Karen , you are a am teacher ! Thank You for sharing all the great information about cross stitching . I have learned so much from you . I look forward to each video from you . Have a wonderful day .
Thank you so much for the education on Lugana vs Jobelan. It was very informative. I also appreciated your tip on keeping track of the items in multiple orders as that has tripped me up in the past. Your Live on Little is absolutely stunning! Can’t wait to see it framed.
Great video. I love your collection of linen. Your finish of Live on Little and the Blackbird Winter were both so beautiful. I enjoy stitching 1 over 1 on Lugana also.
Hi Sherry, thanks so much for your nice note, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I didn't think I would like stitching one over one on Lugana as much as I did. So glad I tried it. Now to decide what is next. Thanks again for your note! 🙂
Hi Marilyn, Thanks so much! I wondered about the Needleprint design chart. I haven't seen it before . . . now I know why. Thank you for letting me know. Thanks for your note! 🙂
So lovely to have another episode from you, filled with so much goodness! Your finishes are beautiful, you certainly have earned a new start! I myself find kitting up projects my favourite activity. Then, when I have a bad day, I have a fossick through my stash! Starting is always hard, as it's so difficult to choose what beauty to do next. Btw, I also ordered the WDW for Charlotte.
So glad you enjoyed the video. I'm right there with you, seems kitting is a favorite activity I've started. 😉 I also enjoy going through the kitted charts and trying to decide which to do next. Hard not to start too many. Aren't the WDW beautiful for Charlotte?!? What a lovely sampler. Thanks for your nice note, I appreciate it so much. 🙂
Almost forgot to share…I too had problems remembering what each order was for from 123 Stitch so I started adding comments for me in their Notes box on the order form. They may get a laugh when they see it but I appreciate that they print and send the form with the order!
Your 2 finishes are lovely. You've selected some beautiful future projects. LOVE the idea of the kraft floss drops with the color number banding and the small pic of the project chart. Maybe we'll see you soon.
Hi Karen, I agree the last Tudor Rose meeting was wonderful. All about Sudbury House. Never knew that it existed. I have always wanted to stitch The Shores of Hawk Run Hollow. It's on my wish list. Can't wait to see your progress on it.
Hi Sherry, it was a nice meeting and I learned so much! I'm just starting to outline the boxes on Shores. That will take awhile, but will be good to get it done. I do love that series so much. Thanks so much for your note! 🙂
I wanted to share a tip I learned from a stitchy Gma 50 years ago. Your own spit will get out your own blood stain on fabric! Came in really handy last week when I pricked myself & bled right on the middle of a project! 😮
Loves seeing all your stitching. Thanks for sharing. BTW. When you are ordering in 123stitch in the checkout section there is a place where you can add instructions. I usually have them add a note what the items are for. It works wonders. The order comes with a little post it note saying what it’s for. I think it is also on your receipt you get emailed.
Hi Teresa, so glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for your nice note! You are right, many beautiful charts to pick from. . . now to decide which is next in line. Harder than I thought it would be. 🙂
Hi Karen, thanks so much for all your sampler info in the flosstube and in your excellent notes! I've noted a couple things I *must* have. See you at the QCSG program in May. 🪡
Hi Kathy, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for your note! Love On Little was quite a project, but I really loved working on it. Lots of fill-in, that’s for sure. 🙂 Thanks again for your note.
