The very rich texture of the wood. How is it after 1 year? Does it feel too busy?
I got a bamboo hardwood floor. About to start installing it on my second floor over 1/4" cork underlayment. I like your point about a professional attitude VS an owner. When I build my home I feel like a busy beaver building my hut. When a contractor comes to the site. They're there to make a buck. They definitely prioritize speed. They want to be in'n out, with a check.

The hard end of the hammer is for the nailer. The soft end is for the wood.

Everywhere i read it says you should never pierce cork therefore you shouldnt nail floors over cork. Have you had any problems with it since? I really wanted cork underlayment for the same reasons you said so was wondering how it held up. Thanks
