Yeah, just got another reply from an account trying to impersonate you. Tried to report the reply, but the options offered does not have a classification for fake impersonators. Hope you can get it investigated. Nasty people in this world, it shouldn’t be necessary for you to bother with that.
You should think of putting the toilet and sink in the up floor bedroom. It is very convenient to be able to leave your bed and go straight to the toilet. Worth considering. Shower and wash area can be downstairs.
Still watching your episode but before all the hundred messages, please, please...do a bio system instead of a simple septic system. A 3 stage system seconded by a plant evaporation area would be the best. Can be done with three IBC 1000lts tanks and you'll use the water for irrigation and not contaminating the water sources as you live close to a stream.
Another room/floor/dampness, water penetration rebuild. This time more experienced. Back in a dark, dusty, damp room. So much progress made upstairs. Great that you unblocked the window opening. Some reusable flag stones. Soon time to install a superior septic system as you get more volunteers and workers on site. Great start on room 2.
You can treat the woodworm damage. If you watch videos from The Repair Shop, the woodworking guru, Will Kirk, does great treatment for woodworm damage. Missed you last week! Great to have you back :o)
Great job Maya and crew. No matter the conditions, that is hard work. And you had difficult conditions. I hope you are able to get your conduit relocated so it is off the wall and under the floor. That will be a big visual improvement. I would like to make a suggestion about building a rubble pile. Always look to see if there is a location that would benefit from fill. That is where you start your rubble pile. Then move outward as more fill becomes available. In this case, I would have started filling right at your stone patio where the elevation of the soil starts to drop. If you had started there, you have a nice level pad adjacent to your patio for future expansion. When moving material, it is always best to move it once. Hope that is useful some day 🤓👍
Ah, I remember when I was younger and could work all day at that pace. I once dug out a basement one 5 gallon bucket on a cart at a time. I admire your persistence. Keep up the good work, I'm really enjoying your build.
That big box coyld be treated and used for putting a sink on for one end your bathroom and then having a big beautiful vanity area next to the sink. Its perfect. I cant wait for your amazing finished room.
Just 6 minutes in so far, and my lower back is aching just watching you guys! 😃 Your strength and determination is admirable. Even when I was that young, I'm not sure I could've done all that heavy lifting and carrying. I am SO happy for you that you will have a nicer bathroom now🤸🏻♀️❤.
Hello Maya, place plastic sheeting on the floor before starting the floor to avoid infiltration and humidity on the future floor and walls. Hugs from Brazil 🇧🇷 😅🎉❤
Maya, I love everything you are doing with the property. Your videos are awesome! But, as a horticulturist, I must tell you that you and Dave planted that apple tree way to low and you added quite a bit of soil on the top of the tree. In the future plant your trees an inch or two above the existing soil elevation and bring soil up to the top of the ball. Especially with apples, adding soil on the top of the ball like that you probably covered the graft and will promote lots of sucker growth which you will have to prune constantly. Don't forget to mulch the tree.
Frohe Ostern Maya. Wow, that looked like such hard work. Are you going so deep for pipe work and damp proofing? Do you have enough solar/battery for under-floor heating? X
Wow I’m so impressed by your channel and your hard work. Just wow! I’m a new subscriber, can’t wait to follow your journey. Let’s goooo! (I love your little victory dance ritual)
Hey Maya!!! Glad to see you and so glad that you have help again! Please tell me that you are keeping the pizza oven? It seems to be in good shape. It’s kinda tough to see/imagine the layout of the house…
Well done to you and Dave in removing dirt and huge flat stones at a relentless pace 🥵🥵 The physicality of this job can’t really be truly understood by just watching …but I’m very sure both you and Dave understood it TOTALLY !!!! And then you carried on with your next amazing helpers …. until FINALLY it was finished … huge respect for you Maya 👏👏👏👏 Durban SA 🇿🇦
So much progress! I'm glad you were able to stabilize the wall, but you will need a new stone or concrete threshold there for long term stability. Happy Easter!
You and the guys ROCK!!! LOL ohhh that may be a bad word about now, rock I mean lol like tons of them.😉😃 Great work. I feel guilty just sitting here watching. LOL I send you all strength, peace and love!!
You have so much moving water and you have a water wheel already. Surprised you didn't put a small system in to make electricity with it. It would supply most if not all of your needs. Your doing great your making so much progress
Just found your channel. You are an extremely hard worker. You have so much work ahead of you but one day you will be done and it will all be worth the sore body and achy bones. You seem to have a lot of friends to help and that is amazing. Keep the great videos coming, I enjoy watching building projects like this.
Maya, I have binged on your videos and caught up! You are truly amazing. I will miss watching one video after another. However I am subscribed and look forward to many more. Have you considered more than one a week. Stay safe and keep up the amazing job!!
You can squeeze mortar out a plastic bag like icing a cake. it will help you get mortar into cracks and tite places .like repairs or just lined the rock walls . hope this helps you out
A knee wall or underpinning of the walls should occur soon especially for any wall where the outside is below grade. Frost heave or moisture from rain can move the wall. A knee wall is easiest but will use up space in the room and will be visible.
You go girl!! What a great job. Now I'm crazy curious. Hints about the layout in this space....please please please. Finally, do you think you can revive your current septic or will you need to upgrade??? Thanks so much for your time. Filming must be such a hassle.
I just watched another channel where he excavated the floor of a two-story stone house - he poured a concrete retaining support wall inside before excavating to support the structure.
Great start to a new room for a washroom, indoor shower. Looked like lots of back breaking work! But you got-r done yay!!! You gained lots of head room also and all those flag stones will look great if you utilize them for a walking path. Have an awesome day and week Mya Happy Easter 😊
Congratulations on the hard work. Maybe I have missed something, but just explaining what you plan to do with the different buildings and how you will approach it would be nice to follow. With images of the design of the buildings, your supervisors could provide ideas so that it is more than just looking at what you do. I'll give an example: the floor that you just tore out because you rightly wanted to lower it, what will be the floor there later? The floor was so beautiful that perhaps re-laying it a lot lower would be different from a normal tile floor. I look forward to your follow-up.
Hi Maya, Another really enjoyable video. You dug down quite a long way. Glad you are keeping the chest as it looked amazing. Do you use a generator to power the power tools for now or do the solar panels provide enough electricity? Take care Maya. Cheers, Huw
Omg you looked like you were digging to Australia. That’s going to take a lot of concrete to refill that. Glad we got the little dance. Well done to all involved ❤❤❤
Wow, that’s a lot of hard work. Great job👏🏻. Make sure you get tested for rayon. You can also put a rayon sheet down before you put the floor in. Better safe than sorry. 😊
Morning Maya. Have you thought about going further down on the old floor and fitting underfloor heating? It would really help the whole building warm up over time.
Thanks for all your lovely comments! And I'm keeping the wooden box, I love it.

