This episode makes me cry, especially Chloe's "He's just my _friend_, you know?" and Lucifer's "especially to you". The whole final scene is impossibly beautiful.
I love that when Lucifer comes home at the end initially he looks grumpy someone has broken into his apartment and trashed it, but when he realises it's people he knows who have had a party he is okay with it. I think it shows he does like it when people give into their desires and live a life of debauchery, even if it's at his expense.
The 'penetration' line was improv by Tom and so the reaction of Lauren was real. Unfortunately you left out Ella's voices in her head. But remember it 😉
I loved the Vegas-style stage show with dancers and Lucifer singing (according to interviews everybody had a blast shooting it), the opportunity for Ella to look great in something else than her lab outfit, the antics of Chloe and Linda at the penthouse the backstory on Candy, Chloe finally being able to talk to somebody impartial about her feelings, ditto Lucifer, and both getting to vital roadmarks in their realizing and processing (therapy blockbuster: "there is no expiration date on the process of healing") Lucifer's (im)material generosity when walking in on his friends who had a party at his place without him, and, of course, the end scene. This was such a full and fun episode, and you guessed such a lot, again.🎉 Curious what you'll make of the next episode. But - no spoilers - more afterwards.
"That's not how this works" is pretty much how Hollywood works! 😀 The number of shows about cops or lawyers that _don't_ regularly make cops or lawyers laugh can probably be counted on the fingers of one elbow! At least this show's up front about the fact that it's set in a fantasy world! 😜
1. Catholic girl between Lucifer and Asmodeus from another series lol. 2. You stopped right after Candy appeared behind gambling Lucifer and Ella - thought you've recognized her. 3. J'accuse - one of numerous examples of Lucifer supposedly speaking every language bud with a baaad pronunciation. 4. I think it was mint ice-cream (still don't know how it goes with Chardonnay) 5. Calling Candy a wife without formalities would be a lie above Lucifer bluffing limits, so he couldn't. 6. Some fans assumed actual 5-digit code of Lucifer's safe to be 24563 - Chloe's name as a phoneword. 7. Penetration joke was adlibbed causing genuine reaction from Lauren German
Lividity doesn't have anything to do with the liver. It refers to the pooling of blood experienced in the lowest area of the body after death. Investigators can determine if a body has been moved if the lividity is inconsistent.
Anna, lividity is not 'part of the liver'. In a corpse the blood, no longer circulating, settles downward with gravity. The distribution and color of the blood are clues as to when the person died and whether the body has been moved.
Sometimes this show makes you feel like the old ladies from that ad ... You know ... "Thats not how that works ... thats not how any of this works!" ... But you have to get over it, and roll with it.
Interestingly, this episode was one of four (the previous being Mr and Mrs. Mazikeen Smith) that was filmed for the second season that they dropped but added back in s3
As i tried to warn you in S1 E1, the police stuff is secondary. I know it's hard to turn it off. The writers of the show will always ignore police protocol, to tell the story. ✌️
OH wow, i was just coming here to say that i cant wait for her to see the reese episode, and after checking imdb i see its actually next! can't wait for that reaction
Ellas voices were just such an interesting line. I still remember this❤ i just loved that little scene with the two of them together 😊❤ Drink today was Soda water with Pepsi syrup 😂
Yeah!. My favorite reactor is back!. Another great reaction. I know you are very busy with no time because you are very very busy ... but ... do you like zombie series?. If you ever find a few minutes of free time you should react to Z Nation. See ya for the next Lucy reaction
Named cast that hasn't bedded Lucifer - Maze, Trixie, Chloe, Ella, & Candy. Yet Chloe, is close with Linda who has, and distant with Candy who has not.
I think it has more to do with when Chloe met Linda. They met very early on and Chloe learned about her and Lucifer's relationship before Chloe ha'd developed any real feelings for Lucifer. It just became another piece of the puzzle regarding who Lucifer was. And of course, Chloe knows Linda ended it, so there's that too. In a way she probably feels a kind of sisterly affection for Linda as Chloe was once in love with Dan and had to make the decision to end that relationship too. With others, such as Candy - especially because they were married and she'd thought her and Lucifer was starting to have a thing - that hurt, so she had a harder time in that situation. -- jmho Adding: Hot peppermint tea with sweet n low.
Ah for a wordsmith, shame on you for mischaracterizing the meaning of "lividity". Nothing to do with the liver, rather it refers to the discoloration of the skin due to pooling of blood and is reddish, blueish or purple coloring (so Ella's dialogue was bang on). And yes others will learn about celestials in a couple of unexpected twists... be patient.
@marcs1951 Well no, I made no claim of being smarter. Rather I was responding to someone who spent a fair bit of time criticizing dialogue or situations from the perspective of being a writer. And in this instance that criticism was mistaken. I said "shame on you" as if I had made such an error, I would be embarrassed by the flub. And if/when I make similar mistakes, I expect others to correct me - which has happened, So no - it did not make me feel better, rather it should be embarrassing to be critical and have your facts wrong.
@marcs1951 She doesn't have to google, but it would have been better if it was more "I think that is wrong/doesn't that mean?" with a tone of confusion instead of "wrong" with a tone of certainty.
Lucifer and his non-conventional gift…simply precious 🥲 Loved Tom Ellis’ improv line and Lauren German’s authentic laughter here. Fun episode ❤

lividity: it's a reddish- to bluish-purple discoloration of the skin due to the settling and pooling of blood following death
6:27 Lividity is how discolored a corpse is.
Was coming here to say this!
Yep. Nothing to do with the liver, it's just about blood pooling since it's no longer pumping through the vessels.
My husband and I made "lividity" a drinking game while watching "Castle", because the coroner would say that word so many times throughout the show 😂
The last scene is probably my favorite scene in the entire season.
I love this episode, showing the backstory of Candy, showing more of Ella's background, the tender moment of Lucifer and Chloe together.
What I love about Chloe doing the thing from Risky Business is that the actress who plays her mom was actually the female lead in Risky Business.
The 'penetration' line was improv by Tom and so the reaction of Lauren was real. Unfortunately you left out Ella's voices in her head. But remember it 😉
😂
Anna: "I wonder if that stuff we learned about Ella will come back later?"
Me: "Well, you edited out the one part that will..."
Such a fun episode 😁
Lucifer & Ella are so adorable together!!!
And that sweet ending....

Its hard to imagine how diminished the show would have been without an Ella

Your questions you ponder in the video will be answered by the end of the season.

Interestingly, I'm pretty sure Trixie is the only one who knows Maze is truly a demon...
I'm trying to make almond milk tolerable by making it a hot chocolate.
You look brilliant today❤❤
When I write, I usually have some Maker's Mark handy . . .
also... "LIVIDITY "has nothing to do with LIVER hahaaaa
Mountain Dew for me.

Is it odd that Chloe is okay talking about her feelings to Linda, knowing she has been with Lucifer?
At this point in the show it easier to ask who hasn't?
