Destiny 1 Destiny 2 Nightfall Strike Solo
I really like that not only do you clear the strike on all 3 characters, but they all have slightly different loadouts. That's super cool to me that you try different things out on the characters, but aren't afraid to keep using a gun if it was really helpful on a previous run. Great video!

This is one piece of content that I'd love to have back in d2.

Judging by how Bungie updated the Arms Dealer and Lake of Shadows strikes recently, they'd probably ruin it

@Dio Tis indeed one of Savathun's children. He and Balwur both are Savathun's kids and joined Oryx's court.
@Dio yep. He got sent to join oryxs court to siphon off tithe for savathun. Oryx found out and made him taken as punishment. He left maloks will partially intact just like quria so that he would always suffer as a taken.

It’s at times when I watch theses kinds of videos that I really think that d1 is my favorite game of all time
These nightfall vids made me buy the d1 collection and I've been loving it, I play solo but my best friend occasionally joins. Played D1 until the end of house of wolves (right before its peak lol) and am currently pretty over D2.
Thank you for these videos, it saddens me that more people don't go back to D1 anymore but it's understandable.

why would anyone go back to an objectively worse game
The only reason I haven't entirely switched back to D1 is just because no PC port. If there was one, I'd never be playing D2. D2 is just a worse version of D1 and just shows how Bungie got progressively worse and worse over the years.

The reason doom of chelchis feels weird to shoot is because everyone got spoiled with a no recoil Hung jury from TTK. You do actually have to control it some
Are there any currently obtainable scouts that feel like hung jury? I'm planning on getting D1 this summer and wondering what to go for, as hung jury is no longer obtainable
@@anti351if you delete your rise of iron dlc you can obtain hung jury
They could easily bring this strike back into D2, this area is still accessible on the moon, would love to see this and some other D1 strikes come back.
Besides is one of the best strike, the music Court of oryx makes the final encounter really amazing.

Damn, D1 had such good strikes compared to D2. I wish we'd get some of them back like we did with the cosmodrome strikes. Also strike-specific armor modeled after the bosses just beg to be implemented in D2.
I made a post on destinythegame reddit about it. The comments made me think that most d2 players don't even deserve strike specific armor xD
@@draccondracul2082 Problem is most Player now think d1 was extremely bad even though it had made Features Bungie should have carried over to D2. Strikes in D1 definitly are superior to d2.

@@draccondracul2082 just the technological aspects and bungie dropping content and then ghosting in d1 while now content is allways there but dripfed. I also like D1 more so I hope we one day get a pc version with 60fps.
@@draccondracul2082 One of the reasons is content, in D1 Bungie released an expansion and then disappeared, which created the infamous content drought, I've seen people saying that The Taken King is a bad expansion because of the content drought, however D1 had a lot content, The Taken King alone has more content than any D2 expansion, the only D2 expansion that perhaps has more content than TTK is Forsaken.
In D2 players have less content but as it is drip feed throughout the year it causes the illusion of more content, this was something that Bungie learned in TTK, the community cares more about the illusion of having content than having content in itself.
I remember in the April update several of my friends complaining about how Bungie just put Taken in POE and called it new content, but nowadays everyone plays the same horde mode only in different locations and pays for it. But those kinds of details are always going to be ignored when they criticize D1, consciously or unconsciously.

I love how how good D1 looks and plays today. Some of the Wrath of the Machine content still has some of the best art and design in Destiny.
Malok is such a fun fight, if a little annoying. I think it has the grand feeling of importance that D1 is so good at creating.

I would honestly enjoy a D1 remaster for next gen and pc leaving all the D1 content in this game and D2 just receiving new content and stuff instead of returning stuff from D1.
I do enjoy some returning stuff but moving forward in D2 would enjoy newer ideas and content and D1 would love to be preserved, updated and to be enjoyed by more as it was and for anyone to come back too.
There’s a fan port of D1 to PC, which, once it becomes stable, will be graphically overhauled. After that there is no telling how good of a game it will be again, especially if QoL updates like clamber and climb are included or community made raids are somehow possible.

D1 nightfalls were actually tough but so damn fun.
When using Sunbreaker always use the melee perk for its super. Uses less energy, has Explosive Pyre built in and, in this nightfall, wouldve benefitted from Brawler.
It would be awesome if Bungo brought this strike back in D2, it was among my favourites.
11:04 I said the exact same thing about the servers of destiny. It is the only game that I have a hard time connecting to their servers. This is the only game that will kick you out to the title screen and or back to whatever kicks you out of.

Back when the only content that was relevant was where to not stand . I remember camping under a ramp for an hour with just a bow just to get that damn blue flame. Man it felt good strutting that around the Tower, getting asked how to get it and then to help out.
I recently found out there is a urn of sacrifice mission in one of the heroic weekly story playlists. I got it to show up once and haven't seen it since.

