1. To set up a permission rule, select a group and decide if the manager should inherit the same permissions, with options to extend this to their manager or higher levels.
2. Choose the target population for the permission rule, either for everyone or specific categories like location or department.
3. Save the changes after selecting the group and target population.
4. Permission groups can be created as static (importing via CSV) or dynamic (manual creation).
5. Static groups are updated by re-importing a modified CSV file, while dynamic groups are managed directly through the interface.
6. In the dynamic creation process, you define the group name, select categories from the people pool, and optionally exclude certain members.
7. The "people pool" section allows you to filter employees by username, location, or other criteria.
8. Static permission groups cannot be manually edited once created; changes require re-importing the updated CSV file.
9. Dynamic groups let you manually add or exclude members and see real-time updates in the group.
10. To create a permission group, select the group type, add members from the people pool, and save the group, which will be reflected under the dynamic or static category accordingly.
