Good instruction, as uaual Scott. I would add that for fast picking then you wouldn't usually swell for every note. Said just in case newbees found the wordage confusing. Of course, by the time fast picking became possible newbees would not longer be.....!

Couldn’t agree more Melvyn, I can’t wait to record some more tutorials when I get back from touring.

HI Scott, just had another thought. You have mentioned that the Hilton pedal is the best, but wonder about comparing with the Telonics Multitaper? I haven't used either as yet, kinda stuck with my old ZB pedal, and needing to replace the pot for now. Regret it's a money thing....! The Telonics gets good reviews, as does the Hilton. One day I will bite the bullet.
I also have an old DeArmond purchased from Pete Wilsher many many moons ago, The tone double stacked pots have seised up. Guessing I'll not find a replacement these days. Using it currently until i get around to purchasing a new pot for the ZB

I’d love to try the Telonics stuff, I’ve heard excellent things about their amps too. As far as volume pedals, my friend had an original Sho Bud, it was amazing. The Hilton has been 100% reliable over countless hours, not got a bad word to say about their stuff.

Thank you ! What do you think of a passive pedal? is it better or worse?

I love the feel of passive pedals but they break, the pots don’t last that long and they are fairly expensive to replace. I’d go with an active pedal any day of the week, Hilton, Telonics.

I was using a Goodrich pedal until the pot stopped working, I couldn’t find anyone to repair it and couldn’t find the pot itself.
I bought the Hilton and l don’t have to deal with that problem anymore. It’s definitely worth the investment.

I use the Lehle for steel and it’s great. No more replacing pots.
