    Jerry, who, shall we say, had a pretty enormous ego, was such a good sport in this sketch. Tho', we have such horrible accusations against him now sexually (sorry woke people-how many in the past would not) I am amazed at his willingness here to make fun of himself...

    I am sure Jerry had a great time with this SNL crew, it's obvious. This tape was dated 10/2013. i am sure this gig with SNL was the most fun Jerry ever had for the next 8 years. You can tell be the way he interacts with the cast, as he can clearly see they all have their act together. He is so comfortable and happy with this crew. All Jerry has to do is breath the air here guys. We miss you Jerry. DD

    • @FabTeeVee
      @FabTeeVee 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      No. It aired 11/19/1983, not 2013 (he was much older in 2013). This was in his 'French Period', as he made 2 movies in France at the time. They were never released in the US, but were shown many times on TVA (Quebec, Canada).

      Honestly, Jerry Lewis did not like being imitated in this way. I had a career in the theater in New York City back in the 1950s thru the 70s and was around Jerry Lewis in person on several occasions; I love this man and revere his work greatly, but at times he was frankly very unpleasant, mean, arrogant, and obnoxious. Unfortunately, I have a particularly bad memory of how he just about ruined the entire show, and of the audience gasping and booing him at the Capitol Theater in NYC. Usually, any attempt to imitate Jerryby someone in his presence did not go very well at all, because he became instantly irritated; the following is just but one example: th-cam.com/video/QKcHQofRXKs/w-d-xo.html
