I watched all those races Live, since Beginning of 80's, it was really different from today. In my opinion, there are many differences between Senna, Hamilton and Max. Hamilton is a very skilled guy, I think one of the best today but he doesn't has this type of defense skill. On the other hand, Max is closer to this in some ways but, if you take a look at the Senna's overtakes and defense, he doesn't throw the car over the others, he just keep his way, as you were not there. If you take a look at Max, he stays straight, even at the curve, to push the opponent out of the track...I, personally, think it's not fair enough to let it go. Did you guys remember Las Vegas this year? Leclerc did something very closer to Senna way to drive when he was chasing Perez. I liked that move...Leclerc is a very skilled driver too and different from Hamilton and Max. If they all were with similar cars we would have much more exciting races nowadays.
@mariotorrisi2445 I want to make a comment on it. If you could take a closer look to Max Defensive drive and than look closer to Senna's Defensive drive you will notice that Max, 90% of the times, drives the car over and against the other driver, in way that if this driver doesn't take his car out of the track line he would be hit by the Verstappen car. On the other hand, Senna, most part of the time, keeps his car at the track line all the time, no matter if someone else was trying to overtake him, and it's up to the other driver if he wants to hit him or take his car out, or even give up on the available gap. That's my perception.
honestly people who call Max aggressive are so deluded drivers in the 80's 90's used to go teeth to teeth and wouldn't make it a big deal because it's racing but nowadays with social media they always need a villain and etc
The difference was the rules. Back in Senna's day it wasn't illegal (and there was a bigger speed differential between the cars, making overtaking easier) now many of these moves are illegal, making Max a cunt. Indeed many of these rules exist now expressly BECAUSE of Max’s self-entitled driving. You are not allowed to weave or crowd a driver off the track. Even Max's own invention of taking yourself off to prevent an overtake got outlawed almost immediately. That in itself is a remarkable achievement.
In this video, for me, Senna's defensive drive vs Patrese in Hockenheim was really good. Heartbreak and humiliation for Patrese, while Mansell was cruising towards another P1 finish, Patrese finds himself struggling to pass Senna for P2. One last try, last lap, less than a quarter of a lap to go, outbrakes himself, DNF
Apparently you don't understand a thing. Did you see him how he is holding his line instead of crash pushing out all competitors? Did you notice he is blocking without weaving and always leaving space on second direction change? Did you notice he is done with braking before apex and not using the track width as braking zone not forcing anyone off the track?
@@panagiotisvitas4697 I don't think the weaving argument really stands considering what's seen at 5:20. Also to be honest, there's quite a bit of resemblance between Senna's "chop" maneuver and what happened at the british grand prix this year with Max and Lewis' crash.

The drivers most similar to Senna are Alonso and Verstappen.

Vídeo incrível, trilha sonora terrível.
