Real talk we have to give major props to Shawn for immediately recognizing Ryan was having a real bad moment and immediately shut it down to protect and console him. Not only did he go straight into dad mode, he also went into true friend mode. Out of any time I’ve met them, Shawn has always been incredibly nice and genuine - and I can say the same for all of them, they are consistently the most positive interactions I’ve had with with anyone with any level of “fame” or whatever you want to call it. Honestly, there’s a lot of scummy people out there online and in the TH-cam/creator space. But you can just tell the mega64 boys are good guys and have a heart behind everything, even when they’re playing a-holes as a bit. which is maybe just one reason people still tune in after 20 years. This is my truth.
Garrett was playing 4D chess the whole night. Pulling the strings to get Bug Stunt 2 to happen. Strategically accepting a last place finish on the milk. And computing the weight differential between buttered popcorn and caramel corn on the fly.
Seems like he was embarrassed and tried to save face by saying it was fake, in my opinion. It was sad to see but glad he handled it so well given the circumstances.
@@jayzeus7 ah tbf, panic attacks are legit really scary and Ryan handled it with about as much grace as he could have. He’s a sweetheart and I’m glad he powered through, nothin but love for the guy.
To be honest, Rocco competing with the Santa jacket on is kinda like Piccolo fighting with the weighted clothing on, it's a constant appetite nerf. Imagine what he'd be able to do without it.
My favorite part of every christmascast is Rocco screaming "HE'S POPPING" I have no idea why it's so funny I nearly pissed myself laughing live at the Frank/Ryan double pop
Rocco’s pie stunt genuinely had me crying and gagging. I am not squeamish to gore or nasty stuff, but I truly had to look away, and cover the screen. It really got to me. I cracked up when Derrick mentions half the live audience was gone. Absolutely amazing show, fantastic performance from everyone involved. Merry Christmascast everyone.
Goose and Garrett were the true champions this year. Goose was extremely consistent and unflappable despite all the barfing, and Garrett won without popping even once THEN helped clean up everyone else's vomit. If Goose didn't lose so many points and she saved the corn for the final challenge to tip the scales, I think she could have taken it or at least got 2nd.
Garrett won this honorably. He was on top for every round, didn’t puke a single time, and his present was wrapped the best. No tricks or foul play. He deserved the win.
Usually a Doc Ryan hater this time of year (the rest of the time he's fine) but mad props to him for sticking around. I've had panic attacks in public and amongst friends, I can't imagine continuing on with the show if I were in his shoes. Loved to see the support from everyone. Great Christmascast, the dueling pops is my favorite that have ever happened!
@4:30 Richard’s voice is hard to hear, so here’s the transcript: Derrick: How many ChristmasCasts have you attended? Richard: 5 or 6 already. To be blunt, I forgot I signed up for this today, and I’m very much full and I messed up. But you know what? JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON, AND THAT’S FOR-
I'm SO GLAD they left the Dr. Cryin' moment in! It's obviously rough to see a friend have a genuine panic attack like that, but it added such a real, dramatic element to the show that it elevated the whole night. You see Shawn try to de-escalate and move the show on, you see Richard step in and try to calm Ryan down, you see Garrett talk to him in the background to apologize. It was beautiful. It was brotherly love. The true spirit of Christmas.
I'll be honest, I thought it was a fucking bit. The line has become so blurred with Ryan. I am genuinely happy to see all his friends could see it though. In that moment it showed how much they really care for the guy.
This being the first Christmas Cast Shawn decided to bring his kids to is the best thing of the night, between a realistic panic attack and dueling pukes its a night to remember lmao great show boys happy holidays and shit
lol Rocco talking about shitting himself at 2:02:05. What an insane Christmascast though. Possibly the craziest one yet. One of my young kids started watching with me and asked if we can watch this every Christmas.
Goose was my favorite this year. The peoples' champ. The Ryan/Garrett/Rocco historic domination needs to end and I think she has a shot of taking the crown someday. Loved her energy. Her humor gave me a lot of Tim & Eric vibes, similar to the Frank brand.
Wow this was the most legendary christmas cast in quite some time. The mega64 boys have still got it. Thank you for the great entertainment you've gifted us this holiday season 🥰
Goose would have been the leader after gift wrapping had they not implemented the “vomiting is minus 5 points rule”. Girl went so hard. That rule should really only apply to Doc Ryan. He’s really the only one who deserves it.
I think this is the best format so far for Christmas cast. I really liked the mix of some team and some individual competitions. The resurrection bowl is a cool addition. I also liked the number of rounds.
I love that they changed the christmascast format because the old one was getting too gross and extreme and now this format is also starting to reach the Grossness event horizon
Hearing Shawn’s disappointment as he screams at USE THE BUCKET followed by the extra close up view of Rocco’s brain stall expression is killing me 1:55:45
1:26:17 Say what you want about Doc Ryan, but the way Goose went to hug him trying to comfort Ryan while having his panic attack right there is one of the most unexpectedly sweetest moments I've ever seen in all of the Christmascasts so far. Not to mention when she comforts him again after he recklessly tasted a drop of "Da Bomb". Funny how a Mega64 competition all around gluttony and vomit (specially the last one) still finds time for some wholesomeness. Truly a highlight for me.
I have never been grossed out by any of the Christmascasts, but Rocco eating his own vomitpie made me uncontrollably gag for a minute and I had to immediately close my laptop.
Despite the technical difficulties that night, watching this live was amazing. Such a rollercoaster. Kevin being most christ like to resurrect Frank, Ryan faking a panic attack, the double pop, and the king defending his belt. Best Christmas Cast in years
I really liked old Christmas casts better, wasn't too big of a fan of the new competition set up. This however struck a nice middle ground of competition and sheer misery of the old ones, great job guys!
