As a first time watcher (binge much) I just spent a number of hours binge watching your series, I could not stop at just one episode as you have done such an excellent job of narration and made it all so interesting that I could not just stop. Your perseverance with the small type contracts is a great testament to your dedication on this subject. Because of what I see as a very unique look into this game I have liked and subscribed as I truly wish to see where you will go with it all. I have only recently started to play the game but on FS22...hey a noob is a noob :). Please keep this going I am learning so much and thoroughly enjoying you style of story telling. Thank you.
Thank you for the feedback and support! Glad you are enjoying the series. FS22 is a pretty good game too, I have spent many hours in that one (and FS19, and FS17 lol) good luck on your playthrough!
Hey Syrup, in regards to getting water for your green houses, I agree that the rice field trick is a bit cheaty, but there is a mod called "free water tank" that is essentially like installing a well pump on your land. You pay the upfront cost to have it installed, and then you can fill up your water tanker from it for free, esentially like the windmill water pump, but takes up much less space. I think this could be a realistic, non-cheaty way to avoid having to drive to the pond every time.
A true Rags to Riches series, mostly vanilla, that's why we like watching! Those of us who know how hard it is to get rich like this on FS25 get to enjoy watching you do it without giving in to exploit mods. Keep up the good work. I love the montages btw
This was a fun video. All the contract work has definitely paid off with how far you have gotten. Congrats on the new land! It always feels good to see your hard work equate to expansion.
Best play trough I seen.. very very good and intresting.. and I love it. Absolutely amazing series. Keep up you deserve way more subscribers. Waiting for next one cheers 💪
Syrup, this is first time I am watching someone else playing game in series and probably last one cuz you made it very interesting... If I am you, I would think what would be my "next project" to keep the "momentum". You are really good at this so keep it going. Wish you millions of subscribers. Oh, and you changed entire game for me, I look at it differently now and i am really thankful. All the best man
I have been waiting for this episode. It looks like we are almost to the point of not depending on contract work. Once the silage starts selling there will be more money to invest in some constant revenue sources or dive into bigger options. I do feel like cutting the grass now and getting every bit of money by selling lettuce is the better choice. People often forget the potential of cash flow when they try to get too much into ROI and maximum profits. There are so many suggestions but I am interested to see what decisions you make because there are simply so many options and choices in this game.
Yeah I do think the next harvest at least is going to be grass, and then ferment some silage over the winter. I do have some plans but always open to suggestions! Definitely one of the things I like about this game is the variety of different options and methods to play it!
Respect for your patience. I started a normal game from scratch and i refused to do any contracts, hate the grind. Have 70k a month income nowfrom my sawmill and canned spinach so no need to but I managed to get there without doing a single contract, economy the whole game on hard. Only those damned stones and traffic turned off. :) So I can confirm the small sawmill is king in the early stages, especially if you buy some land with a fair amount of trees on it.
Love watching your videos, recently it became my routine to watch these after work, keep it up, i also love the music you choose while timelapsing its just nice to relax :)
Amazing video again! The production quality is off the charts. Are you sure you don't have a full production/editing team hiding in your basement? You somehow manage to make even the mundane part look interesting, just the right amount of footage to show what you do to appreciate all the crazy amount of hard work and grinding going into this series, while at the same time keeping it interesting and entertaining... Can't wait for the next video, keep them coming!
You are too kind! I do everything myself, I just wish I was faster at editing so I could get videos out more frequently, but I am slowly getting more efficient as I get more practice in!
Easy way to get rid of bushes is get the forestry mod it allows you to remove stumps and bushes with the chainsaw. Just look at bush if it’s in the right sport saw moves ahead toward bush and hold button and bush disappears after a few seconds. Another benefit is it measures the trees when you are cutting them up so you can cut them to the correct length for you trailer. I personally think this should be base game and isn’t cheaty as anyone can cut up a bush with a saw and measure a log to cut it to length.
the pit is a good idea for you as you already have the vagon to pick up grass, kinda pointless to waste money on a baler and wrapper in this case, also you can use walters house if you want to sleep and dont want to just wait,
Hi me again. I'd use the'Make Fields With Cultivator' Mod. As making a new field with aplow can be a pain in the butt, because of the triangles left. There is another form of plow called a Subsoiler. Subsoilers tend to go deeper than the average plow. They're used to offset compaction IRL.These can be used to 'Make New Fields'. It's what I tend to use when playing FS.
Yeah I was thinking about getting that mod... I agree plows can be a pain, usually have to go over it in multiple directions to fill in the gaps, and even then I usually end up going over where I want in some places and then have to come back with the paint tool to clean up the edges. I didn't know the subsoilers could be used to make fields though, thanks for the tip!
Tip for building save right before building and then place the building. If you like it save again if you dont like it quit with out saving and repeat the step until its to your liking
I regret that i went with the challenger and not the John Deere you went with the Challenger has the power but not the utility of the John Deere how it has the front pto and back and front loader attachment. Great video man congrats on the expansion.
As far as the construction goes, as long as you don't exit the construction screen, you should get a full refund for anything you place then sell. However, as soon as you leave the construction menu, you loose up to 50% if you sell it.
There's no need to do the grass harvest when it's at its full growth. You will lose a harvest of grass, per year, to make up for it. You will have 2 harvests per year vs 3 harvests. In the end, you won't lose or gain anything. The two 50% bonuses make up for the lost 3rd harvest. However, you burn fuel and put more wear on equipment on the 3rd harvest. I guess it depends on how desperate you are for money. Be careful with that cultivator mod, it cultivates EVERYTHING, including the road.
I'm not sure what you mean by that... I can harvest my grass every two months already, I'm not sure reseeding would get it to harvest state any faster...
Hmmm, do you remember the name of the video? I can already get 3 harvests per year without reseeding. Maybe I'm missing something but from what I've seen so far there's no difference... Like in this video, I harvested one grass field and planted a new grass field in the same month, and they were both ready to harvest at the same time
Personally i dont think the create fields with cultivator mod makes sense. This is because you aren’t churning up the soil very deep, which is believe is pretty important. It also seems to go against the spirit of this challenge a bit too. But thats just my opinion
For those annoying shrubs there is a mod not sure if its cross platform or pc only but its called real mower it allows you to mow smaller shrubs or weed like vegetation
I am able to get rid of a lot of my scrub bushes with be chain saw. Used in vertical position like on stump. I am using the lumberjack mod so not sure if that makes a difference.
You mentioned something about waiting another month to get your grass to its full height. I had this in one of my videos on FS22 recently that I harvest grass 3x a year at full height in April, July, October and stay on that cycle each year. Not sure if that holds true in FS25 tho. Worth a look I think.
I dont think allowing cultivators to make fields would be that much fun. I think its a good challenge to have to buy a plow, and regardless. You dont need to merge the fields that badly. I've also heard from some IRL farmers on the subreddit its not that accurate to real life.
Yeah I've decided against using the cultivator... Like you said it's not that urgent that I merge the fields, I can wait until I can afford an actual plow
i found i was able to plant wheat in a rice Paddie well it dose make sense as wheat is in the same family as rice and if you don't flood the field it should still work i will know more when i play again
nice job man, you can download the real mower mod it removes bushes and i dont see that as cheating becayse if its a small bush a mower should handel it fine.
That was part of the reason I got the roller! With grass, you can just roll the field afterwards and it will give you a fertilizer state, without actually having to apply fertilizer
Haha for real?? I never even checked, I just assumed I couldn't sleep in somebody else's house lol. That will definitely come in handy though, thanks for the tip!
I really dont like that you are using the green houses. They give way to much money without that much effort. For the 100k$ you started with you could have bought a small piece of land a few greenhouses and a car alongside a forklift or something you could make almost as much as you made from contracts from the first month. And then you could just invest it all into more greenhouses. You would probably have quite a bit more than you have now. Or you could invest into generators that are even more op and require no work at all
Thanks for the feedback! I probably could have gone that route but I don't think it would be very entertaining. The greenhouses are pretty easy money for how much work they take but they still require a bit of effort. I mean I could just set up greenhouses and skip time every month but I'm not doing that because I do want to keep it challenging... At the same time though, I do need to strike a balance between being challenging and actually being able to make progress, while having some variety to keep it interesting... I don't think many people want to watch nothing but contact work for multiple episodes in a row while I save up enough money to actually do anything... Oh and one of the challenge rules is no generators! I don't want to use anything that's purely passive income

