I’m old enough now to have reached the point where I don’t like the look of most new cars and spend my time fantasizing about older cars, the cars of my youth. That said I do enjoy these videos because there’s always some older eye Candy on display

TME Evo 6 takes me back I had one in the early 2000's black with the white wheels . The worst mistake I made was modifying it to 754hp and making it useless for day to day driving . But a brilliant car out the box
Do it! A well sorted one will rival the 996 3RS (bold statement I know) but drive one and then tell me I’m wrong. The one to get to drive and for long term investments would be a 9 MR400, if you can get a HKS one even better.

Some good buys to be had with the JDM cars, especially with the USA 25 year rule nudging some of the hero cars up the market. Probably no money to be made as all the clout chaser Americans jumped that gun but it will bring alternative models up I’m sure. Just don’t buy a RX7
As for Evo v Subaru The Evo has a ridiculous service schedule BUT can be solid, the Subaru’s can be a bit fragile especially in the bottom end and gearbox. As for skylines, massively overpriced now thanks to the American hype and too many company’s out there trawling Japan looking for the holy grail models to fling to a American “numbers matching only 500 in this colour on that month with this interior” kind of guy. But with all the passion for the cars I think the less desirable models and offshoots will do well for those that can’t play with hundreds of thousands. Kei cars are getting bigger and bigger over here and stateside right now, bit of a laugh but not much for content or investment unless you get something like a AZ1 (especially since liberty walk just modified one to look like a f40) I can see you in something like a v12 Toyota century lording it about Keep an eye on the Toyota Crowns and other variants with the 1jz / 2jz power plant, now people are priced out of the S chassis stuff and the chasers are all being drifted these things are coming up. Personal choice, would have to be the Lexus is350f or something along those lines , Maybe one of the wild Koenig kitted cars I keep seeing at the Tokyo auto salon auction
