After a warm spring day spreading Alan Clyde's farm manure it was pretty clear to John that if summer ever presented itself in 2020 that the performance of the 7810 air-conditioning in it's current state just wasn't up to scratch. You need to stay cool when the pressure starts to build in the hot-seat so it's another mechanical repair for the John Deere and another bill... but she's worth it ;)

Literally just home from sorting out the same problem, no a/c. Seat out, new denso unit and we're running cool again 😎👌

@@farmflix the thought of taking the seat out alone was disgusting 😅 a helping hand and we were all done in about an hour, 2 second job once the seat was out of the way

Yep oil filter over tighten and probably didn’t give the seal ring a rub with used oil
they always seem to tighten up by the time they come off though...
If you have the old motor test the resistance sensor it could be 10k ohms at 20 degrees C. Then Try a 10k Ohm resistor .
That john deere seems to be in the repair shed very often john.... 😉

John, did you find the rear McHale mower heavy? I have one and you would need to keep your whits about you on side hills..
Wasn't working on any mad hills, would recommend adding some counterbalance weights on the frame they provide for it just to take stress off the cross shaft but we didn't have any on for the demo... Videos to follow 👍
I have 450kg on her to save the cross shaft. Robust machine but strength comes with a price. Triples would be a fair weight.

I had a fella tell me one time it’s good to run the ac in winter time because it pulls the moisture out of the air in the car . Saves the windows fogging up . Do you think there’s any truth in it ?
No idea but that's what most cars do by default if you direct the air to the front window

Appeared to be 100 but a demo is never quite the same as owning them for a couple of seasons.... videos coming in September

Why was yer man using a trouser belt to loosen the filter? There is tools to loosen it without damaging the filter
Sometimes you have to use the tools you have to hand though... We'd just have put a new filter on if we had time to have her parked ;)
That filter didnt come off with the correct tools, it was a heavy screwdriver job when she got serviced
Them 7810’s never had great air con we used to call them mobile greenhouses for a reason😕

If that Oil filter gives you some grief, then Millennial Farmer has a great video tutorial on how to change a filter. Guess it's a common thing on those green goats
know how to get it off ok but we had no filter to replace it that day and couldn't leave her disabled
@@farmflix I hope it all worked out well. And I know from watching all the other videos on the 7810 that you would always make sure that she's well taken care off. My comment was more meant as a joke because I know that those filters can be a bugger to get off. And MN surely did have a good time with 1 filter a while back :)
