    To who it may concern,
    First of all, I'm trying to be more polite as I can because I'm trying to use this to direct a message to the World Rugby. I live in Brazil and we are over 200 million people very passionate about sports, as you can see by soccer. However unfortunately not the same about Rugby yet. So I'm here to make an appeal to you guys from the World Rugby to help people to know Rugby in Brazil and get in love for this amazing sport. What i'm here to ask in simple, could you try add some subtitles in Portuguese to some of your videos, doesn't need to be all of them just a few such as the opening ceremony would be great to start and it will make everyone knows more about rugby
    kind regards

    For all of you complaining about the historical inaccuracies due the fact that there are black people in this video, speaking as on of the black actors featured in this video, if you were really annoyed about the historical inaccuracies then you would all be complaining about the fact that William Web Ellis has been portrayed as a member of School House where as original he was a day pupil, a member of Town House; so don't pretend like you really care about the historical accuracy of this video by complaining about how many black people are in this video and how political correctness is ruin history just to cover up you're racist complaints. Thank you.

      @BatHunterofDevon 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      +Babacar Ndoye
      Well I did not know that William Web Ellis was a member of School House. Thanks for telling us; so now we have two historical inaccuracies. But in any case, some inaccuracies are far more noticeable than others. Because there WERE NO BLACK CHILDREN IN BRITISH SCHOOLS IN 1823. Besides, think about it; even if there was (and especially if there was) we ought to be taught or shown by the folks who made this film a bit about him - for example, who he was, what he studied, and what happened to him when he grew up... Just so that we can be sure that he wasn't thrown in to propagate a ridiculous, revised understanding of British history to convey a mendacious, and frankly pathetic idea of how tolerant and diverse our country has always been. And given how little information there is about him - honestly I haven't seen anybody on this comments section give his name - it's obvious that he was picked for the latter reason.

    • @chocostarf
      @chocostarf 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      True and moreso the whole story is proven myth by the time Web Ellis was in the school rugby was already a sport. He was not the first person to pick up the ball. It is a good story though.

      If you haven't noticed, all those extras are former or current rugby players. The whole thing is just meant to be a laugh. Even this story of the origins of rugby is just a myth

    No one knows at this time that an incredibly hot tournament will be held in an Asian island country four years later, overturning the common wisdom of the world. That Asian island country is ... "Japan" Japanese just by recognizing that it is at the forefront of technology. I didn't know the people
    "Holding in Asia? It will fail" "I know Japan is a great country, but the rugby culture may not have matured enough to hold the Rugby World Cup" ... The first holding in Asia and the host country where such voices are heard here and there Japan ... I didn't know the world yet ... The Japanese said, "The Rugby World Cup is being held in Japan!" "Top players from all over the world are coming!" "If so, let's get ready and welcome!" And Kitakyushu City Then, at the time of the first practice of the Welsh national team, "Let's sing the Welsh national anthem!" "Let's gather volunteers at the Kitakyushu stadium and sing!"
    And even if 15,000 citizens gather at Kitakyushu Stadium on the day of the first practice and the plan to sing the Wales national anthem has begun ... And it "overturns the common sense of the world" "The common sense of Japan is the insane of the world" "It must be in Japan What you can't do ”... Nobody knows yet
