Guys, there are so many very beautiful limestone houses in your reviews and almost none of the reviews focuses on this. But this is the only thing that makes these houses extraordinarily attractive to potential buyers. Pay more attention to the details out of stone, please. Many of them have marks of the hand tools of medieval masons. It is almost impossible to remain indifferent to such details.

In fact we love those stones, my own house is built the same way ( also in the Dordogne, old presbytery from the 17th century ) and Joanna’s house too… so we fully agree on that. ❤Cyril ( photographer)
a pleasant housee. So situated right at the height of Bordeaux. The buyer will be spoiled with classic French town life, a histrorical region, a recreational environment and at the same time a tranquil view, some vineyards. The pool can serve. I remember descending the highway at the height of Bordeaux it can get seriously warm in summer. The house on itself 'style maison maître) is spacious, not new, but decently redone. Viewing the water activity from your chair in the garder or from the balcony can be amusing. Even you can see bargues passing from your bed. There are kayaks for rent higher up. In a slow market the price is resonable (785.000 Euros) knowing that costs are at charge of the seller (!). Personally I would prefer a green yard enclosure ( laurier) with carré visites giving view to the stream and also more lawn. This would give me more privacy. Could serve as a summer residence for social beings with bigger wallets.
To be honest, a real crush, one of my favorite this year, location, architecture, interior design, outbuildings, features / charm & uniqueness... I love it, Cyril ( photographer )
I noticed beautiful arched doorway/window, very elegant stairs (I hate Victorian ugly stairs!), very light and airy, and altho some of the decor was not to my taste ir is a lovely family home.
We actually filmed this property back in early March, before it went on the market, and included the summer/spring views of the area to show the potential. We can assure you that it's even brighter and more beautiful now! This place is really elegant. 😊

Considering the location, view and access to the river, and the many unique features, living myself in this area I can tell you that no, it’s not overpriced. And I’m just the photographer, so not selling anything, but I’ve covered thousands of houses and did renovate 4 in the Dordogne, so I can tell you the price is probably close to the final offer. I think you must consider that there are just few houses for sale with such features in the whole Dordogne. Now anyone can contact our local agent, Toby, and suggest / make a serious offer. This house is a little less than a 3h drive away from Bordeaux, in the stunning village of La Roque-Gageac 😉
