Very goog - you forgot the onion or garlic - taste mutch better
Pathetic
Bratan i m with you!!!!
The greatest TH-cam channel ever! You got a subscriber in me.
It will taste much better if you put chopped onion there. In Yugoslavia we ate canned sardines mixed with chopped onions and adding several drops of vinegar.
Da da brate to je obavezan doruchak na paijaci
my Slovenian Grandma used to make that.
With really super super flat pancakes with a slight slight burn on them. Everyone the same slight burn
they were perfect
Yes ❤
We also do that here at Phils. We use vinegar or lime fruit with onions delicious
Looks good to me
You’re a prime example of a 25 year old soviet citizen
😆👍
what communism does to someone
I agree this 25 old Soviet woman looks better than other
I'm not a comunist, but even not being so, it's fascinating to read how FEW you know about comunism... By the way, tomato-fish-bread is amazing too in all Mediterranean area, by the way, delicious!!
@@DrSoWhat theres nothing true about communism when its all propaganda and lies to paint a pretty picture, 100 million dead for a system thats never worked
We have that in Norway too, it's delicious 🇧🇻👍 we call it (Makrell i tomat) meaning "macrel in tomatoes" i don't know if i spelled that right😅

Russland hat eine geniale Küche
@@boristomaschewski3547 the world knows Russia has a very good culinary culture, but a lot of people starved during the USSR. Western kids nowadays want the same USSR lifestyle for some unknown reason 🤷
Omg, instant points for using that old style can opener. My grandmother had one omg! I love this guy!!!
Grandmother, I still got one. Don't use it but I used to
Mackerel on tomato sauce with mayonnaise on bread. When i worked in Norway i used to eat it for breakfast.
👍👍👍
Sardines are good too
I've loved sardines since I was a kid I still buy them sometimes. If you mix them in with the tomatoes and stuff for bruschetta it's delicious on some bread but I'll also eat them straight from the can I wish fresh sardines weren't nearly impossible to come across in the US
As a U.S. citizen, if I was a kid this looks disgusting. As an adult, this looks delicious. I’d definitely try that.
What was the point of letting us know you’re an American citizen?
@@Kewrcause kids in the us have the privilege to say what they don’t like…
Well Americans think it's ok to feed their kids Frosted flakes or some other 50+gram of sugar cereal for breakfast. So i can see why something healthy can make a kid disgusted. Kids all over the world actually eat nutritious foods for breakfast.
@@Kewr relax he's not saying anything wrong or arrogant 🤦♂️
to let people know hes american?
As a citizen of a post-soviet country (Lithuania🇱🇹) , i can confirm that this is literally my everyday breakfast :)
Now I know why my grandma loved her pickled herring!
My girlfriend is Lithuanian and she begs me to go to our nearest polish food shop for a specific type of bread and tinned oily fish at least twice every month
I love sardines, but it sounds rough for breakfast.
Maybe it's because this guys sardines look different than the canned shit i get over here..
Britisher here; this is a pretty common lunch for older people. I love a bit of sardines on toast.
I'm American and this looks pretty good to me. Simple is sometimes best
You’re an amazing TH-camr!
Yes it IS very good. I like to put some salt, cayenne pepper + a few drops of squeezed lemon on it though. Oh and butter the bread obviously :)
In portugal old school field working people used to eat this... I did as well. Very good
Ainda continuam boas 😂😂
A lot of people still do it ,although not exactly this way😂
In Denmark we eat a lot of mackerel in tomato sauce. Put it on a slice of toasted white bread and add some mayo and a boiled egg cut in half. Add some salt, pepper and a bit of parsley.
I swear to god - it is so f-ing delicious. One of my favourites =)
I'm still sympathetic to your Soviet recollection "Don't ask what I have in my lunch box. It's a miracle I have anything." Ouch brother.
yeah. you eat what you have. if anything.

Stalin eats caviar while the rest of the workers, just bread
On average, everyone eats sandwiches with caviar
Out of all soviet leaders, or even world leaders at that time. Stalin enriched himself the least.
This guy is AMAZING!! I love him, and I love Russia!! 🇷🇺 ❤🎉
Me too, as a Türk.