Thank you! I did end up installing that mod!
@ yeah I use it, it’s handy when you don’t have a sleep trigger at a home to use.
In regards to the bushes thats growing on your land. If you download the mod Real mower you can mow bushes too :)
I might just do that...
@@syrupgames I'm pretty sure i can remove the big bushes with my chainsaw. But it might be because i have the lumberjack mod installed, not sure.

Good advice!
Deadwood is less mass then live trees, like 20% or something. So I'd wait.to.get the sawmill until you have a wooded lot to clear.
I regret that i went with the challenger and not the John Deere you went with the Challenger has the power but not the utility of the John Deere how it has the front pto and back and front loader attachment. Great video man congrats on the expansion.
Ah yeah I would have liked the extra power of the challenger, but I figured the front pro and hitch would be very helpful just starting out
Best months to harvest the grass efficiently is April, July, then October. Grass will be fully grown
Ok, thanks for tip! I will try to get on the cycle in the next year!
Should start repaying that debt. Loan payments are killer
I agree! I just made my first loan payment in the new episode!

Subjection for u if ur going do weeding buy a sprayer reason say sprayer cause u can weed and fertilize with same piece of equipment
That's true, but you also have to pay for herbicide when you're using the spraying, but using the weeder is free!
@syrupgames yeah but size of these field herbicide will go longer and fertile will really go longer the the solid
@syrupgames there a nice sprayer that was in the shop I believe it is a real wide width and not real exspensive