I feel like with the difficulty scaling being a bit more intense this season, and the recent change to champions that allows them to be stunned by various abilities, they should bring back daybreak as a thing. I would love mayhem PvE.
Did this Friday and surprisingly it wasn't that difficult on solo. Daybreak is awesome

I have some friends getting back into D2 i’m told them that’s a bad idea and instead should try playing D1 Infinity more fun and cooler
This is why I still request strikes from D1 into D2. Because at this point we ain’t going to get more then 2 strikes and year so might as well and try to make the best out of that
watching this makes me not only go back to memories of the prime d1 days but tells me how far Bungie has improved in d2, and how good d1 is still today, props and gl with your future content 🫡
Those taken psions duplicate fast like amoebas lol, just like those on legendary lost sectors in D2 where taken are featured. Thanks for the great content
Him: The Taken Psions split way more in D1 than D2.
Me: The Yellow Bars split way more and much faster than the Red Bar Psions.

You have good content man and I didn't even play destiny 1
D1 was a better time. Simple and fun with a team that cared. All classes were easily approachable and you didn’t have to deal with build crafting as we know it now. Basically it just had more soul

I wish D1 benefited from fps boost on Xbox. My brain has a hard time switching between 30fps & 60fps. Before I upgraded to a Series X, I used to replay the D1 comparing at least once per year because I loved the initial mystery & feeling of being resurrected & achieving character levels

It took quite a while for you to solo but not too bad nicely done
Psions absolutely split that much in D2, we just have better ways of dealing with them now than we did in D1. xD If you ever try to go after Taken Psions with a Hand Cannon in D2 without using abilities or what have you to AoE them down when they split, you'll find they basically go on an infinite chain of splitting until you eventually chuck a Grenade at them, or have an AoE proc from say Thorn Necrotic Grips.

The hardest strike I’ve ever tried to solo (not even nightfall) is the strike you have to do to get dark drinker. I don’t remember what the boss name or strike name is but I’m sure everyone knows. Fuckin hell that strike is tough solo

@@cjp8155 yea bro you drop into that pit and it’s real foggy and there’s 3 different bosses all with different burns god that strike was hard on higher difficulties
Interesting, I felt like those damage numbers on Praedyth's were enormous, so I hopped in D2 and went to the Altar on the Moon to shoot some bosses, and yeah Praedyth's did waaaaay more damage in D1. Like, it was hitting for 52K in this video... in D2, it hits for 18K per shot on bosses. I don't know whether that's relative to the boss health in each game, but that's pretty wild to see those number differences with the exact same gun.

i really like how much trouble a simple psion group can make or just one major enemy. They can be intimidating, and i miss this feeling from the moment then in d2 we became more and more overpowered. ( especially last few years: resilience change, 3.0 system, ability spam) And a way for tuning difficulty became an "add more enemies" solution. Just sad. I would prefer more tactical approach then i have small group of enemies that require at least some level of tactics instead of what we have nowadays: hords of adds that you clear almost like in diablo without any trouble or any thought. Just a little bit sad.
That’s what I noticed replaying destinh 1 no matter the lvl you can die to a horde of enemies like it’s nothing. On destiny 2 all missions don’t hit the same even raids are easy as hell.
I have the same problem, mostly PVP...
D1 was such a great game, I miss when the best weapons were ones that felt really good to use and consistant, rather than just what causes the most explosions like in D2, the gunplay was something they did leagues better in D1, as well as the difficulty, if you ran around in the open with an SMG in a hero strike or higher in D1, you would be put in the ground before you could get your thirk kill.
They made D2 all about healing. Devour is op, Restoration is op. everybody is running around with a 100 % uptime on healing/overshield or has cc covering the entire field. Bungie powercrept the challenge out if their game.
@@draccondracul2082 it's still challenging in it's own way, but the existance of well of radiance means all the difficulty in boss fights comes from mechanics, not the actual boss, for as strong as self res was, it wasn't a crutch like well is. But I miss my hand cannon being good for PvE, now all of the "good" hand cannons feel terrible to use, are slow and not fun, but cause one of the absurd effects that clears an entire room. If they do make a destiny 3, I hope they dial it back to how it was in D1, since D2 is pretty much unsalvigable from that perspective.
@@draccondracul2082 if you think d2 is easy then try solo master dungeons, solo gms and low man raids. There’s always challenges you can do.
@@Boz196 I just enjoy more strategic gameplay over everything exploding on my screen and getting killed because I got hit once. All of the healing and cc makes the game too one dimensional (either the enemy dies in seconds or I do and there's no in between)
There were no SMGs in D1.
