    My turning point was when I took Tim's Launch Course a year and a half ago. I knew I could start my own online teaching company after that course. He really equips you with everything you need to begin......from making your own website, how to get paid, different curriculums you can choose, to marketing/advertising, etc. And Tim is the REAL DEAL! He cares about your success!

      I second that Cheri! Tim's Launch course give me the knowledge, tools, and confidence I needed to de-platform from AmazingTalker. So happy I took the plunge!

    Tim, this video was great! It also reminded me when we all did VIPKID videos and thought it could never get better than booking peak time classes! My turning point was hiring a Pinterest manager back in 2020 to market my Outschool classes to prospective families and, more recently, taking graphic design classes to create teaching resources for Teachers Pay Teachers. :)

    Hey, Tim! I feel like we've had very much the same journey in teaching online. I've been teaching online since 2014, and I also like so many suffered from the tanking of ESL in 2021. I've been teaching Spanish online since then, mostly building my business on out school. I've just begun getting a few clients on my own, but I'm also facing the dilemma of trading my time for money. I'm starting to build my own offer on my own website, build my youtube channel, and do all the things. One of the videos you posted recently inspired me to start building offers for asynchronous learning in Spanish and Spanish writing. I'm really excited about this! Thanks for opening my eyes so I can build in the right direction, And not waste time building more of "trading my time for money". I have, thankfully, plenty of work in the live teaching realm, and it's time to start building something else that makes us money without needing to be live on screen with students all the time. Your videos have been so helpful!

    My turning point happened in 2017 when I left my job as an English teacher/professor and language coordinator at a University and an Oxford English School here in Guadalajara. Since my Spanish had improved to the point that I could market and sell for myself, I began teaching groups and coaching executives at HSBC Corporate, COCA-COLA and other corporations here in Guadalajara whose success was extremely dependant on speaking business English. Unfortunately, when the pandemic hit, in hindsight, I realize I wasn't able to transition online. Now, I'm ready to begin from ground zero towards building an online/digital teaching business. I really appreciate hearing your testimonial and having access to your TH-cam videos. I've spent a lot of time studying how to get started and am looking to pull the trigger this month, once I get my laptop back from the shop! God bless you! Talk soon! 👍🏽

    Thank you, Tim! Another great reflection. I am inspired AGAIN! I have over 20 students, and want to max out at 25. I am developing PowerPoint curricula for adult speaking classes and, eventually, want to put them out there for other teachers. Thanks for your continued inspiration.❤

    I'm slowly building out my TH-cam channel and am currently in my longest streak of consistent uploads. A turning point for me would be a set of courses to complement my channel. I'm looking to start producing these next year.

    Thank you! btw, Niche is not pronounced 'nitch' it is pronounced like this; neesh

    • @onlineteacherdude1284
      @onlineteacherdude1284  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the great debate :) "nitch" is more common from what I hear than neesh, but I hear them both. I say potato , do you say potatoe? lol

    • @stewart5738
      @stewart5738 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@onlineteacherdude1284 Interestingly, there are 19 words that end with 'iche'. All of them are pronounced 'eesh' at the end (with an extra syllable added at the end of cliche - KLEESHAY). Only a certain percentage of American English users pronounce niche differently to the other 19 'iche' words. It's an American exceptionalism (with a French word!) adding a T sound and using the silent e rule, yet abandoning this reasoning for all other 'iche' words. It is mind boggling! Try it yourself: Quiche, Pastiche, Cliche, Seviche, Microfiche, Babiche etc. Do any of these words use silent e rules or add a T sound? Nope.

      @@stewart5738 Hey I'm certainly not an etymology expert but English has a lot of rules that don't always get followed for sure. I have heard the word pronounced both ways almost equally but I appreciate your research and clarification. I probably say both at different times and i think it's ok either way :)
