@@JK-mg2cl If the hinges were on the same side as where the coffee machine cable goes through, I don't think there'd be a big issue. Would just need to be a bit careful when opening the door. Could also extend the wire if needs be.
I noticed that your desk is higher than your arm rests on your chair, & your arms are tilted upwards. I’ve totally messed up my wrists from this, I would strongly recommend fixing the situation before you do too! If your chair can’t go high enough, you’ll want to lower the desk or get a new chair

well since you built the shelves like a set of stairs, you could build a trapdoor entrance on top of the recording booth to avoid sliding under the desk everytime, might be more complicated but way cooler

If you ever get anything on your suspension fork, and it's hard to get off. use alcohol swabs and dry lubricant and it will come right off. I was in Utah 3 weeks ago for Mtb trip, and someone's fork was covered in tahr. we used that stuff and it came right off.
Yeah, seems to me hinging the entire storage side and just using that as a door would have been a better plan. Wouldn't have taken much. Could have even built a floor for that cabinet to sit on so it all swung out of the way. He's talented enough to have managed that.

That porthole is bad ass.. but that booth wont be fun to crawl in to after a crash, but at least you can switch the storage area for a door if need be. hang some booms above those seats and you have yourself a perfect live/interview studio without micing everyone up, just leave them hooked in to a mixer.
A couple recommendations. If you line your booth with homesite it should help with the sound. Very cheap for a 4x8 at Homedepot. As many uses around the shop too. If you get tired of climbing through the dog door hole into the booth I'd suggest a concealed door behind the shelves or storage area. The shelves could be on casters and attach to the booth with a hinge along one side to keep it alined. Just some ideas. Thanks for the videos. Mark
He could also put a big dinner table sort of thing in the middle bay with some sort of cover and sound deadening like curtains around it and something covering the top and have a Seth's bike hacks podcast we can listen to while climbing (never wear earbuds on a descent) just an idea though, parking is cool I guess
That setup looks beautiful, I wanted do something similar, but a on a smaller scale in my backyard. Something like a chill spot shed where I can store my bikes, relax and chill all year round.

@@evancashman7614 Security is the biggest issue when you live in the middle of nowhere. You're a prime target to steal from since cops are ages away and its hard to get help in the middle of nowhere. I lived 10 minutes out of town on a farm we had breaks in every few months of someone coming on the property to steal stuff like farm tools and stuff stored in the barn.
@@JustAGooseman Seems like that's more true for places closer to town, but the further away from town you get, the less thieves bother to go out that far. Also depends on the town you're close to and where you live. Where I'm from, everybody knows that if you get spotted robbing someone, you're liable to meet the wrong end of a shotgun in a rather unpleasant manner.
Love the videos! Your an inspiration. Not many people think of ideas and actually act on them. It all looks like fun! Just an FYI- you didn't need to build the sound booth with a crawl entrance. I would have just used heavy curtains or more utility blankets as a door, used rockwool insulation inside the booth then made sure the mic was on cardioid and not pointing toward the door of the booth and you'd be fine. I'm a sound engineer and mountain biker.
