I don't know about this one. I think the fatal flaw in this theory is assuming any of it will be implemented in a way that benefits society. I see AI as a valuable tool for the 1% to do away with the 99% entirely as opposed to just mostly. If we don't work, then we're entirely unneccessary and valueless to them, politicians would adopt this line of thinking too.
If Adam has such a borderline nihilistic view of the world, then I don't care about his thoughts on AI or indeed humanitarian issues at all.
What is the point in robots creating art for robots to enjoy?

their whole take on this subject so nihilistic no matter how you can spin it... it's worrisome.
Like they are like a lot of the things what ai is doing is bad and could do potentionally and yet their take is not to worry so much while metioning all the negative side effects cause.
but don't worry to much, though.
By saying it's mostly like too late does not anything and only discourages any form of action. actions and regulation that we need.
it's suprising adam's take on this since he is the most creative person of the show.

His take is honestly based and true. It's not nihilistic, it's realistic.
Automation of all kinds of work is inevitable in an ever growing global economy. That's just how it works, and pretending otherwise gets you nowhere. The key point they both emphasized is that it should be embraced ALONGSIDE proper economic programs in place by the government so working isn't a requirement to exist.
