Some military can track without dogs as long as the tracks aren't too well concealed, which judging by how fast and hard Ray was running, they were not.
There wasn't any under growth for him to run through and provide concealment and the mercs weren't far behind him and they also followed the sound of his gun shots

A lot of times a happy ending isn't always the best ending but man I hated this ending. I get where they were going with this season and it's ending. Focusing on the grimy, corrupt underworld in politics/positions of power and how the bad guys usually win but killing both Frank & Ray as well as Ray's messages failing to upload just felt a little cheap. It's obvious they realized people didn't like this season nearly as much as the first as they went back to the original thriller/mystery format with the final season. Great show overall though

Guys, you have to udnerstand something about this season. This is about what bad decision making leads to. What happens when you run on autopilot and let the monkey inside take over. Ray was an absolute piece of shit from beginning to end. Likable, charming, has some kind of code, etc. But if you watch from the beginning you can see that this character, like all the other characters, is just along for the ride. He reacts, he doesn't choose to take a different path. Maybe he likes the path too much, maybe it amuses him, maybe he's a coward, maybe he's just a piece of shit. But whatever it is, this is what happens when you run on autopilot, same with the other two male characters. These guys simply would not grow. And so they die. PIzzalotto is telling you, if you do not make a fucking choice, you will die in a fucking ditch, and there will be no parade, there will be no goddamn message, maybe your soulmate will be upset, but it won't make a damn bit of difference.

I don't know why the second season got so much hate. I think what ruined it was people watching it with the expectations that it would have been better or at least on par with the first season. I was glued to this season as much as I was the first one. Like this scene for example, I like how it keeps in line with Rays character. He's burnt out. Out of shape. Way past his prime. He's running down hill and has to stop every few moments of sprinting to catch his breath. He knows he's going to die and the least he can do is take a couple of guys with him and as long as they are on his ass that's time they are spending on him instead of people he cares about. It actually would have gotten me mad if he all of a sudden gained the upper hand "DUE TO THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!" I'm not saying I wanted him to die but come on it only makes sense that he was going to die he's a guy who has poly substance abuse problems and the guys chasing him outnumber him greatly and are clearly in better shape and better equipped than he is. Anyway I liked this season and sometimes come back to watch it. I was a soldier who fought in Afghanistan. I would typically engage targets from 100-300 meters. That felt pretty fuckin close. You think because they wear man dresses and sandals that they aren't threats? War is all they've known. Ok my point before I trail off is imagine engaging with enemies who don't want to be shot. Sure we had superior firepower and tactics but it's pretty crazy shooting at people even from those distances. Here they are like 20-25 meters away and are healthier than him and right on his ass. He had no fuckin time to try and pick up those weapons at all. If anything I actually applaud whoever wrote this scene because one guy against 6-8 trained professionals is not happening at all lol. He had the grit and determination to try, but so do they. They wanted him dead and executed their plan to do so.

My friends and I took a page right out of a script for a movie and hunted a homeless person in the woods. It was way too easy. Never did that stuff again and always wondered if the body was found. I am guessing not.
I dont remember everything about season 2 I know I was disappointed but still thought it better than 85 % of what was on. Anyway why does he go to the deep woods? It makes sense on the surface but if u think about it ar all it's the worst thing he could have done worst after doing the only thing that could get him caught in going to see Chad, this gives them the isolation to kill and rob him and pretty much insures hes not getting closer to a signal.

Just giving up and running at them was he out of ammo all together? That shotgun could have done the damage he needs without sticking his head out considering there just coming at him pretty much head on not taking any cover giving there position up or at least Burris is. Take him out could probably talk the other 2 down, buy them off or they would probably beat it back to his car rob him and take off rather than risk dying in the woods and him getting away. Seems like he could have gotten away they dont have dogs or trackers and hes in the deep woods with a tactical shotgun, could have done better than just a kamikaze charge but maybe it makes more sense if I watched the whole thing knowing td it probably would make less

We don't know what type of load that shotgun had, slug, buckshot or even birdshot. But yeah, should of grabbed an AR-15 off the guys he killed

I dont remember everything about season 2 I know I was disappointed but still thought it better than 85 % of what was on. Anyway why does he go to the deep woods? It makes sense on the surface but if u think about it ar all it's the worst thing he could have done worst after doing the only thing that could get him caught in going to see Chad, this gives them the isolation to kill and rob him and pretty much insures hes not getting closer to a signal.
No extra clips? Seems like he would at least try to get there guns or ammo, if he can't hes dead so why not? If he can he might live through this. Why not spray around the tree? Just giving up and running at them was he out of ammo all together? That shotgun could have done the damage he needs without sticking his head out considering there just coming at him pretty much head on not taking any cover giving there position up or at least Burris is. Take him out could probably talk the other 2 down, buy them off or they would probably beat it back to his car rob him and take off rather than risk dying in the woods and him getting away. Seems like he could have gotten away they dont have dogs or trackers and hes in the deep woods with a tactical shotgun, could have done better than just a kamikaze charge but maybe it makes more sense if I watched the whole thing knowing td it probably would make less

Tristan Morris he’s not a dirt bag, he’s just got a very hardcore sense of justice and is very cynical. He had a reason for beating up the kid’s dad, it was a very minor one mind you but there was a reason for it. He gets softer as the show goes on and as he starts leaning away from booze and drugs thoughz

Because he happened to have the shotgun, but shotguns suck dick for gunfighting.. so he was using his pistol when possible.
But he wasn't about to leave an extra gun behind so he was keeping the shotgun, but it didn't have a sling... hence he is holding it while using his pistol with his strong hand until it ran dry.
