After watching this i realised live is not about the things done to the world by others, but about the things we make and do. Ive been depressed for the past 2 months now, lost my dog qnd a good friend, and from watching this build multiple times im making my own guitar and getting better in my head. Thanks soo much Ben for all the great things you make and say, you could say you and the comunity you created saved my live.
    Thanks!

When I watch something as beautiful as this being built, I like to think that in 100 years or so that there will be a restoration video on future TH-cam like there are restoration videos today.
The only difference being is that the future folk will get to watch the original craftsman building it too.
    Awesome work, Ben.
Also, if there is any future folk actually watching reading/watching.. your great grandmom! 😁

The guitar is absolutely stunning! It is so much fun watching you build and problem solve.
That said, the demo sounds quite out of tune. Either that, or the guitar does not intonate well, but I guess with that floating bridge design it would not be a problem to fix it.
Looking at it again, the bridge actually looks like you compensated it with a wound G string in mind, but in the demo it is strung with a plain G, so maybe that is the problem?

I’ve watched your videos for like 2 years now Ben. Never commented on any TH-cam vid de gore but I’ve left it more than long enough now to say what a pleasure it is to watch you work. A true artist and craftsman with a love for the vintage way of doing things. The surface, colour and finish of the nebula 2.0 is one of the most stunning things I’ve ever seen. I would call it a masterpiece. It’s been so good watching your channel, your business and yourself grow over the last couple of years and I just hope you do mentoring for some keen, appreciative apprentices because craftsmen like yourself, at least in my own personal experience are hard to come by. This guitar is a piece of art!
I would wear white cotton gloves and a white tuxedo to play it!
I would like to see Ben go nuts on an electric with opulent ornaments. With inlays of different materials, binding out of unusual materials, engraved everything (tuner, bridge, jackplate, even special screws…), using opals, minerals, silver and gold and even diamonds, the scratchplate with breakthroughs, little carvings here and there, hidden features (f. ex. a little „drawer“ with adjustment tools, Salvador Dali refference)…
Like a monumental instrument for display. Could fill a whole year with 30-40 episodes.
    (Maybe I‘m just crazy… 🤭)

The little router plane may not be the prettiest tool in existence, but it's definitely pretty enough... And there's something special about making your own tools for a specific job. I have a brass scraper/chisel I made specifically for removing excess epoxy from finished knife blades (I'm a knifemaker) with tiger maple handles and mosaic pins. It's a lot prettier than it needs to be to do the job, but it puts a smile on my face every time I use it...

But the sound wasn't up to the usual standard- very low level for some reason and much quieter than the ads. Otherwise, a great job of the editing!

    • @austin4x

With respect, this version of the Nebula 2 guitar appeals far more to me than the series with all the episodes. Granted you used aspects of an acoustic guitar build this time, but generally you use so many forms of the same techniques on all of your custom guitars - and I don’t need to have such things as the “masking tape & super glue trick” explained to me each time. If you put a play list link in the notes pointing to the various full videos then surely that’s perfect and I can zap across to look more closely if I need to. But fact remains, this is a wonderful instrument (except for the string pins for the ball ends because, surely they’re going to snag badly.

Sorry, but it's sound reminds me of one of the Esteban guitar infomercials. Beautiful work, the sound just needs more..... body, depth, bass.... yeah, something along those lines.
