2001 (16th) Gemini Awards - Earle Grey Award Presentation to Jackie Burroughs

In 2001, Jackie Burroughs was honoured, at the Gemini Awards (Canada's version of the Emmys), with the Earle Grey Award, given annually to someone with a significant body of work in Canadian television and/or someone who has contributed to its international profile with great significance. It was presented by her 'Road to Avonlea' and 'Last Night' co-star Sarah Polley.

I've loved J.B. since I saw A Winter Tan in the 80's and ever since then I've tried to watch every scrap of film I can find with her on it. She's one of the most brave, bold and ballsy Canadian women we've ever had the privilege of watching. What a fitting tribute and speech. Thanks so much!
