    The etch on the cable looks super dope!!! It's awesome that you'll have a functional piece to bring along with you on your outings.

    From the process I've just seen I can say without any doubts: forging a hatchet is incredibly hard! The second part of the video is very unconventional but I enjoyed it even more than making the axe itself! Great work Spencer! I really like the multiple way you show how the hatchet perform! And I love the handle! Looks awersome!

      Thanks man!! Wanted to show using the tool in a real world environment but I’d rather have chopped up a moose with it!😂

    Well, now we know it's possible to make a beautiful little ax using your technique, if we had your skill. Very nicely done, sir. The title sort of threw me; couldn't imagine making an integral ax.

    Awesome video Spencer, great explanation of the process and it was really cool seeing it in action and a few of the things it could be useful for. Really enjoyed the forging process as well, I’ll be needing one soon haha. 10/10. Thing is a beauty too.

    Cool design. The cable is a cool idea.
    Silly question. The cutting edge on a dozer blade thats removable. Is that low carbon?

    • @HeavyForge
      @HeavyForge  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is low carbon. Thanks for watching!!

  • @Arwndr
    @Arwndr ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice job! Why you don't put inside cutting part real blade with 1-1.2% of carbon?
    Those spring steel has only ~0.6% (good for side or back, but not enough for cut blade)

    • @HeavyForge
      @HeavyForge  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! .6% Carbon is plenty for a chopping tool. 4140 makes very nice axes. Thanks for watching!
