Fixed it in under 10 minutes using a 7mm socket and a tiny bit of elbow grease! This HMI is under the right passenger from kick panel. You might have to find out where your HMI unit is in your if not a 10Gen Impala.

EAST COLUMBUS (OH) - Reporting from Rivernet 1, this is a 12 minute shot of the massive electrical storm we were getting hammered with before heading further east. The video included some commentary and some really nice captures of a few lightning bolts dancing through the night sky.

This is the completion of both the RCLogo projects and the Show Intro projects as one continuous stream/block.
My light bulb sockets went inside the overhead console. Any advice on what to do now?

@@AnthonyP2A I thought it was securely locked into place specially when you the bulbs I bought are meant for the Elantra.

Do you have any suggestions on what to do if the power steering goes out? I have a 2015 LTZ and recently my power steering just stopped. I’m trying to find a solution before I pay the dealer an arm and a leg to fix it.
My screen is black I’ve tried the battery unhooking I’ve tried this multiple times and it still not working… any suggestions????

That’s very odd. What’s going on?
Just tried and didn’t work for my 2017 Impala either. Turn car on and screen turns on. Then after 30 seconds to a minute, screen turns off then back on. Keeps doing that for about 10-15 min before staying off
I tried it all too. 17 Impala and nothing. Happened a week ago. Radio and buttons work just black screen
Worked on my 2014 Impala. Screen went black after hitting a pothole. Funnily enough hitting a pothole is what fixed it last time it happened.
sir, I want to remove the entire overhead console but I wasnt able to get it off even with tools. Are there hidden screws? Thanks!

It is the BLUE connector that controls that
I have the 2017 and did this. I unplugged everything and plugged it back in to no avail. What do you mean accessory button?
Any luck with it? My 17 just went out as well but just the screen. Radio and buttons still function

Thanks bro for this helpful information. I removed the bottom part of the glove compartment and the HMI was loose. I snapped it back in place and that fixed the problem

Im finna tell you what worked fr me! Go to your fuse box under your hood, pull number 18 out let it stay out for 45 minutes. Put it back in & start the car! It will come on! I did this & never went out again. Let me no if it workd for you. Simple!

This worked for me but i dont know how 🤣 i followed the video and unplugged the plugs in the video and replugged them in. Started my car and nothing. So i figured while i was under there ill just try every plug i can get at. Unplugged and replugged, tried my car again. Still a black screen :/ Gave up hope and thought well ill be one of the unlucky ones and have to go to the dealership 😪 then i put everything back together and started my car up one last go and it came on 🤣 i was like no way! Lol !! Thank you!
How do you unplug them. I couldn't get them off.
@@carlosallen831 they are challenging if you have larger hands. I even had trouble getting my hands in there. There is a tab you press in while pulling to get it out.

I did this and the piece that holds the bulb fell through the gap and so did the light itself. Now they’re stuck in my roof :(
Did you ever figure out how to revive the whole assembly to get to? I did the same thing.
@@mannyadventures1988 I had somebody somehow fish it out. Managed to get the compartment back into place but unfortunately there is still a light bulb in my roof but at least the light still works
@@mannyadventures1988 sorry to revive an old comment, but same thing happened to me. The socket which holds the bulb was never locked in place from the factory so it popped right out when I opened up the light. Did you ever fix it?
@@LegacyAirTech I spent 2 months working on it. I bought a small snake camera I could connect to my phone to locate the part. Then used one of this from home Depot. I'll paste it below. I popped out the left or right side vanity light depends on what side you think it's on now. Put my snake light camera through there too find it. Then put the grasper through the actual hole of the missing socket, and with luck was able to grab it and pull it back to where it came from. I used a plastic trim remover to hold the back before letting the grip go on the grasper and it popped back in. I rotated it all the way and added my light. I then cried lol. Such a pain in the ass and the headliner is glued so can't pull that down. 36 in. Ergonomic Handle, Flexible, 4 Claw Pick-Up Tool, Jewelry Retriever, Clog Remover, Drain Snake in Chrome

Just I heads up if you plan on changing you headlights, unless you have tiny hand the driver side headlight is gonna be a pain unless you want to take your bumper off, took me 25 mins to do the driver side and a minute for passenger

You can take the inner liner for both sides of the car off without removing the bumper
Thank you, first time mine went down I pulled the fuse and she came back. This time I found a loose connector right where you point out
I tried this fix but it did not work for me. My screen is still out but I also have no audio. I have checked the fuses, and the plugs both to the radio and the HMI unit. At times the radio will come on or even the music playing from my phone but only for a few seconds. I know its got to be a connection issue since it comes back from time to time but I'm not sure where.

@@dashtyATG no in the trunk passenger side there is a Bose amp I got one from the junkyard and fixed my issue
