    On the kiss thing i feel like it's a lot about self control of how aware you are. And if you know yourself control isn't that great i think it's fair to not put yourself in a position to tempt yourself if that make sense. I mean even if the self control is great it's still testing yourself and your limits

    I'm 28. Always waiting. Squeaked out 1 date in the past 7 years. No matter where I go, how hard I try. Women friends are baffled. I know my friends wife waited until she found her husband at 38. Fear is a huge factor. Wasted years, hardened hearts. Wondering if its even worth it anymore, because you didn't find someone, and now its too late. To be with someone, who you aren't satisfied with, isn't like you, you couldn't grow with, or that you waited too long, and now will be childless. There is a cost.

    What a fantastic video to have!! And thanks for your kindness and humbleness in responding to comments which might be hard pills to swallow.
    Some suggestions for the video if you would like to consider:
    (For more effective communication)
    1⃣I see you quoting many scriptures within the video (3:09-4:30), while they are not quite relevant to one another. As a viewer, I find it a bit confusing and hard to follow when a bunch of (not so related) scriptures are quoted all at once. Some possible solutions may be focusing on fewer scriptures which surround a similar topic but provide some simple explanations regarding the scriptures. I guess this might help viewers to grasp and understand God's word easier. Afterall, we want God's will and kingdom glorified.
    2⃣Hence, providing citations of scriptures when you quote them will be beneficial to viewers when we want to look up the exact verses quoted in the video.

    Here's food for thought for some of those commentors. ANY sexual activity outside of commitment reduces the involved parties to objects of pleasure. This is not a religious ideal, it just IS, whether we like it or not. Sadly, most of us have consented to these conditions at one point or another. However, consenting to this behavior doesn't stop the body from doing what it's naturally wired to do, which is to attach to another. So, when we act, even consentually, in a manner that is contrary to our fundamental design, we essentially disregard the dignity of the human person. In other words, we sacrifice the well-being of the other for our own pleasure.

    I like watching these videos of yours. Physical compatibility as discussed in the video is not as important in God's plan for a Godly mindset since it's about the inside of the person and not the outside. "But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7).

    I am curious to know, where exactly is "dating" backed by the scripture of God?

    • @wafflesaucey
      @wafflesaucey 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      It's not; the culture was completely different. They had courtship instead, where a man and woman would get to know each other with a chaperone, and the man would decide if he wanted to marry the woman. If he did, he would pay a bride price to the father, who would decide if he would give his daughter to the man in marriage. If the father chose to, they were betrothed, which meant they were legally married, even though the marriage wasn't consummated in a ceremony.
      Obviously, our culture is completely different now, but dating can be Christian if done with the guidance of God and His word.

    • @tianadaugett8067
      @tianadaugett8067 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@wafflesaucey I know the majority of the men in my church like the back of my hand. In my church we treat each other like family, we all do things together and hang out and do stuff as you would with any other friends and family that you have. I know that most churches aren't like mine and what if the man doesn't go to your church? I want you to think about the close relationships that you have in your life. You didn't have to date them, yet you know them extremely well. Contrary to popular belief, you don't have to date someone to get to know them for marriage. Dating was not something originally created to help you figure that out to begin with. Dating is something created by the world that allows you to have all the pleasures of being married without being married. If the man treats you like he would any of his sisters and you treat him like any of your brothers ( because that's how the bible tells us to treat one another in Christ ) you can get to know a lot about a person.
      The Bible says he who finds a wife finds a good thing. I will be focused on my relationship with God, doing whatever I know God has called me to do, and following his will. With that being said, a Godly man will be the one to see you in hopes of marrying you because of the Godly characteristics he has seen in you. Now does that mean we just say yes just because he shows interest? No, of course not. I have actually already been able to experience this myself. The young man spent time with my family and me and even began to attend my church. During this time, I was able to learn and see his character without getting my feelings in the mix. I was able to see that, while yes he knew the word of God and understood it, he found it very hard to follow it. He had a hard time following instructions from leadership concerning himself and how he should deal with me. He also proved to be very overly emotional and double-minded. I learned these things just by keeping a watchful eye on how he interacted with my family, the people in my church, and leadership. All without getting my feelings in the mix.
      The biblical characteristics that we should be looking for in our spouses are things that can be seen and observed in their everyday lives. For example, my parents did not date before they got married. They were best friends for 3 years and then one day my father realized that my mom had all of the characteristics that he wanted in a wife. After realizing that, they didn't then start dating for a number of months to " get to know each other more". They prepared to get married, and shortly after did. That's because they knew that one another already had the Godly characteristics they were looking for in a spouse. I believe the issue is that people are trying to get to know each other on an intimate level, which if we are not married we shouldn't be doing. The Bible tells us everything we need to know about what a good man and a good woman look like, and none of them have to do with anything intimate.
      The Bible tells us to flee from temptation. We do not purposely put ourselves in a position where we can be tempted or where we might be tempted. If there is a possibility of it, we should stay away from it. We can not place ourselves in a position where we know we might be tempted and then try and have faith and ask God to help get us through. That is called tempting the Lord which the bible tells us not to do.
      Matthew 4:6-7
      6 says And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
      7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God
      Jesus is saying that putting yourself in a dangerous position on purpose is tempting God and we should not do that.
      So while I find it interesting that most people think that kissing is a conviction thing I don't believe it is at all, rather it shouldn't be done at all if you are not married to that person. Just to be clear, I'm not talking about how you would kiss your parents or siblings, but rather kissing someone you have physical attraction to or that you want to marry but are not married to yet. I believe these things based off scripture. As I said before, kissing can be or might be a temptation for anyone, which is why we should stay away from it and not try and test it. We should stay away from anything that could even be a temptation. On another note, the Bible also says it's good for a man not to touch a woman. This was being talked about in the context of people that are not married and how they should conduct themselves, but as a people we seem to always skip over this verse.
      Also being betrothed to someone and courting are separate from each other. After the courting process the two either go ahead and get married or don't if they feel they're not a match. Betroval happened usually when the children were born or young between two families usually for the purpose of agreement and business. There are times when it happens later, when the children are older but it's again usually for the same reason and thry are betrothed because they are not old enough to be married yet. In the Courting process, both people are ready and are able to be married which is why they are courting because they are trying to see if each other have the qualities they are looking for in a spouse.
      We as Christians should be courting not dating.

I do believe that two people should get married as soon as they have decided the other’s qualities are what they want in a spouse, and that unmarried couples should not do anything more than good friends would. But we just call it dating now, no matter what it is. I seek something more like biblical courtship.

    God is logical. He does not give principle without purpose.
    Sex outside of marriage is a danger to heart, mind, and body. Emotion, psychology, disease, unexpected pregnancy, birth control related physiological damage, potential exposure to dangerous situations, any number of things can go wrong when you don't give both sex AND marriage their proper respect. And that includes not walking into marriages with assholes.
