (doesnt require attaching to anything just radiates power within range), Or wire through a window or door way inside.
Why do you have two connectors for the vendor? Why not just one? If you have one connector on one end for the generator and than in the other end for the wiring of the vendor. You have two connectors connecting into each other which is what I don’t understand Can you explain?
Depends on how im building. I personally do not like to have wires run across where im walking. for this it was more of a explination with different positioning as everyone builds different. I believe I mentioned that you could just connect it direct in voiceover but explained how to get direct power inside vs just proximity power.
You just need to place a wall / floor / ceiling connector down and wire to it within 2 x 2 x 2 space of your house. . I have a 2nd video explaining proximity power better and a better way to spot power lights.
I have a newer electric video that explains it a bit better, but yes this will work. For a larger structure my spot power section of the newest video may be the best option.
I think using the Power Connectors/Conduits takes up too much time, despite the clean look. Sometimes a tidy wiring job is actually aesthetically pleasing, for instance, using the Red Rocket Power Connectors, they look awesome & it’s much faster too setup
It's all about the build and personal preference. I build camps to show off and like to build a certain way. If you want it to be quick and work then so be it.
@@rotomon I think you are misinterpreting what I said. Just because I use a technique that is faster for wiring, it does not detract from the build quality at all. Look for yourself, I have a number of Fallout 76 C.A.M.P Builds on my account.

Conduits inside the walls!?!? That's outstanding! Does anyone know how much of the budget the conduits use? Or would it be more beneficial to use the flame trap and hang wires inside the walls from the roof? I was planning on moving anyway, HAHA.
There's a couple ways to do that. Convert a roof to a flat if you have greenhouse one or log cabin one connect then recovert the roof to original . or burn a roof to connect then repair. You can stick conduit connector down (connection node with the connector sticking into the roof) then connect conduit to that and run it in to connect to generator.
