I Made A Valorant Line-Up Calculator (Not Cheating)

- Basically what the title says, I made a program that finds line-ups for Brimstone in Valorant.
This is not cheating as the program was never open during games, and if getting help to find line-ups in solo games was cheating then all the tutorials on TH-cam would also be cheating.

btw, if u drop brim smoke on spike then aim molly at where the smoke came from in the sky it always hits...
There is already a molly calculator on GitHub in pretty sure
"do you have a line up brim?"
"yea hold up"

i just finished watching the video and went on his channel, and the subscriber count went from 39 to 56
40 more than I had before, so I'm not complaining

the fact this video isnt gaining much attention is so sad. Way too underrated
No need to be sad, this is already more than I expected
problem solved (partially)
Average jonas: spend 5 hours in custom, find 10 lineups
Some guy: Spend 5 years getting a Computer science degree, find 50k lineups per second
you deserve way more views on this,it's goated for finding any line-up
Thanks
I don't really have time or brainpower to learn lineups, so I always had this stupid idea of studying the molly physics in a way that I could just look at the minimap for a distance of where I want to hit, and through that know what angle to shoot it to have it land where I want (or close to it since elevation would have to be guessed).
I'm so glad someone had a similar stupid idea, you're a savior and I'm ngl I am kinda in love rn? (but for real, that's some great work, I'd love to see it myself)
There are actually ways of doing what you described, but I also think being able to turn off my brain completely is more enjoyable
tbh ucan do that with viper and its so easy
That's not a stupid idea, its very clever.....
I can actually do this. I've been playing since beta and can tell how far or how high I need to throw any molly.
Dude the quality of this video was WAY above what I expected, good stuff. It was so good in fact that you got yourself a sub, would love part 2!
Thanks for the sub

As a laptop gamer the intel igpu made me cry
not everyone has money from mommy like you lmao, "mom can i get a new pc" lookin ahh
give him some money to upgrade to what u want man
Dope video, maybe this calculator will come up with some crazy lineups.
It does sometimes, but it tends to find the shortest paths rather than crazy bounces
u could do a lineup tutorial now that u have this lmao. @@BambooBot.
@@BambooBot. you can try to make it so it chooses throw that spends the most time before succesfull landing for more bounces/greater delay
This is such a well made video, with so much work put in it. The fact that you have less than 1k subs is astonishing. I subbed and many others will too!
I didn't even think I would get 10 subs, so thanks for getting me so close to 1k
Insane! This is a really cool idea, and I could see it making a lot of unique lineups!
Would definitely love to see more content from you. Not even Valorant, I seriously love your humor and this was well made! All kudos to you man
Thanks, I will make some other Valorant videos but I'm also already working on a non Valorant project
The amount of effort going into this is insane
nice video. i feel like someone might expand on this adding the other maps and sites. i think the best feature to add (but would be difficult) would be to show where the crosshair should be if you select a lineup
I feel like this is some type of a beginning of a "I made a (Agent) Line-Up calculator" series
Would you like to see that series?
I think it would be cool due to the amount of agents with throwing utilities, and who knows how far the idea of a line-up calculator could go :)
@@BambooBot. A Yoru TP one would be super cool! It should be pretty easy compared to thrown abilities too, just keep in mind that the TP turns while rubbing against walls and can go up some very shallow steps. Also has gravity and a lifetime.
@BambooBot. Bro I honestly think that if you made this a series, you could absolutely blow up from it

