    I bought one of these for my son as a first street bike. 2k miles later he’s still a happy camper. It’s an absolutely outstanding bike. You forgot to mention the great fuel economy though. We averaged 53mpg on our first interstate ride with an average speed somewhere between 70 to 80.

    Nobody’s gonna see this because it was a year later, but I bought a TS660 a few months ago and absolutely love it. I haven’t ridden a motorcycle in 33 years. Wow, so much has changed between this and the 883 Harley I used to own. It’s plenty zippy, and way smooth. The ABS and Traction control are nice, and the flickable chassis makes it fun for me in the curves.

    Just picked one up in blue 2 days ago. Coming off a Honda blackbird (very fast bike) I was worried that I'd be bored with the power. I only have about 100 miles on it so far but this bike makes power in such a fun way it's hard to describe. Feels much faster than it is. Loving it so far

    My TS660 just ticked-over 2K miles. I'm a 35+ years veteran rider, and absolutely love this thing! My other bikes are an '18 Tiger 1200 and a '16 Tuono Factory. The fueling on this bike is superb. The power-band is usable from low---high revs. Being you'll be shifting frequently, the quick shifter is a must (and it works great, both up & down.) It's easy to think this bike would be just another "entry" bike, but it's much more than that. I think it'd be great for new riders, but it even puts a great big grin on this old fart too! I often find myself bursting out laughing in my helmet while screaming this thing up & down my favorite mountain road.

      Same here, cruise control on a touring bike, seems like a no brainer? I would have bought it already. So I'm looking at other brands. 2023 I will buy a new bike, hopefully Triumph gives the Tiger sport 660 cruise. I will buy it.

    Sat on one last weekend at the dealership. Didn't ride it but after sitting on a few other bikes (Street Triple, Trident & even 1200RR[way too low]) I felt these were just too upright for my personal liking. I had no issue with height at 5'10 but I've become a big fan of the naked style.
    Also that big gaping area under the dash & fairings just puts me off. The controls were pretty easy to touch & the dash system looks great along with the similar system on the Trident.
    Looking forward to what you guys end up doing with these. Easy to understand why they are so popular even depsite my personal preferences.

    I bought my blue TS660 in the spring... just over 15000kms on it now and it's been exactly what I wanted.
    You mention the push-buttons having a good feel and you are right. Too bad the heated grip button wasn't the same. I find this button to have no feel at all, and I have to look at the TFT to know if I pushed it. And the TFT is great as you say... I do wish there was a customizable tray to just show the things I want it to.... Would save me darting around the screens... but really, great bike. Every km is enjoyable.

    What is the insurance like for one of these since it’s a full fendered touring model?

    • @thumperjdm
      @thumperjdm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Insurance rates are very subjective; based on location, rider experience, driving record, etc. Get a VIN# from a Triumph dealer's website, and call your insurance agent with it. For me, a ZX-6R was quoted ~$800/year, but my TS660 is $350/yr.

    You're getting too stuck in your ways, Chase. Time to mix things up a liitle, methinks. You have 2 Triumphs (for whatever reason - perhaps they're not selling any, I know not), so why don't you use them and do a tourette (not the illness). It's good to change ideas and focus. You really don't change stuff often enough. This is one of your greatest fans telling you this. Take Beau on a jolly. But, don't stay in any dodgy, murder prone, motels to save money. Full review, please.

    I wish you could one day review a ktm adventure 390 especially the newer one.. Ive worked on track used 390 engines for so long I am confident buying used ones no matter how beat up they are but these triumph 660’s look very tempting.. like a month after the trident’s release I have been seeing dozens of them on my hometown so I’m expecting these adv touring versions to be the same..

    The front fender is so ugly, looks like an afterthought. They can’t give them away here where I live. Meanwhile, Tridents are sold out.
