My infotainment system was out for 4 years, mainly because I didn't want to be over charged by the dealership. I've tried everything until I saw this video. I 100% cosign this. Thanks!!!
Thank you for the video. I was lucky enough to not have to pull everything out. Others may try to unscrew the 2 bolts that hold up the light as you said in the beginning. Once that is pulled down a little(light still in socket) you can see the wires. I was able to push up on the wires and heard them pop back in. The screen worked after that. The cords are very tight as well so usually this can make them come ajar when hitting bumps or railroad tracks repeatedly.
Thank you sooooo much for this video. My radio has been out for months. I finally was about to break and send it to a chevy dealer and spend 300+ on the repair when I came across your video. My boyfriend fixed it in under 5 minutes. He didn't even take off the whole threshold. Just disconnected and reconnected the cable. You are the shhhhh my boyfiend said. Thanks for saving us time and money!!

I tried this fix but it did not work for me. My screen is still out but I also have no audio. I have checked the fuses, and the plugs both to the radio and the HMI unit. At times the radio will come on or even the music playing from my phone but only for a few seconds. I know its got to be a connection issue since it comes back from time to time but I'm not sure where.

I think my HMI is on the driver's side behind the drop down compartment where the internal fuse box for my Chevrolet 2015 Impala LT 3.6. Are all the cables in your video the HMI or is it a specific one? Thanks for any response. My display has been very, very, very dim where you can barely see the display.
No - ALL trim levels are on the RIGHT side on th4e Gen 10, which is what you have. If your dosplay is very dim, go to the control panel and change the brightness/contrast level. If they are in the MAX setting for bright and mid to low on contrast, check the power going to the fuse and see if it's under-powered. (Use a voltmeter for this.)
i have that same model, the 2015 impala LT 3.6, my radio turns on but i get no audio when i play music and there is no audio from the turn singles and door chimes, does all of this still apply to fixing that?
@@kyleyurchak6132 I'm currently having the same problem after a car wash . Only difference is that my display is not Very dim, but it's still dim even though I put the dimmer switch at maximum . Did your backup camera still work even tho the screen was black? I'm having same problem but my backup camera works completely fine but that's it no radio at all just black screen.
No. it was completely useless. My guess one of the cables came loose and once I took them all off and reseated them, all was fixed. In your case it sounds like a signal cable (backup cam) was not affected. I'd reseat ALL of the cables and go from there. If that does not work, check to make sure NONE of the wires popped off the connector itself. I'd use your phone camera in ZOOM mode to check that out.
