This is literally so great. It really enlightens the whole context, certainly far more supported than philosophy interpretations deriving a trinity which come later in history. Thank you!
The Jews understood Jesus correctly when they accused Jesus of making himself "equal" with God because the law of Agency says that the agent is equal to the sender. Today, we might say he had the "power of attorney" to act on behalf of God. Jesus spends the last twenty-nine verses of the chapter explaining exactly how he is equal to God. Now we know that he is not equal to God in the sense of his identity because he says the Father is greater than himself and John 14:28.
Dustin is always fantastic 🤩 Also I have a channel on TH-cam where I've posted some early church history, including Didache, and The Clement Homilies, 20 penned by the first early church fathers from 60-90AD. These are "hidden gems", Apostle Peter was absolutely brilliant in his debates against Simon Mangus, plus back stories to the parables giants, original sin & Eschatology & MORE!! These were quoted by early church fathers & used to fight against Gnosticism & heresies. Due to the harsh warning and initiation process attached to "disclosing" these books from Peter? They were held aside for "private use" then sadly forgotten about. (Spoiler alert the Apostles are "biblical Unitarian") God bless!! 4kBible 🤗
Here's more context on John 1:1 that may help clarify to you what it is saying. In the beginning was the Truth, and the Truth was with God, and the Truth was God.
When all the facts are laid out before us, the truth of the matter is plain and it should be evident to the reasonable mind that the weight of the evidence is heavily against the Trinitarian translation. The Trinitarian translation not only results in an absurd statement concerning God's God, it results in an ancient Davidic King (Ps 45) who lived long before Jesus being called "God." Trinitarians inconsistently translate ho theos at 1:8-9 and the implications are that God has a God and God's God anoints God so that God will make God to be above God's peers. It's ridiculous on the face of it. Christians unlearned of Torah and Igonrance The “Law of Agency ”Yeshua is the shaliach (emissary or agent) and High priest of God,”Yeshua is Completed Tzaddik, but he is not God. Since he is the fully empowered agent of God, he has the power to forgive sins, heal, resurrect, etc. But his power does not prove him to be God. All it proves is that he is fully empowered by God!
Are the agents you sometimes send men? Is your son a man? Or is your son much more than a man? Can your son be calked a man? Is it right to call your son a man? Is it wrong to call your son an agent if you send him out on a mission for you? Is not sending your son a sending of the best kind of agent?
The concept of Agency does not apply at all in the area of prayer that is directly rendered unto the Lord Jesus since one can just as easily render prayer directly unto the Father. An agent would be a party when the other party is not there and/or cannot be reached. An "agent" is therefore unnecessary. Since the Lord Jesus is the proper recipient of prayer proves He is God.
@@kardiognostesministries8150if God says Jesus can be spoken to (he is alive after all) then that means we can do so. No one in the Bible argues that because Jesus is prayed to, that means he is God. It is an argument invented by those outside of the Bible.
@@jordandthornburg The thing is Jesus already affirmed latreuo is due unto God alone (Luke 4:8). Since one of the ways latreuo can be rendered is by means of prayer (Luke 2:37). Thus, prayer is due unto God alone. By the way, both Luke 4:8 and Luke 2:37 are found in the Bible, not outside of it.
@ because prayer is a way that divine service is offered, it doesn’t mean it inherently is divine service. Again, these are connections YOU are making, not any connections the biblical authors made or points they made.
Unitarian Christian Alliance, Is there anyway you guys can set up a debate with Greg Stafford @cwjahtube about the pre-existence of Jesus Christ. I would love to see someone like Dustin or Bill Schlegel debate Stafford and see which side has the strongest arguments either the literal or notional pre-existence of Jesus. Arian vs Socinian. Bring it on baby.

The German guy, I think, didn’t understand the meaning of the English word “agent”. Perhaps he needed it described to him more specifically.

As an observation in the last question about Moses. The Egyptian etymology is "son of". Ramases (Ra Moses) means Son of Ra.
