    Much respect to a country named Iran (along with Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, Palestine and many others), the warrior of 90s and 2000s, in which no country in the world dared to take on the mighty USA. Times are changed now the US is a caricature of what once it was. Iran and many in the global south shall prevail-sooner than the imagination of the empire's dreams of getting back to its glory days.

    Have found Mr Marandi’s views/knowledge eye opening in the all his interviews-this one is no exception, thank you BT and RK for making this happen. Iranians are exceptionally smart people and for the Iranian Government to have him as part of their negotiating team for the JCPOA against the Western Imperialists must give them a lot of credibility and confidence that the Iranians will not be fooled by the lies and tricky tactics. All the best to Iran and may she succeed in the ongoing saga for the nuclear deal.

      Iran should develop nuclear weapons and stop trying to make deals with the west who are incapable of upholding their part of any agreement. You cannot negotiate or deal with such deceitful snakes as the US who think they have the right to break any deal.
      The nuclear deterrence is the only way to keep your country safe from US aggression.

    This is unrelated, but often times I hear critics criticize the US state for losing wars as if winning the war was their goal. In Afghanistan the Taliban actually offered to lose but the US didn't want to win. They just wanted two decades of dirty war. The US state, or blob, measures winning by market control and amount of bombs dropped and amount of economies destroyed or plundered. That is it. This is the military technocratic power that made clear to the world that it cannot be guilty of war crimes or crimes against humanity. It will attack Brussels if the war crimes court ever attempted to charge the US state. If you were to go state by state in NATO, what is the US policy of global financial warfare and brainwashing doing to each of the NATO countries?

    • @gs8099
      @gs8099 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure, a war based economy where the entire administration and Congress are hostage to war industries, their defense contractors + other vulture oil/gas corporates, their role is to create an enemy, generate fear and spread it through their market driven media, then move on to initiate wars/proxy wars in the interest of those mentioned predators, else they won't let them stay in power!

    Looking behind I don't see what iranians have to gain by doing a deal. I mean to enter into the so called global economy when so many things are changing. The iranian economy ended up being more robust after the sanctions, Iran has a fairly diversified economy and entering the "global economy " would mean products from the outside would be allowed to be poured into the economy affecting local industries.

    In conclusion to Mr. Marandi's points, that the goal of the untrustworthy US (including its marionettes) has never been an agreement, raises the question of why the hell did Iran agree to the JCPOA at all? And for that matter, why is Iran still in the NPT?
    (The result of Iran continuing to implement a broken agreement for more than a year not only proves that Iran is trustworthy, it also proves that Iranian decision - makers are completely stupid. Being reliable to the extent of stupidity is not positive!)

    When it comes to the JCPOA, the US is doing the same to Iran as it makes Zelensky do when come to negotiations with Russia. There is no intent or urgency for resolution. The most important event was when the JCPOA negotiations were put on hold while Iran went to Moscow. Whatever was decided there is the true resolution. The JCPOA is all but dead.

Now you talk to a representative of the criminal theocratic regime of Iran right at a time when people of Iran are in the streets fighting against this brural regime for their livelihood and rights and freedoms. I am sorry, but shame on you.

      @@Therealhamidreza then you must be very isolated or not wanting to see what is happening these days in Abadan, Andimeshk, Behbahan, Khorramshar, and other cities in Khuzestan, and also in Isfahan after the collapse of the Metropole building. Perhaps you were busy chanting "Salam Farmandeh" (Heil Leader) in Azadi stadium!
      I am guessing you haven't heard about 96 and 98 nationwide street protests which were brutally crushed and hundreds of people were killed. Or the ongoing nationwide strikes of the teachers, pensioners, and oil and sugarcane workers. I won't go over the atrocities of the past 4 decades. The US imperialism doesn't like anything better than such an anti-people and West oriented regime in that region which is adamantly following neoliberal policies of the IMF. They perfectly fit. From top to bottom the Iranian leaders and their intellectuals pursue privatization, deregulation, labour suppression, and "free market" policies and are begging to join the global capitalist market. Looks like BT has been fooled by the lip service and empty anti-American slogans of the Islamic reactionary regime of Iran. So naïve!

      @@JoseGarcia-vx4bd Nobody is denying that the sanctions cause harm, that's what they are for. But if you're going to oppose imperialism you prepare your economy for it, similarly to what the DPRK and Russia did. If these moronic Ayatollahs (the religious mafia) didn't privatize the Iranian economy, follow IMF economic programs and allow rampant corruption going on, Iran would handle the sanctions far better.
