    Great playing . I imagine recording a lap steel would be similar ..Do you have any experience recording a lap steel?

      Yep, all the time. Very similar except I often like to use a room mic on lap steel (6-10 ft away from the cab), that can be in addition to or instead of the close mic. That’s for my sound, more along the David Lindley vibe 👍 try some different mic positions and see what works for you Jon.
