Isnt the 5:23 one kinda a Sweet Child O Mine kinda lick "Thats where I recognize it atleast"
yeah, its used in sweet child, slash use all over the place though, for example in the slither solo, I also think kirk hammet uses it in the unforgiven 3, although I might be wrong
DinosaurFromFuture the 3rd lick is actually something Randy Rhoads used in his spotlight solos, zakk later adopted that style lick after Randy.

This is a pretty valuable piece of information. I've been trying to develop my own stuff, but having premade licks to practice with makes things so much easier.
Love the way you bookended the licks with a decending lick and a assending lick and a great neck climber in the middle with some awesome string bends in the mix . Some endless combos to be had in these little gems .

Awesome video! the way you broke down each lick was great, when played at full speed I was like "damn that looks hard" then you slowed it down and they were actually pretty simple! I will check out some more videos for sure now!

I really like that Randy Rhoads-inspired lick. That's a great lick idea I hadn't thought of, and it goes well with other scales too, not just pentatonic!

Great playing and instruction. Can’t help but notice you have the pickups almost flush with the pick guard. Works well and brings out the true character of a Strat. Works especially well on clean tones but also allows those great sonic characteristics on high gain settings, as you obviously know. Smart man!

I remember hearing ex. 5 when I heard the solo in 'Maiden's "Quest for Fire" (the harmony part at the end of the solo, anyway). I was a complete beginner at guitar and kind of a beginner with metal. At the time, it sounded so fresh to my ears.

The Ozzy song where Zakk Wylde plays lick #2 in that ascending pattern you mentioned is "Desire" off of No More Tears. Great song and kickass solo.
