That was an amazing start too the video. I am 49yrs old and split engines and trans at a salvage yard 2000 plus cars on site. Hello there, question. After you put the motor to TDC, and you put the chain on. Aren't you suppose to line up the markings on the Chain and the dot on the cam gear ?
this helps me out. i have a engine (k24a2) im about to tear down it seems seized. its been sitting for 2 years so hope its just rust on the rings but i know ill at least be able to use the head and maybe freshen up or overbore it a bit

Good question, love the video, I have 08 TSX w/ the K24A2. K20 head has me thinking now. I have basic bolts ons and have a KTuner V2 ready to go BUT I am definitely ordering the 4P ported oil pump kit and RBC(i think, first K motor, all B series before) RSX VTC that I believe is locked at 40 from HeelToe. Any higher I think you will get piston to valve damage on just a regular K24. Definitely holding off on dyno tuning till those are installed so I can push her safely up to 9K. Interested to know what you can push timing to on a K24/K20 build. Good question cause Im also curious and Ive seen some of your videos, your in CT right? Im right up in NH. Quick question and it's a little bit off topic but is there a way to remove the girdle/crankcase cover while in the car without pulling the engine? Mine has a pretty bad oil leak in one spot where it meets the block.

How's it going brudda, is 80lbs double valve springs okay for a stock k20z1 head for turbo application, also is it true having a stiffer valve springs, i need an after market timing spring tensioner??? Thanks and appreciate all the inputs
the rotor thing always gets me... I always have the fins going against the grain therefore it brings cool air into the middle rather than expelling hot out of the middle.. if that makes any sense.