o7 Thank you
4:10 it was horrendous in the past. These objects dont have collisions so that your utility acts in a predictable manner and doesnt bounce of a 2 pixel leaf in a comoletely different way
really cool and fun watch, genuinely surprised this has only 600 views
Thanks, 600 views is more than I expected, so I'm not complaining
The foreshadowing
"Where should I plant for your line up?"
"Yes"
Your insane bro would love a part 2 where u go into details and downloads
Definitely making a part 2
Great vid bro. Hopefully one big channel promotes you so you'd blow up. Well done
Amazing video and youre so charismatic as well, reminds me of technoblade. You can also see how much hardwork you put into these videos. Keep it up!
wait this is genuinely amazing, you can literally find a lineup ANYWHERE, just think of the potential
this is so cool, you deserve way more views!
Thanks
This is an amazing video, can't wait to see where you go with this
I would love a part 2 + download
Commenting to boost this amazing video!
o7 Thank you
really like your approach
We could've made lineups in game only if there was a replay system
I feel like the physics should be reversible allowing you to pick the end point and send mollies in reverse until you find good starting points. There are only three standard projectile arcs possible depending on the number of bounces before contact and any bounce just follows the law of reflection making the math relatively simple for this. You can also do a few checks to rule out impossible line ups from where they were shot and when you find ones that are close, you can narrow in and put more mollie simulations there to get a better line up. I don't know how hard it would actually be, but I think it's doable.
Next one should be Sova Shock Dart, I know Average Jonas would love it
I doubt Average Jonas will ever see these videos, but I'll still make the Sova version
And the viper, the neon, the yoru flash, the kayo flash and knife, Razer grenade (hardest), harbour cove. Make this paid for the following feature- finding all possible mollys from a selected area on the map to a selected range of positions (for spike or otherwise), with a slider to determine a balance between render speed- max number of mollys possible
I'm the 1k subscriber, congrats!!! You deserve a lot more
Please do share the calculator, I'd love to add a part where you replicate the working shot and show the camera angle for the shot
Respect at 3 am doing this your the g
The grind never stops
Commenting for the algorithm. You're a smart dude, this was amazing 👏👏
o7 Thank you
Really cool video :D
I do kinda want to say that more accurate hitboxes isn't necessarily "better" game design though. There are many instances where level designers make hitboxes bigger or smaller than they appear to make the game *feel* much better for the player. Like some of those examples with detailing on the walls, it would be SUPER annoying if every little crack/bump had an accurate hitbox that would make things bounce off in unexpected directions.
my goat
criminally underrated
Fuck, man. Watching people being so good at a craft is always so satisfying.
You're part of a new wave of very high quality content producers that I find absolutely wonderful.
This was such a great watch. See you at 25k subs.
Also, was that the Ducktales Moon base song? That's fine taste right there.
Yeah, that molly was going to the Moon so it seemed appropriate.
WHY only 100 likes??? u deserve 2M likes at least
Thanks, maybe someday, but for now 100 likes is enough
I love the intro. Make my day haha
Nice Video, gained a new subscriber!
I would love a part 2 and a download.
Thank you, looks like there is going to be a part 2
nice looking at the comments and seeing youve jumped up almost 4k subs hope you keep growing
I’m pretty sure I saw a post about this on reddit. Great work bro, keep posting, I promise your channel will grow :)
The reddit post wasn't me so thanks to whoever's helping
This is genius! Maybe you can make a system that only aims at the points of the polygons to make it easier for the player to remember. Or a system that gives different variations for the same situation after doing all the calculations. Or it may be a system that makes calculations and automatically aims when you press a button during the game. I know this would be considered cheating, but technically speaking I would love to see this! I want to watch the 5th of this video already! GJ!
First idea would be cool but I would have to get the program to understand textures not only polygon shapes. I'm not good enough to code that but I might add the second one for later versions
@@BambooBot.Since I knew it would be difficult to look at the textures, I talked in terms of polygons. Valorant is a game that uses few polygons for low-end systems and mostly uses polygons only where needed. Therefore, even if the program only looks at polygons, it will have a much better memorability rate than before. But working with textures will of course be much better. Maybe you can take a 360-degree screenshot from the player's position and then look at the contrast values of the pixels. This will also allow you to just look at one image rather than doing thousands of calculations, greatly speeding up the calculation process.
If only there were a way to 3D scan a 2D screen :(
@@ilbailba A lot of good ideas, one problem though is that line-ups only use direct aiming sometimes, other times it's lining up other elements of the UI, so there's a lot to think about
@@h2o848 I technically can because I have the 3D model of them map, but it's still not easy
damn, i could almost hear the video over the sound of my air conditioner in the other room
This is what I get for watching new content, a well placed and hidden dagger only second in.
Touché, you've earned a subscriber.
Though you may be a laptop gamer, the effort in this video is definatly there. I'm subbing.
commenting to boost your video. way underrated, would love to try the calculator for myself as a smokes main :)