As a Pole I need to admit that it looks delicious😋
I was born in Bulgaria, in '65. When he opened that can, I could smell the fish in tomato sauce.
@@Tuidjy You remember that times Sir. I mean, I was born after the collapse of Soviet Union
As an Australian, a tin of sardines on toast is quite common.
@@billybunter3753 a lot of Americans think sardines are gross than turn around and eat literal poison. Never understood that about my country lol
Haha, I'm 50% Pole, and talk about the strange (but delicious) foods WE were brought up on! I love these kinda channels with Eastern Europe and Russian things, even if it's just fun. Learning about each other makes life better.
As a Pole, coming from the Eastern territories, we still eat that in my family!! It's really yummy indeed 😋
I was incarcerated in Mexico and ate this on special occasions, everyday musta been special in the USSR
@@javierrodriguez-tq8zl Holy Lord, are you okay? Are you doing fine now?
I really have no idea how it was in the USSR, but in my family we eat that quite often, so it's usual for me
@@monikakazanecka5960 I'm good as can be now, thank you for asking. To be honest, I completely understand why your family eats this; it's simply delicious and if anything good has come from said experience, it is this tasty treat. I swear this channel makes me feel like we’re in 70’sor something
The 70s, are remembered fondly by Russians.
I think that's the point!

This is popular in my country too. Mackril in tomato. We call it "plane crash" or "granma's last period".
Lol, what a sense of humor!
😂
I remember me and my grandpa eating this more then 30 years ago
we have the same in the philippines called ligo sardines. it its the same but different can its really taste good with a rice and toasted bread ❤😊
I thought this was Dana White's "f*ck it Friday"
This is exactly the kind of stuff I like to eat for breakfast.
My family also has this can opener ! The wooden handle too!
Wow that's impressive!
I love corned beef hash, looks like dog food, tastes much better! Add some Sriracha for a little kick!

@@cheguevara5560 Australia is basically a VERY large island surrounded by the cleanest oceans in the world. 87% of our population lives on the coast. Believe me when I say, no one can teach us about seafood...
I prefer it grilled on toast. Had it at least once a week. Mustard sauce version is ace. My favourite is tinned peppered smoked mackerel on toast, no sauce, but tastes amazing. Here in the UK you can get a great selection of tinned fish at Morrisons supermarket.
In the USSR there were sprats - canned smoked Baltic sprat. Now, in addition to sprat, there are also mackerel and sardines and iwasi herring.
in England we have sardines on toast! it used to be a more common household dish in the days of rationing and scarcity. you don't see it for sale anywhere as a traditional english food but it's always there in the cupboard for when you need it :)
Nice. Hello from El Salvador
As an AK owner, I too appreciate Soviet culture. It’s the most fun I have at the range
I have an Arsenal SAM7-SF, from Bulgaria.

my man's so wholesome even TH-cams anti Russian bias can't get him.
What if this man is not a real Russian!?
Hey, ya! There really is an anti-Russian bias out there. It makes me sad, cause Russia is such a wonderful place.
@@jeffryhammel3035 especially Russians living outside Russia are saying that Russia is the best place. Not those who are living in Russia.
Other than to inject some laughter into a badly stereotyped land; maybe that's the purpose of these videos - to show the World that people can be fun, proud, and caring without the mansions and fancy cars. If you want to go further and don't mind subtitles, watch a few Russian movies, too. From the really old silent movies to today, there are a lotta gems out there. P.S. : You're absolutely correct - not all countries like America have folks who do nothing but brag about how much better they are than other places!

Necesito urgentemente aprender ruso. Son gente espectacular!
My first girlfriend was from Kazakhstan, she spoke a slightly different dialect of Russian. That was over 25 years ago and I'd still like to learn, however, a second language is a 'use it or lose it' as I've been told. If you have no one to practice with or use it at least seldom you'll get rusty quickly.
I work with several Spanish speaking people and I only pick up bits and pieces. I try to learn nouns as those are the most used words.
