Nice video, mate. Commenting from Nothing Phone 1. I am glad to see how Nothing changed their design approach dominated by the glyph lighting in phone 1 to a minimum in 2a. While design is subjective, I do like their approach.
I hope they continue to work on improving their user experience in this mundane market.

No lag in the normal usage. You can experience it for deeper work but nothing intolerable :)

Just bought Nothing Phone 2A and using Iphone 13 too , i Really hate its BGMI Gaming , Tall Screen Aspect Ratio and PPI , But other than that Phone is Cool.

As someone who switches around here and there often between the two motherships, I too get off-put by the lack of cohesiveness over on the Android side. But all's not well on the other side either, often. Cus I mean I'd rather deal with that type of inconsistency personally than be bugged by the dynamically inconsistent handling of the "back" button/task/toggle over in iOS land. That, and the weird foot-down stance on T9 dialing and other "expected" gap-bridgers make being on either side be their own flavor of bothersome.
Absolutely, I completely agree! Both Android and iOS have their strengths and weaknesses. While Android may lack cohesiveness at times, iOS has its own inconsistencies, especially with the handling of the ‘back’ button. It’s all about finding the platform that best suits your needs and preferences.
4:45 hi im using the np2a, and theres an icon pack made by nothing that can be installed on the playstore and when you apply it, it essentially forces any app to have the black and white theme. Nice video.

Nothing phone 2 is faster than iPhone in practical world even tho apple is way more powerful on paper. However, if one wants to do videography, choose iphone, it's another league.

I think I understand your nitpicks with the app designs. Like many apps are having wildly different design languages, and it'll be really tough to do your work as fast as you would want to.

You were the only video in a very long time who spoke about the inconsistency of how android works.
Yes I'm saying that coming from being an android user for 7yrs and it's for 2.
Now rocking a s23 and prior a pixel 6 pro, I missed the material themeing to well effectively sometimes.
The lockscreen animations I loved there didn't exist here.
I'm not saying they are bad but sometimes the keyboard doesn't sync right to the colors. So I am with you on this.

Yes, it's true! It's difficult at the moment to buy all the flagships by myself. That's why I opted for the Nothing Phone. Anyway, I'm not comparing these two devices, but only the software, to understand and find differences between iOS and Android.
It does not make any sense to switch from a flagship (15 pro) to a medium range. At least you should had switched to a pixel 8 pro or a Samsung 24 Ultra. Nothing brand is not the equivalent of iphone for android, far from it.

You covered really well one of the biggest android problems. Well, of course, it's not a real issue, expecially if talking about phones with the NP2A price range, but the fact is that android flagship phones shares this kind of problems with lower range phones, and that's bad.

I purchased this phone myself and genuinely created a review because I'm passionate about tech stuff, not just Apple products. I invest my money in items I believe are worth discussing. Additionally, I've posted the purchase invoice on X. Regardless, even if Nothing had sent me the phone, I would never provide false information but only my honest experience with it :)

Nice video but I don't see any reason why an android app should look the same as an iPhone app just because you use an iPhone. You will get acclimatized once you use it for sometime
Maybe I explained it wrong! I didn't mean to say Android and iOS should be the same. The point I was trying to make is that, in general, Android apps don't adhere to any kind of guidelines, so everything is more left to the developers of each individual app. This results in a less cohesive and coherent experience throughout the system. Anyway, this is something I noticed coming from iPhone because I believe there are more guidelines on iOS that app developers have to follow. Thanks for the feedback!
