    They do look like novelty but at least don’t look cheap. I’d probably say the measurement tools are the best. Measurement tools are one of those EDC items that people should carry. I’m surprised at how often I need to measure small things and I can’t.

      Honestly only a SAK knife and scissor gets more use from me. I’m constantly finding myself measuring angles and distances. Measuring tools are something the EDC community definitely sleeps on

    there's some great stuff coming out of Ukraine - BPS Knives. first learned about them from Jorge Spraeve (Slingshot Channel) and have since bought 4 of them. their mini kiridashi is my daily wear neck knife and i use it almost as much as the Bibury multitools i've bought. MRF sounds like a next shopping stop for me.

    Great video, once again, MAX. The gadgetry, aka EDC items that we are all interested in, come in all shapes, sizes, thicknesses and designs. What may be worthless or, on the other hand, very useful to others is exactly that. I watch edc reviews quite often and take the good with the not so good or interesting to me. Negative comments don't seem necessary. These items seemed like they could actually be useful, depending on a number of unique situations. After all, they are edc, not edu (every day use). Prices seem realistic as well. Thanks for the review.

    Their designers sure get a lot of tools in a little space! Can't wait for further review.... One of the first tools I remember like this, that is still available... is the Survco Credit Card Ax..... in 304 stainless steel. A USA made, Veteran owned Company, that also makes a neat paracord watch band.

      Hello . Thank you.
      We use different materials in our instruments. where there are wrenches, screwdrivers, a hatchet, a knife, this is 440c hardened stainless steel or the most durable titanium - grade 5

    These things look very much like survival tools for pilots or soldiers who have to conduct exfiltration from enemy territory Especcially the fishing hooks and the measurement tools.
    They are also very light and flat is always good, to prevent damage when you fall on the tool.
    The first one looks like it is made for a marksman to measure distance to target.

    I'm thinking the flag one is oriented to look like it's charging into battle in the direction of the blade

    I'm debating on weather to get one the only thing I'm not sure if I like is that it has a replaceable exacto type blade and a regular blade personally I'm a fan of replaceable blades in a multitool. I don't know what they went with a second blade.

    Late to the video, but i believe the American flag tool is in the "battle" or "charging" orientation, if you imagine holding a flag on a pole and running towards something.

    I have an MRF Smartruler 2.1, and it's very useful (I keep it in an Oberon Design leather cardholder with a card from Lever Gear). It's come in handy more than once, and it's certainly easy to carry.
    It looks like it's had a upgrade to version 3.0, though I like the direction the Lifestyle Designer took. I'll have to see about ordering one or the other.

    • @AndriiGurskyi
      @AndriiGurskyi หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We have updated Smartruler 2.1 to the Designer model.
      We took into account new trends, removed the holder for the headphones, so now they are all wireless.
      Smartruler 3.0 - became Professional

    Correct me if I’m mistaken but I believe the stars on the flag always “lead the charge” so the blade being the front of the tool places the stars in the correct direction even though it seems backwards. You can see that the stars are on the same end on both sides.

    Points for all the interesting things packed into this. Deduct points for no information about the quality of the steel for the knife blade. Also Version 3.0 looks like using it for anything other than a survival axe you'll cut yourself trying to use the other tools. So no thanks. But thank you for showing us these things.

    that set with the pliers thingy is $130
    a bit too expensive for me...
    IMO if you tried to get on a plane with any of these, the TSA would confiscate!

  • @LarryGarfieldCrell
    @LarryGarfieldCrell หลายเดือนก่อน

    My issue with the card cutout tools is they're single use. That makes them much less interesting. The measuring cards are more appealing, but I have to wonder how actually useful they are at that small size. I do woodworking as a hobby, and I don't know why I'd use the cards instead of proper sized tools. Or why I'd need a precision protractor in an EDC...
