    a Leonard doppleganger ... duran would have decapitated him but he's a heck of a fighter in a real tough era ,probably one of the best actually

      funnily barry's style is a bit like durans, i think people overstated carters power. while he definately possessed some of it being swarmed over for a full fight is gonna take it away. carter landed a few huge combinations but he didnt have as much power as people were claiming

      @@fakejameh I think Carter black-balled himself from getting big name opponents because most of his wins were in spectacular fashion - his 20 wins were all by KO before he fought Barry.
      After Barry beat him, Carter had no problem getting the bigger name contenders in the ring, but Crawley, Ayers, Manley, & Brown all beat him, so maybe you're right, & his early record is somewhat padded with lesser lights..........they had no problem fighting Carter after Barry stepped up & showed that Carter could be beaten............
      Barry would have lost to Arguello, but I think he would have had a real good shot at beating Mancini, which was a fight Barry desperately wanted but couldn't get.