Welcome back! It was so great to see your video pop up! Thank you for sharing all your wonderful stitching, haul, & gifts. Your “Live on Little” is just gorgeous!! Thank you so much for showing the linen side by side so we can see! It really helps when you have to order!! Again thanks for a fabulous video!!💖✨💫💝
Thanks, Shelia! So glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah, this one was pretty full of enabling . . . I’m a little overwhelmed by all of it at the moment. Need to take a moment and see just what I want to start next, so many lovely things to choose from. Thanks again! 🙂
Thank you for the shout out! It’s always fun to see people you recognize in web world! I really enjoyed the TRSG presentations, although I was dealing with a little learning curve getting used to using zoom on my phone! 🤦🏻♀️ Congrats on your finishes! Live On Little is on my wish list. It seems that you and I enjoy the kitting up process as I have accumulated quite the collection myself. I have in-laws in Ocala and can’t want till our next visit so I can go to Brick City. Idk if I will be able to convince my husband to stop in Gainesville though. Great Flosstube, as usual, I always look forward to yours! See ya around the interwebs, friend! 😊
Hi Renee! It was fun to be in the meeting with you! I haven't done Zoom on my phone, I would have a learning curve with that as well. I have my "ZOOM" studio that we set up for my teaching and when I was away in January, I did Zoom on my laptop . Haven't tried on my phone yet. Victorian Rose is a small shop, but filled with so many goodies. It is inside a building that almost looks like an office building. I wasn't sure I was in the right place until I saw a small sign outside and went in. So much to look at! I hope you are able to stop. I also enjoyed my visits to Brick City. I made a day of visiting both and then stopped for a late lunch before driving back to our rental. It was a fun day. Thanks so much for your note! 🙂
Karen, So good to see you again, you were sorely missed! Happy that you had lots of stitching (& shopping) time while you were gone. Thank you for sharing all your new Stash and Congratulations on the beautiful finish of Live On Little. Have a great week & see you again soon! xoxo
Hi Barbara, thanks so much! We did have a good time while we were gone and now we are glad to be back home. So glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your nice note. I appreciate it so much! 🙂
So good to see you. I love all your purchases . I stitched Lydia on 36 Alcott. Such a fun stitch! I am hoping to get to Brick City. I live 2 hours away.
Hi Patty, so glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for your note! Lydia on Alcott must be lovely! Such a pretty sampler. Thanks again for your note!
Your Live on Little is beautiful. Your month in Fla sounds like so much fun with the stitch groups. Maybe someday we will meet since I am in North Georgia. I’ve yet to be to an L N S or retreat. It’s nice to have something to look forward to at 70.
Hi Ann, thanks so much for your nice note, I appreciate it so much! I've heard of a small shop opening in North Georgia, it is inside an Antique mall. if I can find the name, I will post it for you. 🙂
I have just recently started watching flosstube. Thank you for the explanation on the fabrics. I have just started stitching again since becoming an empty-nester. So much has changed over the last 25 years!
Hi Cindy, So glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful You are right, so much has changed. . . it's a whole new world! Thanks so much for your note! 🙂
Hi, Karen. It's so good to see you again. I've missed you. I hope you enjoyed your trip. I absolutely love all the items you purchased and received! Such beautiful patterns, cloth, and threads . I hope to travel to different cross-stitch shops soon.Your finished pieces were so lovely. I'll be looking forward to seeing you soon. Have a great week.
Hi there! I just found your channel! 😊I kept hearing you refer to The Shepherds Needle! It took a couple of times for it to register, then I wondered how many LNSs out there were named that! 😂 Curiosity got the best of me so I checked your description box! It's the same place - That's my LNS! Small world! 🙃
Karen, I did it! I was intrigued with your suggestion to stitch 1over1 on lugana so I picked up 25 ct mushroom and started Three Tulips by Brenda Gervais. Was worried about the dense stitching in the urn and bunny but it’s not bad on 25. Thanks for the motivation to try something new😘
So happy to see you back..your finishes are just beautiful…you inspired me to pick up my live on little..I just love your videos ..I always learn something..what a gift you have I your quilting and cross stitch..I look forward to your next video
Hi Karen! What a wonderfully flosstube packed with so much goodness! The flower frog is such a great idea and your find is beautiful! Your “Live On Little” is a stunner! I love seeing your finish having seen it in progress at the HH retreat. And “Winters Past” is so pretty - and 1x1! In years past, I did some samplers on lugana 1x1 when my eyes were much better. And, after seeing yours, I’m inspired to try it again. I love that Emma Styles sampler! And Lydia Cohagen was part of Country Sampler’s “Threads of History” club in 2022 and recently released. I finished her early last year and put my paternal grandmother’s name and birthdate on it…I love it. Will send you a pic of it. And, I love the Kraft tag idea! Thank you so much for sharing everything with us… my wish list has increased, yet again!
