This is a good video. Almost everything you have mentioned is accurate. But there are a few points I would like to add if you don't mind. I have been living in Norway for a while now.
@08:00 The admission decision is heavily influenced by your reference letters. Scandinavia is society running on letter of recommendations and references. It should be your boss or your university professors who really know you. It has to be genuine. They will see through fake ones easily. Everyone here is used to reading and writing recommendation letters since their school times. Motivation letter or SOP takes care of the rest. The grades are important but industry experience and your motivation is what matters the most. I would advice everyone to read about 'janteloven' . It is about a way of life ingrained into this society. It basically talks about modesty or 'എളിമ'. Boasting about yourself or saying you are good at something on your SOP or application is strict no. Someone else has to say that you are good at something. For example if Kimi Raikkonen applied for a taxi drivers job, even he wont say he is good at driving. HIs team boss at Ferrari has to say that. This is applicable to all of scandinavia.
@11:00 Accomodation is gauranteed on paper. But there is no guarantee when you will get it. One has to be prepared to live in a literal basement of the student housings. Usually people manage to find a place eventually on their on.
@18:00 As far as I am aware there is no stay back. The only reason a person gets an extension is because he or she did not graduate in 2 years and needs extra time. For that the univerisity has to inform the politi (Police department is incharge of visa renewals) that the student has valid reasons to stay back. Again for renewal one has to show roughly 123000 NOK in your bank when you renew it for another year. This is really bad idea. There have been instances of rejection and people have had to go back. On the other hand I have seen people delaying there master thesis for couple of years to stay longer and learn the language.
@19:20 Ooooh that is as understatement. Its not a matter of less daytime. Above the city of Bodø, the sun simply doesnt rise for many days in winter and doesn't set in the summer. The place I live used to live before moving south, in Tromsø, the sun never rose for 2 months of a year. And simiarly in "summer", it never sat between 21st june and 21st august. Basically 2 months of 24h darkness and 2 months of 24h sunlight.
I would highly recomment that anyone who is planning to come here first read a book by Michael Booth called 'The Almost Nearly Perfect People: Behind the Myth of the Scandinavian Utopia'. It talks a lot about way of life, culture, politics, economy and history of Scadinavian countries. Namely, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.
I have noticed that most Indians, pakistanis, bangladesis and srilankans tend to sufffer a lot becuase they had no idea what they were getting into. This society is nothing like the western world we grew up watching on TV and Movies. There are loads of cultural faux pas that we take for granted in India. For example there is absolute equality for men and women. Even showing a suprise when you see a female bus driver on a late night bus or a female bouncer at a club is offensive and that would be the end of your social life. This is such a small community that the word spreads quickly. We have a really bad steoreotype to escape for. Scandinavians, unlike americans are well informed and knows things happening around the world. Indians/pakistanis have a bad reputation thanks to our attitude towards women and emphasis of religion in life. Also, if you do come here, STAY AWAY from indians. Do not restrict yourself into a small comfortable bubble. It will be difficult in the beginning. But eventually you will get used to it and develop contacts and relationships. This is very important if you want to find a job here afterwards. Norwegians are the nicest people I have ever seen. I have had absolutely zero issues with racism. Have an open mind, intergrate and interact with everyone. Learn about the culture and its history before you get on the plane.
EDIT : As someone pointed out, one year job seeker visa is a possibility. It involves a bit of money though.

It is one of the most expensive country to live in. Heavy vat charges and job is mostly for engineering Pg students. To get part-time job u need to Norwegian language. Why go to Norway then? Think🔥 4 years later if you wish to settle there then it is going to cost you more. Please do more research and then share your videos. Otherwise students who take loan and go to Norway will suffer. If I have no medical training background, am I able to secure a job in Ireland as a healthcare assistant or care giver, if I take up a healthcare assistant diploma course or xray technician course from India?