I don’t even play valorant, but this is genius… even though you could’ve used unity ECS to improve speed to find the lineups. And there are most likely full rips of the valorant maps available somewhere
Great video and ideas :D
I know this would take much more work/effort, but it would be interesting to have full map designs in order to do further lineups. But great video (hope it get's released)
I don't know how to make maps myself, but if I find downloads I can try to add this
Honestly I am way beyond impressed. Way too underrated you gained an extra subscriber
Thanks for subbing
Well that was quite interesting despite not liking valorant anymore this video was enjoyable (I subbed)
This will genuinely be revolutionary for pro play and even just regular players. You created something super original both in content and even with the program. Please keep this up, you're doing great and I am loving your content so far!
I would absolutely love this with other abilities, (Deadlock walls, Sova reveals, Kay/O knife, maybe even Yoru flashes?) it would make my life so much easier.
Not sure how I would do the Yoru flash but I might try the others
@@BambooBot. The thrown part has a lifetime, you could make the first bounce instantiate an object with the right straight bounce angle/velocity and then raycast from where that flash (also with a lifetime) pops to find out where it flashes!
@@h2o848 Good idea, but I thought Yoru flashes curve after bouncing. I might be wrong though.
GIVE. US. MORE. ALSO THIS WAS ON MY FYP AND IM GLAAAADDD
Would also be very cool if it returned a screenshot of something of the sort telling you where exactly you need to aim, as I know sometimes lineups need to be pretty exact
How tf you only have 3k subscribers, that's way too underrated
The fact that there is this much quality in your first ever video is actually crazy, amazing idea and execution
MY DUUUUUUUDE, this is awesome, a friend of mine is trying to learn Brim, and this would be " Uma mão na roda" (a great facilitator) to him.
Let me ask, are you Brazilian? Or playing in brazilian lobbys?
And last but not least, great video, keep up the good work!!
I hope your friend uses it if it will help. Also, no it's not Brazilian servers I'm in European servers
I'd love to see part 2 that works on making it more performant, and (hopefully) easier to use.
You could probably add a heuristic of some sort and a random search tree to find an optimal solution more quickly.
I didn't even think you could make something like this, good job man, I hope your videos get more attention in the future.
This is sick bruh, a lot of hard work. W
Thanks
If you could code in the trajectories for other agents (some share the same trajectory such as kayo nade, kj molly, and viper orb) this would actually be insanely useful, please make a part 2!
This video and idea is amazing. If it had an end goal, my idea would be to set up an app or program that you can use and select when you're standing and select where you want the lineup to go. It would show a green area where you can reach so you don't just select a lineup then get an incorrect lineup after calculating the lineup just to say "no lineup". Something like this and then you can have lineups from wherever you want and have it at quick ease. I would pay for a subscription like this or one time use to have in my games and would make playing the game alot more enjoyable, I can see this being a small business if you wanted to proceed further with the idea as this is genuinely a good concept idea that you've come up with so far.
that was such an unexpectedly in depth and amazing video, can’t wait to see everything it can come up with
This video is going to explode, awesome video!
With the spike so protected it's definitely going to explode
The best lineup calculator fo' sure!
773 subs? Keep it up man, love this style of content, it’s nice to see some Valorant content that isn’t how to rank up or just Smurf content
With such a witty humor and interesting video, I think you will have huge growth if you try to incorporate more agents into your calculator, I absolutely loved the video
Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you liked it
Very entertaining brother, it was chill loved it a lot
Coding and valorant combined together. That's so great, good job, bro
Thank you so much for this video, I had the idea of a lineup calculator but had no idea how to do it. Great video :D
0:29 The video froze for me but the audio kept playing and it made it a hundred times better lol
Yoo algo give this vid some recognition it deserves
as a developer with years of experience with unity, im honestly impressed
would love a part 2 as well as the download/ instructions to expand this to all maps
as well as how do you know from the simulation where to aim, like is there a specific lineup you can see from the simulation or do u just figure that out on ur own
this vid only has 30k+ views in 1 week?? this deserves more. subbed to ur channel for more content
Amazing video, definitely wanna see a part 2
This reminds me (sort of) of ray tracing in computer graphics, where instead of starting from the light source and following the path bouncing around objects to see whether that ray reaches the camera (which results in almost all rays missing the camera), the algorithm casts rays from the camera towards the scene and then we determine the light based on whether that ray hit a light source.
Perhaps something similar can be done here: for all spots near the spike, for various rotations and initial velocities, run the simulation in reverse, and see which grenades land somewhere with a velocity almost equal to that of a thrown grenade.
This way you should be able to find all lineups for a single plant, as opposed to all plants for a single lineup location. Not quite sure which is faster and more efficient though, might be worth a try!
THIS IS ACTUALLY SO COOL PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER VIDEO OVER THIS
I would love to have this program as a brim main...love the idea love the idea, this is crazy
This is crazzyy. Imagine kayo/yoru flashes wid a similar algorithm. It'll be wilddd