Thanks, Georgia! So glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for the information about Lydia Cogahan. I wondered about its release. I love your idea of the personalization. Thanks again for your lovely comments. I appreciate it so much. 🙂
Hi Karen, thank you for your lovely videos and encouragement. I have lived in Florida all my life so am very familiar with the places you have visited. I have just started cross stitch again after many years and am a little frustrated stitching with linen. I guess I should have tried even weave. I do have it now but only in white. The few patterns I purchased are for Christmas and have a lot of snow that would not show up. I am trying to "sew in hand" - we'll see. I will look for a embroidery group in my area, thanks for suggesting. For Christmas I gifted myself the "DMC Stranded Cotton Shade Card - W100B" in real thread for less than $37. from Amzn. I searched for this item for years and it was tricky to find. Happy stitching 🤗
So glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for your nice note! Your DMC card sounds wonderful! What a treat to have one with actual floss. 🙂 I would give Evenweave a try. I found it very easy to work on, even stitching over one. You can stitch over two threads as well. Give it a try and let me know what you think about it. 🙂
Great to see you back! Thanks for explaining evenweave, Lugana, and Jobelan so well. I really appreciate how thoroughly you explain things. I have a small piece of Jobelan that I picked up with a Prairie Schooler Santa in mind but I’ll try a little experimentation with some over 1 stitching on it, too! Congratulations on your “Live on Little” finish, it’s beautiful.
Thanks, Jackie! So glad you enjoyed the video. 🙂 Doing the Prairie Schooler over 1 sounds so cute. Let me know what you think as you work on it. Thanks so much for your note. 🙂
I really loved the "Live on Little" finish. I've seen it before while perusing 123stitch and it seemed interesting having grown up near the shore of Lake Huron. (The sailboat brought to mind the Mackinac sail boat races held every July.) I now live not far from the Chesapeake Bay in metro Washington DC so sail boats are not a novelty. Seeing your beautiful finish made me to decide to get that chart. There's something about seeing the real thing even via video that is better than a little thumb picture online. I certainly enjoyed the line-up of fabric acquisitions. Gorgeous every one. I'll have to listen again to catch all the names. I have an awful head cold at the moment so between the unavoidable crackle of plastic wraps and my head, I couldn't make out all the names.
Hi Sandy, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for your note! I agree about seeing Live on Little on screen. It really is a beautiful design. I can't remember the names of the linen and I've arealy put them away, I'm so soory. I do believe one of them was Heartland, but can't remember the count. If I remember to, I will try to show the name tag (if there is one). That will help with the name as I show them. Thanks again for your note! 🙂
I am new to your flosstube. I will be back. Your 2 finishes are beautiful and very inspiring to me. I haven’t had much experience in cross stitch except for the more basic dimensions kits. I am now very interested in the different patterns, floss and fabric available. I hope I don’t have any expensive lessons to learn.😅
Hi Linda, so glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for your nice note! There are so many patterns, linens/evenweavea, flosses available now. It is amazing! Thanks again for your note! 🙂
Karen, glad to see all the nice stuff you bought. Could you address the idea of what is aida friendly ( meaning patterns) I want to stitch everything, but I am an aida stitcher. ❤
Hi Martha, so glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for your nice note! I believe most patterns can be stitched on Aida as long as they don’t have specialty stitches. (And I believe even some specialty stitches could still be done on Aida. ) In my next FlossTube, I will pull some that would be a good Aida stitch and some that might not be as good. Great question! 🙂
Just lovely finishes and shares. Thanks 2 questions though, while preparing your 2024 book of stitching where did you get those wonky letters for finishes and wip titles? Also you prepared cut lengths of floss on your wimding boards, where did you get or how did you make them please share,,! Thanks-a new subscriber.
Hi Eileen, so glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your nice note. These are great questions, I’ll be taping a new floss tube in a few days and will answer your questions there if you don’t mind. I can tell you the winding board is from RNR Woodworks in Kentucky. Here’s a direct link: www.rnrwoodworksky.com Thanks again. 🙂
Thank you for the evenweave discussion - that was very helpful! I, too, have been frustrated trying to track purchases to the correct kit. Wish that was a feature in the XStitch Plus app but until they listen to us I will print my order like you do. Can I join you on the Uffindell sisters in March?? I have them kitted with most of the Soie d’Alger silks and hope to find the rest when I visit Keepsakes later this month. Do you prefer a scroll frame or a hoop for those bigger samplers? I’m trying to use a scroll frame but it hasn’t been going well since I don’t have a good stand and I’m not crazy about stitching in the well. More experimentation needs to happen before I give up and move back to a hoop like stitching up top, trying a slate frame instead or biting the bullet on a good stand. It’s a learning experience right?! Another great video!
So glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for your nice note! For larger projects, I have used a scroll frame. It works well, but is t quite as portable as a hoop. I tend to leave the a scroll frames at home. I’m not sure when I will start the Uffindell sisters. I have so many other things in the que, it might be awhile before I do. If you start, be sure to keep me posted on what you decide to use for the linen and flosses. Thanks so much for your note! 🙂
Hi Sandy, thanks so much for your note. If I have the floss in my stash, I pull it from there, if not, then I purchase what I need. Just depends on the project and if I have it on hand or not. Thanks again for your note
Thank you for a nice video. I have a question about the floss drops that you use. Besides the beauty of having your threads on the drops (which may be reason enough), what is the benefit of putting the threads on the drops? I see people doing this so often, but I haven’t asked them-“why”. And, once you finish the project, what do you do with them? Do you unwind the thread? Do you use them on another project-resulting in mismatched drops on the new project? Just curious and I’d appreciate your input.
Hi Kay, so glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your nice note. I would like to answer your question on my next FlossTube of you don’t mind. It is an excellent question and I’m sure others are also curious about the floss cards as well. Thanks again, will make a note of your question and cover it next time (in a few weeks.). 🙂
Love your nice voice and lots of knowledge but I do get motion sick and you were just to quick this time with holding the patterns up. I ended up having to look away because of nausea. This would help me if you held longer and not going back and forth with the patterns.
Hi Theresa, Thanks so much for your note, I appreciate it so much! Thank you for the feedback, I will try to hold the charts longer and not be so quick to move them. Thank you for letting me know.
I put "thankful heart" onto my wish list. I love that you changed the mermaid to a mariners star.
I am currently working on "The Winter Is Past", I'm doing it one over, it is my first one over and I am loving it, it looks so delicate. I love lugana, it is my favorite.
I also use 4. Glasses with a magnifyer lamp.
Your floss cards are a great idea.
Thanks for sharing your work.

Very pretty finishes.
WOW! That's a lot of haul, but gorgeous!
Hang on to that Needleprint design, they are well sought after.

Happy you are back. Decisions , decisions. What fun.❤️
Thanks, Elaine! 🙂
You are right, decisions. 😳😉
I would give Evenweave a try. I found it very easy to work on, even stitching over one. You can stitch over two threads as well. Give it a try and let me know what you think about it. 🙂
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing!❤
Thanks, Rhonda. So glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for your nice note. 🙂
Welcome back! Thank you for sharing your plans.
Thanks, Linda! 🙂
I always enjoy your videos!
Hi Cecilia, so glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for your note!
Doing the Prairie Schooler over 1 sounds so cute.
I so enjoyed your video. Your finishes are outstanding! Please how u Live on Little when it is an FFO! Thank you for all your tips.
Thanks Tracey! So glad you enjoyed the video and thanks so much for your nice note! 🙂
You have plenty of new kits now to start stitching. It would be overwhelming for me.
Hi Sharon, you are right, a bit overwhelming. . . but I'm slowly deciding what to start next.
Thanks so much for your note!🙂
Karen, glad to see all the nice stuff you bought. Could you address the idea of what is aida friendly ( meaning patterns) I want to stitch everything, but I am an aida stitcher. ❤
Hi Martha, so glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for your nice note!
I believe most patterns can be stitched on Aida as long as they don’t have specialty stitches. (And I believe even some specialty stitches could still be done on Aida. )
In my next FlossTube, I will pull some that would be a good Aida stitch and some that might not be as good.
Great question! 🙂
Just lovely finishes and shares. Thanks
2 questions though, while preparing your 2024 book of stitching where did you get those wonky letters for finishes and wip titles? Also you prepared cut lengths of floss on your wimding boards, where did you get or how did you make them please share,,!
Thanks-a new subscriber.
Hi Eileen, so glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your nice note.
These are great questions, I’ll be taping a new floss tube in a few days and will answer your questions there if you don’t mind.
I can tell you the winding board is from RNR Woodworks in Kentucky. Here’s a direct link:

Thanks again.
Do you buy skeins of new floss for each pattern you kit up? Seems like such a huge investment.
Where can I find the 2 groups you mentioned on this episode? Thanks
Hi Janet, I put their webpage in the description. You should be able to click on the link and be taken directly to their website.
❤❤ Beautiful ❤❤ thanks for sharing ❤ Love your sewing 🪡 room ❤️ InezArnetta 🌹
Thanks, Inez. 🙂
Did you get both Uffindell's for free?
ZOWIE.....
Both charts (Isabell and Ann) are in the same booklet.
Enjoy your channel but you go so fast when you are showing things you don't get to look at them.
Thanks for your feedback, Dawn. Will try to do better in the future.
