  • In this video I explain my perspective on what spending more money gets you when it comes to hand wrenches. I believe spending the extra cash on Snap-On Flank Drive Plus wrenches is worth it. There are a lot of tools I would choose not to buy from Snap-On but when it comes to wrenches they have the best in my opinion. This video explains why their wrenches are best. Please check my channel out for more tool related videos.

I am pretty certain Wright Tools made the wrenches with the teeth first. Snap-on followed up. That is based off my research from a fee years ago.

Thanks for comment. It's always hard to track down the true original. Snap-on was definitely the first time I saw it but it def wouldn't surprise me if it was Wright tools who did it first. I wonder how much different the tips of an original Wright wrench would be from what snappy does today? Thanks again for the info, if I have some time I'll do some digging.

Very nice. In a different type of fastener remover have you ever tried the rocket sockets? They've saved me a few times on an extremely Rusty 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis I live in Cape cod so between the winters and the salt on the roads and then the salt from the ocean the guy that I got it from 14 years half a block from the ocean with no trees or anything protecting the wind from blowing the salt are in riding out the entire frame. And everything else that's metal underneath. The body looks great until you look at it underneath you like ooh boy not good. It's so bad I don't dare take it to an inspection station anymore because I know they're going to probably quarantine it and say you cannot drive this vehicle anymore and I'm not in the market for a new one yet. So rocket sockets it is however I'm looking at some coke and sockets and wrenches that look pretty similar to these. When I'm really blown away is with the back drag of my newest two ratchets which are Koken 1/4 and 3/8. They really put to shame my third newest ratchet which is a small set from Bacho. You can put these things out at a 90° angle and they stay there unless you start bouncing it in your hand. Where is the Koken you can't even move and have it to go up at all it just stays straight down when you try to twist it it's incredible. I am definitely looking for a set of wrenches and might consider getting these snap-on thanks to you for costing me all this money😂😂. Thanks for your informative video

Thanks for watching! I'll look into those rocket sockets for sure. I have never seen them. In my opinion....You can never go wrong spending money on tools! I live a little north....In NH. We might not have the sea salt but they sure put it down on the roads, HEAVY. I know the rusty feeling. Lol. I have a pretty rotten 2012 Honda accord I'm saving now. Hopefully will have some great videos for you guys soon. The snap-on wrenches are wonderful. I'm sure there are cheaper comparable tools at this point. Everyone likes a snap-on... Just their price is sometimes hard to digest. Thanks again for giving the vid a watch. Stay well. Happy DIY.
