    This is incredible work! May I ask, how are you able to adjust the filter cutoff on the synths if they are also being step sequenced melodically (which would require the Ctrl knob set to Coarse)? Did you pre-sequence them on the System 8 and import them as a loop?

    • @ThomasPosen
      @ThomasPosen ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can change what the control knob adjusts. So you program them with course, then change to filter cutoff.

    By chaining the variation pattern on the left, you can make your step sequencer longer (more than 16 steps)...? Isnt it ? Thats the way you make the synth melody ? And you can change the pattern in live. Do you pitch the synth yourself ?

    soundin flawless , you did a great job gattobus ! One question , does the TR 8 save samples so you can load them when you turn on or does it have to be manually patched again?

  • @ericloizeau8834

    Very cool track and programming ! How do you manage this changing polyphonic chords ? (my TR8-S is coming soon...;-) Best regards from France.

    •  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Je me pose la meme question. As til pitcher lui mm un sample pour obtenir la melodie...? Après Je vois bien que les 8 pattern de variation sont mis en chaine.

    Love this! Question? How would you go about playing this live? Do you have different presets for each song? Are you able to trigger different sections with the A, B, C buttons, or another way?
    I've been wanting a sampler to use live and was considering the SP404A until I saw this thing and it seems more intuitive to me. I just wanna be able to play a full hour-3 hour set with whatever I get.

    • @Renzsu

      Hah, I was wondering the same thing when I watched his Moderat cover and now I see all these people asking the same question here. Glad I'm not the only one :)
      edit: just learned from a comment of his here that it's called pattern variations that can be programmed on the device.

      It's to fuck with DJs that just autosync. Pretty sure he has confirmed this at some point, several years back.

    • @Chadlloydchad
      @Chadlloydchad 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @V`cent
      This makes no sense. How would using an oddball BPM make any difference when your hitting a sync button. It's gonna sync to whatever it's at regardless.

    • @Vcen7
      @Vcen7 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Chad lloyd if you're relying on sync, then your set would unravel if you hit a song like that. Not just because of the oddball tempo, but because of various small things added, or entirely wrong tempos.
      The idea is to make the sync algorithm incapable of keeping time, so the song will drift as you try to mix it. If you know what you're doing then you can compensate, but if you're auto-sync "DJing" then you're in for a bad time. I'm not saying that it always works, but some of his songs come up as quite strange bpms if you're ananylising them, instead of just listening.

      PaK Deville this is completely unmixed audio straight out of the drum machine. Most, like 98% of drum samples sold today are made from drum machines/synths that have been EQd, compressed, distorted to hell and back. Its all about the processing to make those massive booming kicks.

    • @xdeville1
      @xdeville1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      no dude, you can adjust enough on the maschine. also on that kick. i know drummaschine enough. with that tr8/tr8s you can do nearly every kick. i think it was just a bit lazy edited and mixed by yourself : D but all around nice jam dude

    • @xdeville1
      @xdeville1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      i mean.. this is a straight 909 kick. but today for this style is the kick a bit more softer or something. but its just my thought
