His aim was below avarage, his game sense is above avarage for plat/diamond. His decision making isn't too bad, but he gamble a lot. Also it didn't looked like he was playing against radiant/immotal3. It felt like they all washed, didn't played in 2 years or simply boosted. Maybe they didn't take it too serious, no idea. But if this yoru would be on my team I wouldn't be too happy. He lacks mechanical skill. The way he peaks sometimes, the way he aims just doesn't give me a lot of trust in his ability to be consistent.

And? If he really is at the Radiant level, his winrate could have been 90%+, carrying himself out of Plat/Dia elo. A Radiant/Immo smurf immediately cuts that to 50%, since they’re evening out the skill difference. That’s a 40%+ difference in games won, which would make since considering he’s stuck. That’s before even considering throwers.

Yeah I personally think he’s at the proper rank. Ascendant is possible but not so for higher than that, because like you said, he still lacks on the game sense and more importantly utility usage, given his rank when this video was recorded. If he gets over that problem, he’s fit to reach diamond. Immortal+ requires these plus macro as the one being very crucial. That’s just what I think though, so don’t take this for granted.

You dont win prizes for winning in soloq, you do if you win tournaments. Soloq can help with your micro skill if you have enough time but i really dont get the people who have little time and spend so much time on soloq when they could go in flex with a full stack

Really smooth and calm aim, that goes a long way.. but he still has a lot of improving to do before he deserves Immortal. I'd say he fits in comfortably in Ascendant 1/2.
I solo'd to asc 3. The team incompetency and toxicity doesn't get much better - hell it honestly might be worse since they're more cocky due to the rank-up boosting their already inflated ego.

Dude. New idea. Instead of getting carried this guy should play with 5 people who think that they deserve a higher rank. Now that would be pure chaos. 5 so called elo hell players. Since If we are going to be totally honest, winning 1 game while having 4 good teammates takes a very low amount of skill. But if you actually need to make decisive decisions to win, then it would be more interesting. It was just a team gap here, but you highlighted his mistakes quite well. Like the antieco mid peek makes 0 sense, since that map is notorious for a hold on the doorway so if you are up guns then playing it safe will win you more rounds, not a op and a bad peek mid. Instead playing laid back on site and then retaking with the whole team. So let the stinger players take your site while you shoot at them and then fall back. Get flanks in and just attack from 3 angles long ranged against stingers. Now this requires some IGL work, but honestly it doesn't really matter what rank you are as long as you have decent aim and a good IGL. You can see immortal 5 stacks destroy professional players all the time, teamplay is really what makes or breaks a team and 1 plat player can't break that singlehandedly.

I queued with radiants and beat them 3 games in a row I was match mvp with 35 kills. Does this mean that I am radiant level good? No, it just means they had bad games and I had good games, consistency is key. These videos show only a few games at most and rankups take tens of games to prove that you can play at that level. Especially with rank resets. While I do agree that the Valorant rank system is bs, especially the rank reset, we can't really be claiming things off 1 game. I want to see 10 games at the very least, and without a vc so they don't get IGL advantage. Since I can assure you that better players will make everyone play better with coms on what to do.@@zaktech7816

This is just my opinion, but here goes:
His aim is fine, it could take care of him even in immo. Always room for practice ofc.
Awareness was decent but it slipped a few times where he was holding an angle the enemy realistically won't be in, sometimes can't be in due to his teammate holding.
His movement and clearing needs work. He will find himself getting sh*t on dry peeking, swinging wide, or flash peeking (someone will always play anti). He needs to start jump peeking if he's untradable and timing peeks with his team for trades.
His util usage is actually so bad I'm calling it will hold him back in asc but it's not obvious. His ult usage is not great, he held it for 3+ rounds. He should almost always go for shorty/bucky when it's up, ult, give info, find one, get the pick, tp out or stay in a rat angle if possible. When he ulted he was way too passive, at the very least push into the enemy and trap their movement, it's super disorienting and impossible to counter. I didn't see a clip where his clone made a play, it was always sent walking in a suicide angle towards a wall, with no way to follow it up even if enemy DID shoot it. He can either A) set up his clones to w key past a corner making it look like a peek, or B) fake clone at some goofy angle and then flick after. That doesn't work in low elo but it's great in high elo. His tp usage was again okay but far from insane, especially on attack. Flash tp in is Yoru's bread and butter entry, he should go for it more often, look up some tp lineups. His flashes, tbh I can't make an opinion on, I don't play flash agents ever XD.
I think he's a good asc player and would get there quick, but his aim mechanics are so good that when it can't carry him anymore, he will hit a wall where he won't know what he doesn't know, and get hardstuck. Seeing this review, I have no doubt he could've match MVPd 25/8 with better util usage. Just look closely at the apparently high radiant jett on his team, the stats were similar, but the movement, pathing, and util usage was night/day different.
On 8:03 u said something about he should have got info on the other player that staring at skye but staring at skye like this first pressures skye that u can flash pop up any second and she is in a spam-able spot so I think you wrong on your analysis
In other situations yes, that would have been an alright move to do. But, the other enemy alive was a brim who has ult for post plant. The better move would've been to ping the skye, let his teammate handle her since she was in an easily killable spot and they were collpsing on her anyway, then make sure that brim's position is either noted, or he goes for the brim kill instead. It's a more sure fire way of winning the round because his ult expired before he got a chance to make it to brim and had to go through that extra risk of dueling normally.

