Just amazing watching how you work and problem solve. Clear demonstration of deep understanding of machines and kinematics but then belts-and-braces assemblies to get it done vs the expensive machinery that would be expected to do it "properly". Love seeing it. Thank you for sharing.

Yeah, you might hear the horizontal shaft crusher shaft going out, but you won’t hear that thing going out on a vertical shaft crusher they are so noisy. You can’t even hear your ears bleed.

As a heavy industrial millwright for almost 50 years, that bearing size looks alittel small for that size of machine, impact load.

Horizontal boring mill would be great for this project. I used to run an old Lucas 5" that would have made quick work of it.

How did you machine the journal on the 800 pound part? I haven’t seen a large enough engine lathe in your videos, did you use a milling machine or was there something else similar to a line boring machine?

They say be careful what you post. At 12:38 you are just giving OSHA free evidence to fine you. You are not supposed to use the top of the ladder to stand on. My work would write you up the first time and terminate for the second offence. They don't play!
