    MYLAR the best 👍

For me the cap needs to match the pickups. Some picksups have more bass, mylar would be better. Other pickups have a higher output or treble sound, (gibson 496/500t) Pio would tone that down. Have to experiment with both pickups and caps to really achieve what sound you like the best you hear and feel from within.

Wait...Are you using the tone controls at all, or are they wide open? That's when the cap does it's job, when you roll off the tone.

I prefer Mylar.... most LP's used Mylar caps!

Did you measure the capacitance values pre test? Tolerance accounts for any audible variation.

Thank you for doing this great comparison! Definitely a difference. I also preferred the PIO. Which did you end up using?

I thought I'd like the PIO better but it's not even close, the PIO is muffling too much of the high end signal, I'd go with the Mylar, you can always turn back the knob a bit if you want less high end

im using mylar right now but prefer certain pio's for that "deep, untouchable" tone you get from distortion

I don't know how it sounds live but thru this video the PIO sounds warmer, please tell me your opinion because of your live sound when you recorded

Isn’t the to e pot a high frequency to ground bleed? If so, the cap only controls how many highs are cut…it’s a negative effect, it has no tone….

Sungwoo Hong

? Didn't hear anything that a slite adjustment of tone controls or picking attack couldn't change.

you can definitely hear how the Bumble Bee gives it more of that vintage tone everyone wants out of an LP...
