"I didn't know they had anime about sports!" Lol, not only are there anime about sports (a personal favorite of mine is "Hajime no Ippo" a boxing anime) but there's _multiple_ anime that are specifically about high school boys volleyball!
@@k8ndall606 boxing anime: 1. Hajime no Ippo (classic/legendary boxing anime) // one of the longest tv airing-running anime 2. Megalo Box (some people like it, but I found it really generic, dull, and boring, nothing really impressive with it, but that's just me and my opinion) ------------- unarmed martial art anime: 1. Grappler Baki (seasons 1, and season 2: tournament) + Baki 2018 (season 3: another "tournament", but it's a bit different, lol) + Baki 2019/2020 + Baki 2021/2022 2. History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi (~50 episodes, I think) (+OVA sequel of 12 or 24 episodes): it's like Baki in that it starts out kinda slow (again school punks / nobodies, and then kicks up to the real fights and badass characters, it's a really good martial art anime. Unlike Baki, Kenichi starts out as a normal student, not knowing any martial arts at all and hates violence and fighting... but he becomes really powerful MA fighter, grins) 3. Tenjou Tenge: really good MA anime with a really good story/plot... basically it was about trying to see or create who is the ultimate warrior: taijutsu (physical) vs ninjutsu (magical) martial artist // if you seen any of naruto... should be familiar to you... but there's a lot of other stuff going on, too... grins 4. Ikkitousen (5 seasons of it): it's basically the 3 kingdoms historical figures getting reincarnated over and over again, doomed to keep reliving their history/fates, except... most of them are reincarnated into females... and it's a fighting-school setting... it's really quite brutal... despite being girls, they're vessels/avatars for male warriors, so they love to fight, not caring at all about their female bodies (lots of fanservice, lol)... 5. Medaka Box (+2nd season: Abnormal): while this starts off as seemingly a fanservice anime, it's really not.. there's a lot of martial arts in it, so it's hard to decide whether this is a martial arts anime or an anime with martial arts in it, as it has some other deep themed content in it too. Medaka Kurokami has to copy/mimic humans in order to fit in as a human, as she's not human, she's a god-monster... She's literally the female Goku, and beyond... She doesn't merely go into super saiyan mode or ultra instinct mode, she goes into warrior god mode... The only reason there's fanservice, in Medaka's own words (well, paraphrasing): "I am sexy and beautiful, why would I deny others from enjoying the beautiful and sexy sight of my body? I have nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about", lol. It gets much darker and much more brutal, but the beginning is a lot of fanservice comedy... being introduced to Medaka Kurokami... but there's a big story and plot taking place... that slowly gets revealed... 6. Naruto (+Shippuuden, +Boruto): while not really a martial art anime, it's got so much martial arts and so insanely good martial arts, I'm putting it here anyways, lol 7. Moribito: Guardian of the Sacred Spirit (Balsa, and her teacher, are fkn insane spear users... fkn most badass spear combat/choreography of all time! Balsa's so badass. Balsa is pretty much the female Kenshin, she's killed so many men, now she's trying to save the same number of lives that she's killed... yikes... lol, that's more than a lifetime of redemption... lol. This is really an amazing anime with really good graphics and music as well as awesome fights, though there's actually only a few fight scenes, they're really good. The main story/plot is kinda lame, as it deals with stupid supernatural stuff, but learning about Balsa is really it's real story/plot, lol) 6. Ga-Rei: Zero: it's all about Yomi, she's damn good with a sword, grins. Not a martial art anime, but I'm putting it here anyways, because the swordsmanship martial arts is such a big part of this anime, especially Yomi, grins 7. Blood+ (and Blood C: just for the fighting only): this is also not really a martial art anime, but the swordsmanship of Saya, is why I'm putting it here anyways, Saya is "the samurai girl", as a character will call her, lol (actually he calls her "the samurai man" for quite a while, not knowing its a she, lol). This is an epic science anime, but it starts off seemingly like a horror anime, but it's not a horror anime at all... but it takes awhile to get into the main story and plot, where it explodes... it's 50 episodes... one of the best animes of all time, but no one knows or it anymore, sighs 8. Highschool of the Dead: I'm putting this here too, as it's got lots of martial arts, even though it's not a martial arts anime, Saeko Busujima's swordsmanship alone, is all we need, grins. Saeko is so fkn badass, grins
Judging an anime by the song alone is one of the biggest mistakes one could make. Good animes have had bad or forgettable openings, while popular or well made songs don't relate to a good story. Going out of our confort zones is the only way to find something new and interesting.
There are also songs people generally like, for anime people generally like, that don't really match the vibe at all. Erased is a fantastic anime and Re:Re: is a good song. Re:Re: is upbeat. Erased is a somewhat dark mystery anime. You only see the connection if you know the lyrics, which are bittersweet.
And last but not least I’m gonna recommend some openings that are so underrated. You can make videos with a bunch of random openings, especially for shows that have only one. Deadman Wonderland Opening Dark Gathering Opening Zom 100 Opening Version 2 (has improved visuals since the studio had to scrape some more money to improve it it was their first ever anime, an incredible success too) A wild card here it’s a softer song but it’s so good Chobits Opening Baccano Opening Golden Kamuy Opening 4
One piece is one of the most goofy serious animes. It tackles some heavy themes, but it's super goofy and somehow they make it work. Idk how they do it
What I have heard of one piece is yes it gets serious however as someone who couldn’t get through 15 episodes of the over 1000 episodes one piece has, read the manga it’ll go faster. Haven’t read it yet but it’s considered one of the best manga/anime ever.

If you want to check out some anime that are an easy entry point for beginners, but still very good. Check out one-punch man(it's a literal boss rush of fights with comedy), fullmetal alchemist brotherhood(probably one of the best anime) and deathnote(there's next to no fighting in this one, but it's intense ass hell).
