    🖥 Computer Editing Setup = 2019 27" imac upgraded with 40gb of ram: amzn.to/3i3Vk8I
    When I'm working away from home, I use a 2015 15" macbook pro with 16gb of ram - So you don't NEED the brand new fancy computer... It just speeds up the performance and snappiness of Lightroom so you're not waiting so long for previews to load or images to export etc.
    Recommended laptop:
    💻 13 inch S1 Macbook Pro $1249 USD

    The new S1 Macbook Air and S1 Macbook Pros are AMAZING for photo editing and Lightroom Performance, even with their base model options
    With the new M1 macbooks, 8gb RAM works. With any other machine, I'd recommend going with at least 16gb of ram and 512gb of storage if you can swing it.

      @@SignatureEdits Anytime man, I think giving praise when deserved is more than important!
      I thought about it for a second and now can't help but wonder. Usually these black (or grey) looks reach the result by using the CALIBRATION tool ( I think moving green primary almost all the way to +100) in conjunction with HSL sliders. A method Alen Palander uses for his "black & grey" moody desaturated pics. My question is what's your experience with going for this look using calibration? And why would you recommend either one way over the other?

      @@nickxplore4265 Interesting question! Can't say for sure because I'm not Alen and don't know exactly how he edits, but overall after playing with the calibration a lot, I'd see it more as a supplemental tool than the backbone for this style of edit.. Most of the heavy lifting is done by the HSL panel. That said, for a more subtle version of this effect (which is what Alen seems to be doing), combining a lighter version of the HSL adjustments and the calibration greens desaturated is a great effect!

    Hey there! Thanks for the tips on the style! I did grab your pack, and like it. I was wondering if you include the Lens Correction settings (turned off) in your presets, instead of just leaving it out completely. I have to go back and turn it on every time I apply one. So I went ahead and resaved all of your presets with everything except Lens Correction. Just wondering if that was intentional!

    Do you have a windows version of your presets? as I can only find the Mac ones.

    • @SignatureEdits
      @SignatureEdits  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Damien! Both Windows and Mac use the same format for presets - Newer versions of Lr all use .xmp, however older versions (4 years ago and beyond) all use .lrtemplate
      Im thinking your version of Lr is the latter? If so, check out the genesis presets which were made with the older version of Lr!

      I don't understand what you mean... But no, this will work for LR CC, Classic or LR Mobile just fine! The free preset is in DNG version so it's easy to use on all 3.