Curious if you have multiple fruit tree species so they can cross-pollinate and you'll get the fruit you desire? Also will you bees?

I'm planning to do a biological black water treatment as the second stage, happy about any links on how to build one! 🙏
U just killed his back when you dropped the step.
This!!!! 💯
@@th5579 I'm watching that bit as I'm reading your comment. Poor fella lol
Oven is for bread and to make food specifically in Easter we eat rice potatoes and meat cooked in the oven. Welcome to Portugal 😘
Nice to have you back! Dave is a great help.
you can treat woodworm and keep the box for linen or towells
Was going to say that. Absolutely beautiful piece of furniture
I thought the same thing, stand it upright add shelves
of course I'll keep it, it's wonderful 😊
😭
Dave thanks for helping Maya you are a amazing person ❤️

I was watching them and was like they would be a great match❤
I thought the same thing the very first time Dave appeared... 😊

Wow you guys had to go even deeper!
That was hard work, but really enjoyed it 😊.
Thanks for all the lovely comments guys x
You and Maya did a great job! Thank you for helping her and it was lovely to see you back there.
Digging the floor down deeper like that has destabilized the foundation walls .
Ah, I remember when I was younger and could work all day at that pace. I once dug out a basement one 5 gallon bucket on a cart at a time. I admire your persistence. Keep up the good work, I'm really enjoying your build.