He looks like CS players who tried valorant at the beginning : crazy crisp aim, knows how to play FPS, but lacks a lot of the valorant basics which makes a contrast where some things he does look like immo, some others look like plat. This is enough to get ascendant easily I'd say, but he needs more to get any higher in my opinion
I relate to this a lot, I've been around gold since Val came out, making plat every time I really tried to grind comp, but kinda got stuck there. Playing premiere and scrimming with friends I actually play way better, too fragging in full immortal lobbies often. There's just something about knowing you got your back covered, knowing you can lose the fight and be traded, having a clear gameplan, and of course having fun that just makes me more free to play not only my main (Raze) but also any other role that I wouldn't be comfortable with on my own. I feel useless playing KJ or Cypher usually but as a 5 it's just different. That's the way the game is supposed to be played, it's a tactical shooter, it's just not the same game without a team, strategy, and defined roles in and out of the game.
the thing is, if you're good enough to be ascendant-immortal, you wouldn't be stuck in gold-plat, get better.
@@pretzel6057 I'm not good enough to be asc/immo. I'm good enough to play (and top frag) in full asc/immo lobbies with a team I trust and have practice with. Ranked and comp are 2 completely different games and it's not just valorant I have tier 2 experience in another eSport too. Of course I'm not good enough to be at a higher rank that's kinda the whole point of the ranked system.

@@pretzel6057 There's a lot of aspects, aim isn't a problem, consistency to some extent is. I get bored really quickly solo and performance suffers from that, especially if I have music on etc. another one is communication, having very specific call outs is impossible in ranked and everything is clouded and confusing. Trust in teammates is another one, I'm much more willing to take fights if I know I will be traded, this confidence also gives a huge boost to mechanics. Having set starts also allows you to have more wiggle room, never have to check some angles as you know they're covered by utility etc. Finally I think the biggest issue is that I don't really enjoy the game playing solo, I often find myself filling and playing stuff I'm not used to, having to account for variables i normally don't, and it even ends up being bad practice as I pick up habits that make me worse as a player.

D1 to asc1 is a higher skill gap than iron 3 to plat 1. The amount of skill you gajn from the time you are in diamond to ascendant is huge.

he doesnt deserve high rank, he rated fairly hes plat. What separates plat, diamond, ascendant from immo/radiant isnt aim, its game sense, gameplays, util usage and things along those lines. if you watch him, he only plays b long on defensive and only 1 flash, he doesnt take spaces or pushes here and there as duelist. On attacking, he doesnt even use his utils to get into site, he just walks into site without using his flashes or clones. Even lets be honest most of his kills are lucky spray down. And People have to accept that if u deserve high rank, you will be that high rank, and if you dont, you just simple arent deserving of that high rank, people just like to blame others other than themselves.
Good aimer but he only knows one set of plays for each position and he doesn't switch up his position or plays very much. You could see the other team adapting to his B flashes, playing anti-flash, etc after a few rounds.
That's definitely enough to get him immortal if he grinds enough, but he's going to need to develop a deeper playbook if he wants to go higher or get there with less grinding.

Also I've noticed his comms aren't very present. He doesn't set up a lot of plays with teammates and he doesn't ask them to set up his plays. He has good game sense and good follow up when his teammates do stuff, but I never saw a point where he made a specific call or set up a crossfire or a flash play off his own initiative.
This type of player will do well when he goes into ranked with other players who know their shit, and someone who is active on voice comms IGLing. But if his team lacks someone with a plan, or the only other duelist lurks mid every round while everyone else is scared to entry (very common in lower ranks), or some other common suboptimal ranked nonsense... then his good traits will not have much of a chance to shine, and he will basically be forced into taking ego duels every round.