Sunday morning, tea with Maya. lets Gooooo
The stones from the floor could make a nice patio some where, you remind me of myself when I was younger just do it
What a job again ! You and Dave seem to work very well together.
Do the walls have enough support? it might be useful to make a small wall of concrete to support the bottom of the walls.
Absolutely . The wall foundations have destabilized . That was a big mistake unless they plan on pouring concrete benching .
Very clever to push the wall back like that. Everyone needs a Dave.
Que bom, já está a começar a rotina dos vídeos do domingo, sem dúvida os meus preferidos ❤🇵🇹

On Sunday morning your video is the one!! Your joyfulness lifts the spirit!!
Love watching all your little dances throughout all of this. Very talented. lol
Wow, you have hard working friends. Hope that wasn't a vacation week for him.
Hello Maya, place plastic sheeting on the floor before starting the floor to avoid infiltration and humidity on the future floor and walls. Hugs from Brazil 🇧🇷 😅🎉❤
Top work Maya and Dave! Thanks for the dance break too, love to you all x
WOW Miya, you both worked so hard, great job, excited to watch this room evolve 😊

Hey Maya!!! Glad to see you and so glad that you have help again! Please tell me that you are keeping the pizza oven? It seems to be in good shape. It’s kinda tough to see/imagine the layout of the house…

Very happy to see u happy.🎉
A KEEPER!!!
You have to be a really great person for someone to come play Mine 3D Xtreme with you for days and days!
If you pick a handful of the eucalypt flowers and drop them in the billy with a handful of tea, you can make quite a refreshing drink.
Thanks for posting and sharing Maya. Great work getting all the slate out and lowering the stone and earth below.
You have so much moving water and you have a water wheel already. Surprised you didn't put a small system in to make electricity with it. It would supply most if not all of your needs. Your doing great your making so much progress
😮 wow.. that was such an under taking! In the beginning with your friend how many times did you just think... ahh the old bath may not be that bad 😅

Hi! I love also how you cheer every single time, when you finish some task 😊 Juhuuu!! I love your content!!
ah, wanted to see more. well done. that place really has great potential. a lot of character.
You can squeeze mortar out a plastic bag like icing a cake. it will help you get mortar into cracks and tite places .like repairs or just lined the rock walls . hope this helps you out
@14:40 .. and that's why they excavate in sections, shoring the wall with concrete piers before moving to another section.
I love watching this now❤❤ building and turning beautiful placed
Such an impressive channel Maya. Your videos are relaxing to watch and I enjoy them all.
Dave is a God send! X
Plant them low - they won't grow. Plant them high - they won't die. The roots must be able to get oxygen for the plant to survive.
Great project and great video!
Consider using self-leveling concrete for the new floor,
Boas pedras para fazer um caminho de passagem
Happy Easter!🙏
Well, you certainly aren’t put off by hard work. Can’t wait to see the lovely end product.
Holey, that was a lot of work. Your backs must have been fanging with pain after that. It will be amazing though, Well done Maya and Dave:-)
love your hard work ... keep in touch - from austria

I would use the flag stone for a outside patio with a purala and have figs run to cover it! Or some vine roses on each post to cover it...😊
Now you have headroom in the basement. Good work, you and Dave!
You go girl!! What a great job. Now I'm crazy curious. Hints about the layout in this space....please please please. Finally, do you think you can revive your current septic or will you need to upgrade???
Thanks so much for your time. Filming must be such a hassle.
Beautiful soil.Glad you had help. That was some heavy duty workoutt!

This is so cool. I’m enjoying watching the progress you’re making!!! Kudos.
P.S a man like Dave is 1000% husband material lol just saying.
You did good look forward to the next step in your bathroom. This is Esther from Floyd.😊
Hi Maya ,I love watching all of your videos.
Congratulations on the hard work.

Hard at work more power to you
What a great episode of hard work by you both. Hope to see more soon ❤❤❤
It was very beautiful
Hi Maya,
Another really enjoyable video.
You dug down quite a long way.
Glad you are keeping the chest as it looked amazing.
Do you use a generator to power the power tools for now or do the solar panels provide enough electricity?
Take care Maya.
Cheers, Huw
I have been watching your videos from the start and look forward to them every week. You are an amazing young woman following her dreams…
Omg you looked like you were digging to Australia. That’s going to take a lot of concrete to refill that. Glad we got the little dance. Well done to all involved ❤❤❤
I feel so accomplished watching you guys work and getting so much done.
Wow, that’s a lot of hard work. Great job👏🏻. Make sure you get tested for rayon. You can also put a rayon sheet down before you put the floor in. Better safe than sorry. 😊
Radon gas found typically over granite bedrock iirc.
You work so hard ❤ It is going to be beautiful when it is finished! Good job!!💪🔥🌸
Beautiful floor stones! Great teamwork! 🫶😊👍🌟
Morning Maya. Have you thought about going further down on the old floor and fitting underfloor heating? It would really help the whole building warm up over time.
Moving rocks out of the house! All the jobs at one time!
